  1. Arrange them how you want, then select them all by holding down shift and issue one move order. [ July 29, 2007, 10:01 AM: Message edited by: JaguarUSF ]
  2. The green locations with the *** above them.
  3. Here are eight that I made that didn't make it into the game: http://home.comcast.net/~jaguarusf/James_Allen_Scenarios_of_Doom.zip
  4. The Dual Core Optimizer is at the top of the page here: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html Download the file. If it installs, then you don't have it. If it uninstalls, then you did have it
  5. Yeah, it looks like the dual core optimization uninstall is a temporary fix that allows you to play longer, but doesn't remove the problem entirely.
  6. Each IED has a scout unit that must remain alive in order to detonate it.
  7. This bug has been solved (I have almost the same exact system): Uninstall the Dual Core Optimizer by running the exe file again.
  8. If you run the exe file you used to install it, it will uninstall it. It is here at the top of the page.
  9. Whoever designed that scenario deserves a cookie! I think I put in too many anti-tank units for red, though. Hmmmm... [ July 28, 2007, 02:53 PM: Message edited by: JaguarUSF ]
  10. Well, you may get a lot of detailed info, but that doesn't mean your troops are.
  11. That's what "move" does. There's a reason you get an hour to complete a scenario!
  12. Ah yes. Assault is a good one, too. That will provide covering fire from half of your platoon. Well there is a tradeoff between speed and sighting. I think "storming" buildings is more akin to the "move" command. I know I wouldn't be moving through a building any faster than walking speed if I wasn't damn sure it was clear
  13. I played the first scenario (which I did and I can't remember the name of it ) as Red (who defends...and has some nice IEDs at their disposal) and I saw the Blue forces moving quite nicely. The included scenarios, in my opinion, just scratch the surface of what is possible with the scenario editor. I expect some awesome community-made content shortly. 14. Ohhhhhh...I thought you meant in Al Huqf. Yeah, in some scenarios, there are no additional orders beyond setup because the troops are meant to hold position and defend...that is their objective.
  15. Well that atiogl2.dll error is something I've never seen; the dual core fix was for a lockup with no accompaning error message.
  16. Are you using quick or fast commands? If so, your units will ignore enemy units and probably not even spot them. If you sprint through a doorway, are you going to engage who is on the other side immediately? Better options are the move or hunt commands.
  17. That's cool. I've found that bombing the crap out of them with your artillery before you even move is the best method.
  18. Order 2 is after Setup, which is technically Order 1 (you have to click on Setup to access it). I still don't know why the AI doesn't use the IFV They are dummies. Maybe the AI plans just need to be rewritten...there could be more paths taken through the city for more alternative plans. And it is a case of "poor" (or just not aggressive enough) scenario design, which thankfully is easy to fix (you can do it using the process mentioned earlier). Rumor has it the AI plans might get a reworking for a future update.
  19. Teleporting is a bug that is experienced by people with dual core processors; there is a fix for AMD Athlon 64 X2 processors (uninstalling the AMD Dual Core Optimizer). It's not something you want You are allowed to position your troops anywhere in the blue (or red, if you are Syria) area using the move commands.
  20. The AI plans might be set to "Assault" (which will crawl very slowly) instead of "Advance." If the AI isn't as aggressive as you are, just go into the editor and change their Orders from Assault to Advance or Quick. To fix, just go into the scenario editor, load the scenario in question, go to the AI drop-down menu, go to Plan 1 Blue, go to Order 2 (and subsequent Orders) and change it to Advance instead of Assault. Then do the same thing for Plan 1 Red and any other active Plans.
  21. I fixed it. The AI plans were set to "Assault" (which will crawl very slowly) instead of "Advance." Silly scenario designer...oh wait, that was me. Although I use "Advance" almost exclusively...maybe something got changed. In any event, just go into the scenario editor, load the scenario in question, go to the AI drop-down menu, go to Plan 1 Blue, go to Order 2 and change it to Advance instead of Assault. Then do the same thing for Plan 1 Red. That can go for any scenario. If the AI isn't as aggressive as you are, just go into the editor and change their Orders from Assault to Advance or Quick. 22. There aren't any standalone maps...even quick battle maps have AI plans.
  23. Here is my fix configuration I used to get the game to work without lockups and with both CPUs: The Microsoft hotfix is installed. The AMD drivers is installed. The AMD Dual Core Optimizer is NOT installed.
