same thing (quick-to-judge) happened to a great WWII FPS release, Red Orchestra:Ostfront 1941-45. it was very different from most FPS shooters (read; more difficult and realistic), and it got showers of complaints from johnny-ADD and the twitch & jerk crowd. fast forward to a year after release, and it's still going strong. great modders, dedicated following. I see ToW in that light as well. it must be really tough to be a PC game designer these days. I mean, you get every twerp on the internetz, posting un-informed and ill-considered opinions as if they are worthy of even voicing them. airing their tedious pet peeves as if they really mean anything. it must be discouraging. :eek:

agreed. except that's not the nature of a lot people who post on forums like these. we need a filter for them.

top down-only view ruins that shiite fast. it's like playing with toy soldiers in my sandbox when I was a kid. not good enough.

I ordered mine with a VISA debit card. worked fine.

yeah, that Scenario Depot looks like the place to go. Just finding out about it now. I've been playing CMBB/CMAK for over a year now. Anyhow, never too late I guess! (EDIT: sorry to excavate an old thread, but heck, at least I used the search function! ).

top down view is awful. period.

i got it to work. i just disabled NIS and tried a fresh new off-line license request. it worked! Thanks. game is hawt!

I am enjoying it as well. some to learn in the begining with controls and all, but, it's a sweet game.

well, even with Norton disabled, neither the live license, nor the off-line one will work. sadness. :confused:

i was able to d/l it in about 10 minutes without issue.

the complainers are all the same people, with all the same old tired, irrelevant, and tedious pet peeves/complaints. the fact that someone is still here, complaining, dozens of posts later speaks more to the character and nature of the poster than anything else. :eek: check the names; it's the same set of people complaining about every tedious non-issue ever discussed here (e-license, pre-release dates, release dates, when this, and when that, blah blah blah.). Jeebus. it's a bunch of women at a coffee klatsch fer chrissakes.
