  1. Though, I don't think it can be argued, especially late war, that Hitler did not favor the SS more than the Heer.
  2. All I can say is...AWESOME JOB so far! I can't wait till its ready! You are doing a great job.
  3. "It is interesting that the SS had many more tanks than their Panzer Division counterparts." The SS was obviously favored, being an organization created by Hitler.
  4. Come on comrades. Can we not be good communists and end this squabble? Let us all get back to what we love, CMBB, and play a scenario where the heroic NKVD defend an anonymous collective farm, under direction from Stalin himself, from a horde of marauding fascists, who possibly intend to convert the farm into a private plot.
  5. He complements you for free?!?!?  I was almost certain he was being paid for saying such positive things.
  6. Well, you could certainly try upgrading your specs. But I think a number of people here would agree that playing that operation is just crazy, and shouldn't be done on any pc.
  7. Be warned, Prinz Eugen_2, I have followed Corvidae's last splendid AAR concerning the Russian Front, where he was defending near Kursk with his courageous Russian soldiers, and was victorious. I even saw him commandeer a flaming T-34 and ram it into the flank of a Tiger just after bailing out to saftey with a Chuck Norris roll.
  8. I have to agree with the He-111's. I don't think they were used for immediate front line precision CAS as so far portrayed in AAR's.
  9. Once they release it, I'm assuming it will become available...
  10. Ah, good work JT Fox in beating the orginal scenario. (I presume anyway) However, the scenario (all the 100 and 200 series actually), have a strange flaw in them. The map ownership for the sides is reversed, and thus the AI units face themselves the wrong way, and don't react until you are very close. When this problem is fixed, you will learn as most of us have, that 110 is impossible, because the MG opens up from turn 1 and simply routs squads 1 by 1. And btw, I have noted your comments about my poor ability in making AARs. My future ones will not be so dry.
  11. What??? Their cheese has bloody holes in it. But the best army throughout WWII would be Luxembourg, followed closely by Denmark and then the guys who worked at the Panama Canal coming third.
  12. Ah, thanks for the excellent abbreviation z-warfare. That makes it very easy to remember.
  13. What??? T-34's eat Shermans for breakfast. When a captured Panther shows up...then you'll feel like you've been given an uber tank
  14. I believe the tactical designation for such a defense is: Corvidae's forward/reverse slope super hybrid defense employing zero height units
  15. But on topic, I will play this scenario and let you know of my progress.
  16. Of course...who wouldn't like big things that hurl big explosive things at big other things and makes a big explosion, blowing those big things up into small things.
  17. But won't units that don't locate in the predefined entrenchments be at a disadvantage, since they won't be dug in?
  18. Once you've played enough and become competent in using proper tactics, you will trash the AI thoroughly everytime, unless they have uber armor. The AI is generally better on the defensive than the attack. However, on the defensive, in quick battles, it will buy strange force types, and setup its units poorly. (ie not using the trenches it bought) Also, when the AI has lost a flag, it will often launch reckless counterattacks that end in disaster. On the attack, the AI is notably worse. It loves to concentrate its units, which is good for armor but bad for infantry. It will only choose to advance down the seriously covered routes, and is thus predictable. Worse, it shoves all of its infantry down the route it chose, which makes its entire force vulerable to any HE chucker. When learning to play, the AI is challenging, if you're attacking. When you're defending, its always easy to defeat. However, once you become experienced, you will be able to consistenly trash it.
  19. Jeez, I bet those Prussian tourists wish they had mortar support to silence the Russian host's pesky 57mm AT gun.
