DocMcJansen replied to Krilly's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy

Germans carrying rifles...
DocMcJansen replied to joshik72's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
well adjusting is a complete different story...it was of course allowed to use the right hand for proper adjusting...so if BFC will proclaim, that animation number 1,000,549 (nuts-scratchy) will be only an adjustment I perhaps will buy the game...at last I want a historical authentic WW2 simulation... so waiting for the word from BFC before preordering -

Germans carrying rifles...
DocMcJansen replied to joshik72's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Brilliant indeed! and for the "soldier scratching their nuts"-animation...I know from countless tv-documentation, books, secret documents of WW2, pictures and footage, that the german soldiers only used their left hand for the scratching... so no authentic game without left-hand-scratching! -
Rifle Grenades: Who used them and when?
DocMcJansen replied to Sequoia's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Hmmm sounds more like fiction to me, but I don't know...I know this particular scene well (one of the american soldiers gets wounded cause he runs into the building too early and gets hit by the mentioned frag)... all I know is, that the special ammunition you use to fire the grenade had such a kick (recoil) that most soldiers would put the rifle butt against the ground instead of pushing it against the shoulder... http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Datei:M1_Garand_rifgren-shooting_line.jpg&filetimestamp=20080411113511 and I don't think if the rifle grenade wouldn't went of if it hits the glas of the window.. -

On this page you can see the TO&E of the game: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=276&Itemid=460 when you scroll down you can see that the german K98 Schiessbecher (Grenade Launcher for rifle grenades) is already implemented..also you can see the M1 Garand M7 rifle grenade launcher is also in the game.. so...it is already there -
Playing - MoW Assault Squad, - Arma 2 I44 WW2 Mod Campaign (with the guys of www.forgottenhonour.com ...come by and have a look if you are into Arma 2 WW2) - trying to enjoy Il-2 CoD - ToW 2 Kursk aaaand of course lurking the forums and contribute mostly non-productive stuff... Jurpo? I bought IL-2 CoD and I am not a happy camper wait a few month...perhaps the bugs and the performance issues will get sorted out...the reviews are right...in the status quo the game is a disappointment -

How did you find out about Combat Mission?
DocMcJansen replied to ChrisND's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
I saw a small article in a german computer game magazine. Was curious about the mechanics of the WeGo system and gave the demo a try...I can't remember what year it was, but surely a loooong time ago... I instantly loved it! And I played COUNTLESS hours of QBs against my brother! I bought CMBB and CMAK as well. And sadly I bought CMSF too. Couldn't get warm with CMSF... My brother and I are REALLY looking forward to play CMBN! -
Problemo solved! Please do not ask me why, but the directx, that was installed with ToW 2, installed 2 weird new sound devices (Screaming Bee Audio and Sound2x Audio Cable). As I ran DxDiag I had 11 (!) sound sources! So I kicked those 2 new devices and what can I say? BOOOM! Ratatatatata! *smiles* (Yeah..I now can hear the sounds) @ utexgrad as I already wrote: yes I could hear the intro sounds
-
Hello! I've just bought ToW 2 and sadly I have no sound effects! no music, no firing sounds, no nothing! I can hear the sound of the intro (when the battlefront logo appears) and I hear the "clicks" when I well click on a button (like settings or battles of whatever), but as soon as the game starts all is quiet Never encountered sound problems with games at all. I even can't adjust the volume bar for the music (for all other sounds I can, however without any difference for not hearing anything). Anybody here has the same problem or any idea how to solve this? btw sorry for my english..isn't my mother tongue... thanks in advance DocMcJansen

Yep...you don't have to include it in QBs vs the Computer..but for gods sake vs a human being!!! kann ja nicht wahr sein..man leck' mich am ärmel..wie kann man das rauslassen?!? so bitter.. sorry for my german...I had to *G*

Couldn't say it better Exel!! Some things that made CM so great are lacking in CMSF...
-
Yes it is! I was shocked (well SHOCK force...ha ha...okay..bad joke) to see that I am not able to buy my own troops..can't understand it!! Please BFC give us a patch with this feature!
