  1. Part Six: Now that I have my forces in place I order them into the village proper. There are still a few ENY units scattered about and I am wary of AT teams setup inside buildings. The Russian have other ideas and decide to surrender as they realize that victory is hopeless. Part Seven 7 (AAR):
  2. Part Five: The right flank is under control and my tanks have secured the corner of the village and E95. I order my central platoon up in preparation of assaulting the wood line where where I believe is what is left of a shattered ENY force.
  3. Part Four: My MB Oplots continue to put the pressure on the Russian AI in and around the South Eastern corner of the small village. They score several more kills and take some sporadic 30mm cannon fire. 2nd Platoon swings out slightly more to the right in anticipation of hooking around the tanks once they get setup as an anchor point at the corner of the village and E95.
  4. Part Three: My forces in the center and left flank are now trading 30mm cannon fire and ATGMs with the Russians hiding in the far tree line. I lose 1 BTR-4E and one others crew disembarks due to panicking while coming under fire. Despite this, my forces have destroyed an estimated 4-6 ENY APC/IFVs. My platoon of 4 BM-Oplot tanks continue to push down the E95 highway and pressure the ENY forces.
  5. The sound is there it's just that for a lot of the video I am zoomed way out in order to keep in eye on the battlefield. When I zoom in close you can here everything.
  6. Thanks! I am glad you like them. I know I am not the best or most tactical player out there but I do enjoy playing it and making videos about my poorly lead PixelTruppen!
  7. Part Two: First Blood! My forces are on the move and advance in formation. They get to the rise in the center of the map and my lead scout BTR-4E briefly exchanges fire with an ENY BMP3. My BTR-4E takes some "light" damage but in turn kills the ENY BMP3 with a Barrier ATGM.
  8. Since I received a great response to my CMBS: "Hold The Line!" series of videos I have decided to go ahead and do a play-through of the Ukrainian campaign! Each mission will be played WeGo/Elite and recorded live. I will try to make the videos no longer than 20 min so that they are easier to digest. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I will playing it! Any and all criticism is welcome so please don't be afraid to tell me what I have done wrong/right over the course of the campaign. This is the first mission of the Ukrainian campaign and as the Ukrainian commander I am tasked with going on the counter-offensive in order to find and destroy the 39th MRB Recon Battalion located in and around a small village south of Zalissya Ukraine. Intel believes that the ENY recon element is lightly armed and should pose no significant threat to the units at my disposal. This first video goes over the mission brief, my force setup, and my general plan of attack.
  9. I thought that you could take screenies with SP but it appears that Nvidia still has yet to implement it. If you have Fraps you can always run Fraps like normal but don't record with it so you do not get the resource hit that Fraps produces and just use it for screenies. I believe the issue is that CM is an OpenGL based title which for some technical reason is not really a "Fullscreen" title thus you need to enable SP for "Desktop Recording"
  10. I have. First enable Shadowplay to record "Desktop". Start CM, Alt-Tab back to desktop and press what ever key it is that you use to start recording. You should see the indication light/prompt that Shadowplay is now recording. Go back to CM and there you go. I have my Shadowplay settings set to "Manually Record".
  11. All the newer nvidia cards above the 6 series line are able to use Nvidia shadowplay. It is less resource intensive than traps and is able to save video and screenshots to different formats. I now use it for my YouTube videos and screenshots as it is leaps and bounds better than fraps IMO. The greatest advantage being that it is light on your cpu/gpu.
  12. Part Thirteen + AAR: The final video in the Combat Mission: Black Sea "Hold The Line!" series, plus a detailed AAR! With the arrival of our Ukrainian allies the beleaguered US forces manage to push the Soviet forces into surrendering and secure a "Major Victory" end of mission result. The cost in lives is too much for the Red Army to bear while the NATO forces sustain fairly light casualties given what they were up against.
  13. One other thing I notice Bil was that during night missions the US symbols for the vehicles is hard to read as the outline is black. Maybe switching it to white?
  14. Thanks again for your time and effort! Your mods are fantastic!
  15. Part Twelve: The battle continues as we try to reestablish a foothold on both flanks. I move the BM Oplot MBT over to the right flank and I plan on using him to force out any INF units that may still be holed up in the town south of Bridge Charlie 4.
  16. Bil great job, I just fired these up to test them out and I like what I have seen so far. If I did have to nitpick about something it would be that the US symbols are shown in circles vs the traditional rectangles. (See link below) Also the FOW icons need a little work but you already know/mentioned that! Other than that man great job and I can't wait to see it's final release. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_Military_Symbols_for_Land_Based_Systems#Unit_icons
  17. Part Eleven: Our Ukrainian allies are in place on both the left and right flank and we begin to counter assault the Russians. We do lose a Ukrainian BMP on the left flank but in turn we also destroy an ENY MBT and another APC across the river in the center of the map. Now that our reinforcements have arrived things are starting to look a lot better!
  18. Part Ten: During these next few turns not only are we reinforced by our Ukrainian allies but we manage to hold the line and repel the ENY advance. The Russians make a mad dash with 3 APCs on our right flank but 3rd SQD manages to kill one with a nice AT4 shot while our center LMTV heats up the barrel of his .50 while mowing down ENY ground troops. Our Sniper and FO team begin to take fire on our right flank and we quickly decide to relocate into both the woods and the building behind. Unfortunately for 1st SQD/B Team and his accompanying Engineer section, they make a valiant last stand before being quickly overrun by ENY troops. On the right flank another ENY APC gets danger close to our troops but 2nd SQD makes short work of it with a point blank AT4 kill right into the BTRs flank. The Ukrainians arrive just in time and I give them their marching orders getting them right into the fight. I move the a rifle squad and HQ unit with their respective BMP transports into the woods on the left flank which desperately needs bolstering. They get into position just in time to kill an ENY BTR dueling it out with our LMTV. I move the BM Oplot to the center of the map and he begins to engage ENY tanks across the river. The remaining Ukrainian BMP3 is ordered to advance to the right flank. I have to mention SGT Donahue (Sniper Section) as his superb discipline under fire saves many lives during this turn. He and his .50 cal sniper rifle manage to destroy/repel the ENY APC advance.
