  1. Actually, a form of number two happened to me during the demo. I had a brit squad enter the largest building, that makes up the police compound, and they did some odd stuff. The men seemed to ignore the door, and walked through the walls. And after entering the room one guy walked outside.
  2. AKD, so does this mean the PK, PKM, and PKT are unable to get ammo from vehicles? I was unaware that there were two types of 7.62 ammo, and just assumed all Syrian weapons used a single type of 7.62 ammo, besides the AK-74 family. I guess that's what I get for not reading past the x.
  3. As long as we remain in the modern setting ammo types are pretty easy to figure out. All NATO rifles use 5.56 while all Warsaw Pact weapons use 7.62, the one exception is the AK 74 which uses 5.56. While any machine gun uses 7.62. As a general rule of thumb. You can simply see what types of ammo the squad has, and decide from there what kind to pick up.
  4. They could of saved a whole lot of trouble just by popping smoke on the wounded guy.
  5. Even if there are no new Red force the game has still changed, if you play from the Red perspective. I Usually play Red, and I can tell you fighting the Marines is strikingly different than fighting the U.S. Army. Just as fighting against the British will be different than fighting against the U.S. forces. I would also like to say the AA element of AAA can be abstracted by the scenario designer. There are a huge number of scenarios where blue air assets make no appearance whatsoever.
  6. I saw the force selection as a trade off. You get a bunch of artillery, but a small amount of infantry, and no Warriors.
  7. I noticed that after killing the crew on a ATGM it said weapon abandoned. So is it now possible to destroy or damage a crew served weapon?
  8. I was downloading between 50-70 kbps.
  9. The thing is, I don't think they were split up. When I told the Javelin team to dismount the team went from the 2 men shown in the vehicle, to four men.
  10. I was just curious, why are the demo scenarios not included in the main game? Also, in the British Demo mission the Jackal carrying the 4 man Javelin team only showed two men in the team when selected.
  11. Perhaps its the TV? I tried this, and it works fine on my 21 inch LCD screen.
  12. You do realize this is the equivalent of BFC asking you to skip on a Big Mac next time you go to McDonalds, right?
  13. I would be up for a game chadnobbe@yahoo.com.I would prefer to play the Brit map, but I don't care if i play blue or Red.
  14. I was under the impression that backwards compatible upgrades, I.E. animations, were going to be applied to all CMX2 games. I would at least think CM:SF would get these upgrades, Improved inf AI, animations etc, up to the NATO module release.
  15. I guess I'll get in line for a game. I will play Blue or Red any setup.
  16. I was under the impression that information sharing currently happens, and that is why maintaining C2 is so important.
  17. Falconander, I got the map. I just need your email now.
  18. If someone else would want to join me in a PBEM I would be up for a game.
  19. I will continue to play CM:SF concurrently with CM:N. Mainly because I have discovered the wonderful world of PBEM, and it is rather easy to play multiple games at the same time. However, I see no reason for a CM:N forum until the release is within a week or two, and BFC wants to build some more hype. Until then there would be no reason for a CM:N forum. But I will have to agree, the release of CM:N will most likely herald the end for most conversation on the CM:SF forums. As the questions about Tac AI, and other features intrinsic to the game engine would move there.

I'll play either side and any type of battle. I will also do Blue vs. Blue, and Red vs. Red. I have the Marines module PM me or go ahead and send me a game at chadnobbe@yahoo.com
  21. Steve's post sneaked in while I was typing mine.
  22. I lost my gunner for a recon Stryker. However, when I gave the Stryker a target command the driver refused to switch to the gunner's position. The Stryker was still mobile.
  23. Most PBEM problems arise when smaller battle sizes are chosen. The lack of the understrength platoon means the QB system must always purchase a full sized platoon. Which in smaller battles take up all the points. Resulting in pure forces when you ask for a mixed force.
  24. As AKD said, infantry smoke really comes down to luck when the bullets start flying.
