  1. Good job brit! Wish I had skills to leverage, knowledge of history doesnt seem very impressive to employers Good luck in the future.
  2. Gunner: I spotted a Nvidia glitch on the hatch, firing away! Sorry. Had to.
  3. Don't dispair Mikey, The WW2 nature of this game will drag back all the old combat mission crowd. I have never had complaint in the knowledge of CM Beyond Overlord players
  4. Also, If you ever need any non-programming help I for one would always help. I'm studying history at the moment and would always be willing to help within my own understanding. I'm sure there are others like me too with different skillsets/interests.
  5. Sorry to hear about the poor sales. EoS truly is a solid product that has had dedicated support for a long time. I fear these type of games will continue to be a niche product, probably wont be very profitable anymore. Too many people are fixated on graphics and 12.0 pixelubershaders. I hope that if you have anymore products in the wings, or will continue the EoS line with an 'Expansion pack' or such youll let us know here There's plenty of fans over here.
  6. Good job Brit, amazing dedication! I dont believe I have come across such long standing dedication to a game project before. Loving all the new stuff since I last played!
  7. Need any more? Id be more than willing to join!
  8. 'You would have to make a custom ruleset and a custom scenario so the forces, ranges, firepower and production capabilities are right. ' Thats fairly easy, thanks to brits modding system! I did a cackhanded one for an Iwo Jima map once. On that note however, some brainstorming for me...... US units: US marines .50 cal mg? (slightly increased range over infantry, high firepower, slower movement however) US fighters US bombers US artillery US ships (high on the AA, less on the FP) 81mm Mortar (high fp, slow) Jap units: 'Banzai' troops (just regular japs, who make frontal assaults) Jap ships (high on the fp lower on the aa) jap mortar (moves as fast as infantry, weaker than US mortar) Zero fighter Destroyer transports
  9. A good idea or not? It would be two players, not many cities. American vs Japanese: Americans land in the east of the island (Lunga pt) expell the Japanese garrison. Some air forces land to defend. The US navy leaves/is defeated off the coast Japanese reinforce the west of the Island (Tassafaronga) US regain naval control of the coast Japs make a couple of massive night attacks mainly on the airfield The scenario would be 2 player multiplayer only. No production of units.
  10. We have enough soft skinned vehicles already, no need for trucks
  11. I will do so, thanks moon! I'm pretty sure it's not just yesterday, I've had it on my file drive for a long time but $5 is pretty fair
  12. My computer was recently, too put it lightly, raped; by a virus. I was forced to wipe the ENTIRE 3 partitions including my D drive which I used to store games and long term files etc. Along with that went my CMSF.exe I have my serial code and could probably dig out the date of the purchase somewhere, however I think the '365' day limit thing may have been exceeded. I'm wondering if I could get a new download link to it? As I have this year purchased Marines, British forces and NATO which would be useless without the base CMSF!!!! Thanks for any info On top of that I'd probably need a reset of the elicence's too as that was one of the first 'programs' to get infested with whatever virus I had!! So in uninstall it just crashed at the e-licence part.
  13. It's probably due to the already cpu intensive nature of the game, if they increased it many people wouldnt be able to play it even on pretty decent pcs. If it was me id have helis working similar to CMSF, off screen fire missions/scouting/dropping troops in, getting wounded out (for bonus points?)
  14. I lost 4 Marders on the first German mission It's brilliant :D
  15. good patch, good game, well done guys!!!
  16. we need a 'tank hunt' order. They move forward holding fire with infantry weapons and only firing at weapons, the same as hunt except no rifles.
  17. While I love the Germans, and I see many others do, I have to say so far my favorite is the Canadian Campaign. It's uncharacteristically infantry heavy, and its a refreshing new problem to solve! Also the Canadians have a certain 'exotic' nature to them, being a VERY rare inclusion in strategy games, to the consternation of Canadians everywhere Id imagine The first mission in this campaign is one of my favorites overall so far for these reasons!.
  18. +1, love blowing syrians out of their hidey holes with these
  19. I've got to say I disagree, I am constantly ****ting myself in CMA due to the smaller squads + worse equipment by the russians. You get a real feel of fear from the battles and trying to conserve your force. However I do agree the briefings are shorter. I think this is due to it being based on a real conflict as opposed to a fictional one as in CMSF. Still, more depth could have been given.
