  2. I like number 2 and as for mine... 1) Spaceballs vs Oompaloompas 2) NATO vs Warsaw Pact(that would be really cool) 3) I think Russia and China going at it would be cool with some Korean action on the side(modern day of course). 4) And the American annexation of Canada so it can become our 80th state after we annex the rest of South America.

  4. For some reason the ninja guys remind me of the Hamas militiamen when I see them all decked out in their gear, anybody else think of this?
  5. I'd highly doubt it was reloading JonS as it probably should still be facing the enemy's position to point out any more hostiles even if it really was reloading. It fired small burst and when it turned aways from the fire, which didn't let up and ended up taking out both guys in the back of the vehicle, it seemed highly unnatural and very unrealistic. Here's a video (it's animated but very good nonetheless and a bit graphic)that shows the use of that gun in action: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=391_1178060828&p=1 and probably what that gun on the Stryker really should've been doing(imo).
  6. I saw this almost a month ago. They can't shoot their rifles for sh*t but the guy with the RPG hit the outpost and I hope no one was hurt and also that big explosion is kinda worrying as it seems close.
  7. I think it looks great! But I wish they did one on the Pacific as no really good shooters were made on it and I think that MoH's game wasn't very good at all. But I like this one and hope it surpasses CoD2 and is also released for the PC as a standalone version and not some console copy.
  8. The one thing I am really looking forward for the AI to do is by falling back after the initial ambush, attack, defensive position, etc.. and reform at another position still intact mostly and ready to fight. Also will ATG carrying infantry move slowly or at a quick pace with the rest of the unit and will they be able to target buildings, foxholes, etc.. as I have a helluva time with them in CMAK.
  9. WoooooW! Very nicely done David. Of my favorites of your mods so far. I'm still waiting for the October Fest Beer Stine Girl Pattern
  10. The expansion of the US from its beginnings(literally) to about the end of the Hawaiian monarch. That is a very good example of a population becoming soo big that literally spilled into the surrounding territories and caused numerous wars with other nations(the Indian Nations) and countries(Mexico is the best example).
  11. Wow that second video with the artillery bombarding the town was something that I have never seen before. I'm hoping that wasn't staged but that was really cool.
  12. You might be onto something there Earl
  13. That was my first thought too but I thought the body wasn't thick enough. BTW, what are those blocky things on the ground next to it?
  14. So where's the October Fest Beer Stine Girl Pattern? I'm still waiting. BTW, I like the pattern on this one, it's subtle. Very Nice
  15. Lmao, I did not know that. Know it makes sense that our tanks didn't really take any German tanks out for most of the war . What is this "October Fest Beer Stine Girl Pattern" you speak of?
  16. No offense or anything David, but that stripe on that second Panther pic, reminds of that thing that goes down across the contestants at the Miss America pageant. Nice Panthers btw.
  17. Hehe, this must be a new fad, as I have quite a thread on the extreme-gamer(the "new" SZO forums) forums with KG Jag.
  18. Wow very cool. Thanks for showing us this, I hadn't discovered it yet, thanks.
  19. Are you sure they were talking about the entire war including every side? or were they just talking about the Americans, the British, or somebody else? It would make sense in the fact that half of the war was fought in the "style" of World War One with the trenches, no-man's land, and the stalemate.
  20. I've read it and enjoyed it. I don't have depth of knowledge on Dunkirk to evaluate it against. The lack of even 2pdr AT guns was something I hadn't realised before. Not many formations had 2pdrs, some had the French 25mm At guns, and some had literally no AT weaponry at all, baring maybe some AT rifles. Just how a Brit formation was supposed to hold in the face of German armour without any At weaponry defies belief....evoked the terror the solider must have felt well. All the absolute chaos of war is conveyed in very frank accounts. Notwithstanding my recommendation, the author does have an annoying tendency to: 1. Over-analyse things and the possible reasons for them to beyond breaking point; 2. Do the same with what people should have done...x should have done this, and then possibly y could have done that, etc etc; and 3. Be more than a little unfair to the French. For example, he would rightly castigate the demoralised French rabble for their lack of fighting spirit but later, when Brit formations want to withdraw but firebrand French commanders are objecting, he will drag up all sorts of justifications for the sensible Brits doing so and in fact castigate the French commanders for being unrealistic and just plain mean; listing all sorts of factors the French commander "should have known" or should have taken into account eg that the Brit soldiers were very tired and had been in action for days, etc etc, as if this was any different for either side. It tickled my hypocrisy meter. He does redress it a little toward the end with his description of Alexander walking out on the French and leaving them well and truly shafted. As long as you can bear this in mind, and it doesn't happen too often, it's a good read and goes into exhaustive detail. Can be difficult to follow on the maps as the author will refer to placenames that aren't shown. Recommended, say 4 stars of 5. Maybe 3.5. </font>
  21. BTW since we are on the subject of books, has anyone read this one? Dunkirk: Fight to the Last Man http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0674024397/ref=olp_product_details/103-3583764-5175826?ie=UTF8&seller= Just stumbled upon this and wondered if any of you guys have read it or heard about it?
  22. Hehe makes sense. That's funny because nearly half of the links I got on google were from wargaming websites lol. Imagine if our community got together to create a site that was all history and facts about WWII! It would be somethin. Also your post about the 2nd SS makes alota sense because I found quite a few links about them and Luttich.
  23. I gotta ask ya JasonC. Do you pull this off the top of your head or do you have all your books, documents, etc... sitting on your desk? 'Cuz your info is really somethin(including all of your other threads). Kingfish, I found some brief info on Feldgrau and Axis History Fact Book, but they weren't much.BTW are there any good books on this offensive/battle?
  24. As KF points out, No Holding Back is excellent - see the reviews at Amazon.com, I put some detailed thoughts there, and at my website at www.canadiansoldiers.com (which for some reason is down right now, but a search for No Holding Back should find you the page once my site is up and running). No Holding Back has an appendix on the death of Wittman that was discussed on this forum - Mr. Reid actually registered at BFC and added his two cents to the topic also. </font>
