  1. All the more reason to bring along a bigger map. By the way, any input here by the developers would be greatly appreciated...
  2. If they were any closer, they'd be in back of me......
  3. Thought the time might be right to ask this question: Is an "expansion" for this game in the works? If so, how long from now, approximately?
  4. Probably just put some points into diplomacy and got some time "tips" from his spy report lately.
  5. ....and so speaks the great Kal-El, fearless leader of the planet Krypton, as he watches his doomed planet face imminent destruction...... But seriously, if you want to use the swastika or hammer and sickle in the game, it's certainly up to you if you're just trying to be historically accurate. For many people though (including this forum, obviously) these flags (and yes, the confederate flag) are symbols of hatred and prejudice and are bound to invoke strong feelings in not too few of them. Ranson 552, you're not the first person to be misunderstood here, so I wouldn't sweat it. You seem all right to me. Fred19, XW meant the Nazis were committing atrocities as early as the mid-20s (which they were indeed), not necessarily in control at that time.
  6. We're not talkin' swastikas here, are we?
  7. I'm afraid you pretty much need the whole enchilada. The USSR will just keep jumping cities with the capital until there just about isn't any left to jump to.
  8. Watch out though: only one Axis player gets the spoils when the USSR falls.
  9. Seems to me Kuni ain't the only one who's been banned here often. Lookout: I smell the GMAN cometh.
  10. Great point, Sea Monkey. As long as they get decent naval escort, they could do a great job better at shore bombardment than the rest of the navy.
  11. As far as what the HQ stands for, as long as the HQ has no combat ability, it should not count towards stacking. If the HQ is given some combat ability in any way for SC3, then it should count towards stacking.
  12. Uh, Oh. I see dark clouds gathering or my name ain't Snowstorm. Sounds like a great match!
  13. Yes indeed, seems like most of the old guard suddenly coming alive out of nowhere....gee, wouldn't have anything to do with it being a SC3 thread, now would it? Now if I can find a way to get JerseyJohn's attention... Hexes and more diplomacy options are my vote. Diplomacy seems to need to have a greater effect on the game than it does in its present form. Another idea would be to link a campaign from WWII to the Korean War with new and improved diplomacy ability...
  14. I thought I'd been around alot with being a meteorologist, an electrician, and an economist, but Rdent, you have made me look like a novice. Quite a history you have there, and still 6 years younger than me. Welcome aboard....again. Some of those game titles sure bring back memories....
  15. Just about finished Alliance of Evil playing the Allies, and discovered a strange occurrence: Germany is overrun and surrenders, with Russia still fighting on. Captured Oslo, and Norway surrendered, with all enemy units in Norway gone. HOWEVER......remaining cities in Norway remained under Axis control, inspite of Norwegian surrender, and no enemy units in those cities. Shouldn't all of Norway switched to Allied control, without my having to move units into them to gain control? Seems like a bug to me.
  16. I believe Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia are all represented as one entity in the form of Yugoslavia for the purpose of this game.
  17. Then perhaps for those like Gorgin, an alternative music selection such as elevator music can be added. Suspicions of the wives will not be aroused.
  18. Since it takes longer for the jet stream to retreat northward from the northern climates (such as Europe) than the southern climates (such as southeast Asia) in the spring, it only makes sense for it to take longer for Europe and north Asia to calm down. The most active weather tends to take place along and just north of where the jet stream lies at a specific time. Take it from a former weather analyst, like me. Its just realistic and logical, or my name isn't "Snowstorm".
  19. I'm afraid we do have a problem here folks. I tried to start the game editor, the mouse turns into an hourglass for a few seconds as if searching, then nothing happens. I also have Windows XP with Service Pack 3, a Dell Pentium D 2.8 Ghz with 2 Giigs RAM. I think there is a problem here, Hubert.
  20. I quite agree, Colin. In the strategy you mentioned I believe anti-sub tech is the way to go. However, it may not work as well under different strategies/scenarios that may occur. There really isn't a strategy that works under all conditions, but under this one, it may (especially if one turns off the diplomacy option).
  21. Another option is to just land an amphibious force on hostile and, seize a city or two, and you will find soon enough you can "operate" your air units a few at a time to that city(ies). I've done it many times in the past. Otherwise the earlier posted options will suffice.
  22. Of course, one playing as the Allies could sink some anti-sub tech chits into their destroyers and counter those Axis subs.
