Nice video. Like Warts I dont find it really surprising, but it is great to get a more detailed description of bocage.
This inspired me to do a bit of experimenting in the editor to see if it would be possible to create the different kinds of sunken roads/paths in the game. Unfortunately, I think we would need something in between the current options to get it just right. The current options seem to be a bit too much or too little: If you place a footpath between two rows of bocage ("Wide bocage" video), then I think the "road" becomes a bit too wide.
But if you place the two rows of bocage right next to each other ("narrow bocage" video), it is not possible to create a sunken road/path between them.
I use the great bocage and plant mods of @Lucky_Strike and @Falaise.

It would have been nice if houses in these games would get destroyed bit by bit more like in the game Theatre of War (or was it Faces of War?) and leave rubble on the streets. If they also sometimes could burn it would be nice to see that town slowly become a ruin after a whole lot of fighting.
Have you tried my Factory mod set? I contains a lot of damaged buildings mods.
In the Bitvagorod map that comes with the mod set there is also a grain elevator mod. I will post a picture of it later.

The grain elevator is large and there are no other buildings nearby.
A shortcut would be needed to remove walls in 1 click.
I will remove all the walls inside the grain elevator
This is very useful for large-scale warehouses.

Saw the first 10 minutes - and quit. Hated the rotoscoping and found the storytelling clumsy and unrealistic.

Finally, they are here - and man, were they worth they wait!
I´ve just downloaded and tested the mod set on a few of my own scenarios (because I know in detail what they are supposed to look like). And what a huge difference! Amazing and beautiful work. -
Hi Phil @kohlenklau
Just finished playing Kasserine Rearguard and had great fun.
Generally a very well constructed little battle. I really liked the briefing´s explanation for the composition of the forces - and the artillery reinforcement "easter egg" had me laugh out loud. Brilliant!
I won a total victory, so perhaps I´d placed my forces really well. If not, then the scenario is a bit too easy. Doesn´t matter too much for me either way - as I said, I had great fun. Thanks a lot for making a sharing it.
Cheers

In CMBN I once had a Panther knock out three Stuarts with one shot. It was very close range and they were nicely lined up on a road.

It is not for Fortress Italy?? Since this is the CMFI forum I assumed it was for both FI and FB.

Hey Umlaut. I noticed you previously had "Umlauts Snowy US Various" which included the Chaffee. They seem a little different. Is one the "desired/best version"?
This Chaffee is newer, so it should replace the one in "Umlauts Snowy US Various".
It is placed in the FB section, by the way:

I dont think I have many more original mods for CMFI. But I made a lot of snow mods that are primarily based on Aris´ work. These are Shermans, plus a lot of german vehicles. Find them on CMMODS III:

I have got most of them, but have probably just used BN mods in FI. I cant tell for sure, because I must admit that my mods are so mixed up that I am no longer able to tell which mods originally came from which game.

I´ve got all the WWII titles, but I find that I am playing BN and FI most of the time. As the others said, the great thing about FI are all the mid war hardware and different nations
And if you´re into mods, there are way more mods for FI than FB. -

Yes But do you think I am remembering things wrong?
I have no idea. I very rarely play quick battles. So just a joke

Perhaps they are on sale - now CM is on Steam?

I am pretty sure that Aris never made anything that comes near a "complete pack" of mods for FB. He made a few mods for FB, before he disappeared - but not many. And those he made should all be in Cmmods 3 or 4.
I have 2,4 GB of Aris mods in my FB mod folder, but most of those are his mods from other games that I am just using in FB. -

I like what you did with the umlaut there.
Hah! That wasnt even on purpose!

Ï am pretty sure that the reason there are no tank riders in CMFI and CMBN is, that Battlefront didn´t introduce tank riders until CMRT - and they dont want to go back and make tankriding a feature in games that have already been released.

Great work as usual, Nigel!
Hope that we are able to get our hands on these mods soon?

I think BFC should make a cool video like the one before GL release. On Steam, the first thing shown on a product page is usually a video and first impressions are really important. If it is immersive and appealing, maybe more people are prepared to learn the complexity of the game as they understand the nuances of gameplay.
Do you mean this one?

Back-in-the-day CM used to keep the hotkeys file in the data folder along with the BRZs. but they switched it to the documents 'User Data' folder. That location takes precedence, if you drop another hotkeys file into the old Data location the game will ignore it and use the one in 'User Data'
Yes, that seems to be the case. Thanks.
I am just happy that I managed to figure this out before I begin to patch all my other CM games.
I'm sure we've seen this. I found it fascinating

The footpath in the wide bocage has been dropped three levels in relation to the bocage.
