  1. Yeah, I suspect most people like to play a title without the background music, especially one like Theatre of War.
  2. /duplicate posts removed, sorry.
  3. Fair enough. I'm sure Battlefront, like any other conscientious business, appreciates constructive feedback. To keep things in perspective though, if the preorders were to be released well ahead of the the 19th, one would question the rationale behind publicizing a release date in the first place. My experience with preorders has been that you typically benefit by securing a popular title on release day, receive a little something extra (if only token) and perhaps save a little money in the process. With ToW, the preorder nets you a physical copy, allows you to download a digital copy while further discounting $10.00 from the retail price. Oh, and as an added perk; the digital download will open a day or so prior to the official release day! Seems like a decent deal from my angle. If it makes you feel any better, think of the official release day as the 26th instead of the 19th.
  4. After viewing the video again, I find that it seems as though ToW definitely has the potential to deliver a very immersive and visceral gaming experience. The preorder is complete, so now all that remains is a countdown to release day. [ April 14, 2007, 03:02 PM: Message edited by: flintlock ]
  5. Good thread! I have to agree, The World at War may likely be the best WWII documentary available. WWII In Color: The British Story, is also a good series which examines the British experience during the war via photography and film.
  6. The great videos, especially the last one; Sound and Fury, only serve to ratchet the anticipation up another notch. Definitely looks like Battlefront have a winner on their hands, and good for them!
  7. I believe it's employing an online registration/activation type scheme. Read this thread for additional info.
  8. It's pretty entertaining reading some of the disgruntled posts with respect to the preorder release timeline. I used to think my kindergarten aged nephew could act irritable and impatient, but a few posts within this forum put his behavior into perspective.
  9. Good video! I imagine this latest work may snare a few more preorder holdouts.
  10. ...because receiving it 24 hours later and paying approximately 22% more money is a much better deal? Good call.
  11. Indeed. Battlefront has produced some quality titles over the years, and ToW looks like it shall definitely continue that tradition.
