I can certainly appreciate that. Though if you have a newer Intel based Mac and can spare the real estate for a WinXP partition, Boot Camp works quite nicely.

Just a caveat for those entertaining this: doing so will void your warranty. Whether or not this is a consideration is a matter of personal opinion--just wanted to put it out there. While I've replaced stock fans on older video cards in the past, I've found the cooling solution on this card adequate for a mid-range graphics card (I'm not OC'ing it). That's not to suggest it couldn't be improved, just that it works well in my application.

I am, yes. I have everything maxed and it runs quite well on this low-end PC. I'm in the process of building a whole new system, though I can't see the performance improving drastically, as it's very smooth on this tired, low-end horse: AMD 64 3500+, 2GB DDR, 512MB version of an X1950 Pro, A8V Deluxe, X-Fi and WinXP Pro (SP2). A better question may be whether CM:SF is a true multithreaded application. A program can be only single-threaded, yet still support multi-core processors.

SSG's latest offering, Battlefront, is indeed an incredible wargame. Kudos to you for harnessing the willpower to stay away from it.

Do a quick search on this training mission, and you'll see many posts about this mission being bugged. One of the beta testers mentioned that apparently it wasn't supposed to ship this way, and suggested to simply bypass it altogether for now.

It's due to your current system specs. Unfortunately your system doesn't meet the minimum system requirements, let alone the recommended specs. Specifically, you should have a minimum of 1GB of memory. When playing the demo, I never experienced loading times longer than roughly 15 seconds. Unfortunately, infantry can't enter buildings--rubbled or otherwise. Perhaps during an earlier development cycle the designers had this feature on the drawing board.

There's no resupply option for tanks. Insofar as artillery accuracy is concerned, you select the general area for the strike, and that's where the barrage is concentrated.
