  1. In that scenario, Battlefront would simply release a patch that would no longer require eLicense authentication. You would still have your game.
  2. I haven't completed that campaign myself, so I'm not certain. However, looking in the Ally mission folder, it looks as though there are a total of ten missions.
  3. One of the first things I commented on after trying the ToW demo, was the camera control. I found it a little funky at first, but after using it for a short while, I discovered it's actually quite intuitive. It helps that it's customizable too.
  4. Good stuff for those that have received their boxed copies of ToW. With any luck, I may receive mine before the end of summer. Ah yes, the ever predictable Canada Customs. The epitome of efficiency.
  5. Looks to be yes, but according to a post on IWNation by an Infinity Ward dev team member, that's almost all in-game footage.
  6. "I brought the wrong ammo again," is good too.
  7. Hi Miguel, There's a way to install ToW on a PC that doesn't have an internet connection, via copying some files over from a PC that is internet connected. Follow the steps within the eLicense control window. Although I haven't tried this myself, this process is most likely reversible so that you're able to unlicense that same install. Additional information is available here. Cheers, flintlock

  9. The editor is definitely a powerful tool. In the hands of a knowledgeable designer, it could be used to craft some quality work. Oh, and once the map editor is released, all the better.
  10. I don't know what threads you've been reading, but nobody here has been banned for expressing their opinion of not liking Theatre of War. Excellent. Thank you for your articulate and insightful view.
  11. What's wrong with the way it's being done? The alternative may have been for Battlefront to have announced a later release date, and artificially delayed the digital download version until the boxed copies were ready to be distributed. Personally I'm pleased they chose to make the download available as soon as it was ready. The title released on the 19th--most reasonable people appreciate it takes a little time to get the product shipped from the distribution centres. Battlefront have been diligent in keeping folks updated on the status of the physical retail box shipments. To me, that certainly seems like a company sincerely interested in keeping their customers happy. Alas, no matter what you do, some people will always find something to complain about.
  12. The link to the eLicense FAQ is here. Hopefully that will help answer any questions you may have.
  13. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! A hearty thank you to both Battlefront and 1C for the excellent support of ToW. I would have happily paid for this. Really looking forward to this add-on. Again, thank you.
  14. Great to see Battlefront.com and 1C partner together for a great contest like this! Kudos to both companies.
  15. Agreed, those 75mm guns are a godsend in that battle!
  16. Here's how I pulled it off (posted elsewhere): So playing on veteran level, I finally was able to hold back the German onslaught. I came into this battle with just 15 points to spare, so I had to get creative with my units. *** possible spoilers below *** </font> Default assets at my disposal - Squad (x2) (incl. 1x ATR) - 7TP (x2) - TKS MG (x2) - Bofors wz36 (x2)</font> With the above units, I was unable to hold back the German advance, never mind mount any form of counterattack (even considering my reinforcements). So with a mere 15 points to spare, I got rid of the two Bofors, one TKS MG and one 7TP light tank. With the extra points, I exchanged all that for two 75mm AT guns. </font> Updated assets - Squad (x2) (incl. 1x ATR) - 7TP (x1) - TKS MG (x1) - 75mm FGWz.1897 (x2)</font> I placed my most skilled and experienced men into the battle, substituting where feasible. The plan was to see if I could stave off the initial attack from the south without calling for mortar support, long enough for the reinforcements to arrive. I wanted to have all three mortar strikes available for the final German push from the west. It was critical that I kept the German infantry attacking from the south at bay, as my two AT gun crews would be exposed. To that end, I had the squads in the trenches hold position and placed the TKS MG to the SW behind some brush. The TKS didn't get to fire off a shot before being destroyed, but I still managed to successfully hold against the initial waves from the south. Once the attack from the south petered out and the push from the west started in earnest, I brought all remaining assets to bear. Luckily I still had both AT guns, and more importantly their qualified crews, available for defense. Once the dust settled, I had managed to pull off a decisive victory. Results: </font> Polish Casualties: 6 men 3 tanks</font></font> German Casualties: 92 men 14 tanks</font> In all, a very enjoyable battle! Note: If anyone would like, I can post a screenshot of my unit setup at the start of this battle.
  17. I play all my battles on the veteran difficulty, so that's definitely a challenging feat to pull off. The closest I've managed was during the 3rd and final battle of the Polish campaign; A Desperate Defense. I managed to eek out a win while losing only a single soldier. Axis casualties totaled 104 men and 14 tanks.
  18. Would be nice, but I don't believe there's been any mention of adding a mortar crew in an upcoming patch. If this ever happens, we'd likely see this added via an expansion.
