Yeah, me too. That is why I have created shortcuts on my desktop.

I only have blitzkrieg and italy and i am missing normandy is it someplace else?

As I understand it, Normandy is the only one of the CM titles where you are able to place the entire game directory some place other than the C drive.

Have all my game "data" files (and Normandy) on my F drive - and only the mandatory files from the other CM titles on the C drive - to avoid clogging up my C drive. Perhaps you did something similar when you installed CMBN?

Maybe they don't feel its a threat and are waiting for troops to eject and holding fire? What ever is shooting at the makr iv is so weak and far away ,I have never seen so many hits without a bailout some crew could be unconscious/dazed. maybe AI = Why waste a pait round if you know the tank is done for? Troops that are extremely fatigued can walk past stuff as well.

    Once again:
The issue is this: They dont even see the effing tank!

Did you just do a target arc or armor arc? I was able to break off a 2 man rifle AT team from a larger rifle squad, and was able to take out a hetzer based on a possible contact icon with 1 AT HEAT garand rifle grenade when I did a smaller armor arc for that anti armor team, I also moved them low and slow through the woods. If you use pausing and planning you can almost play right down to a first person level in tactics if you wanted to, the game allows for it.

I assume you are asking me?

They used an armor arc. But that is not really the issue here: The issue is that my PIAT team are able to walk right up to the tank - without ever seeing it.

  4. I usually say this when people say that CM games are expensive:

I have lots of games that have cost me 20 or 30 $ - and I have played them less than 10 hours. Then there´s CMBN. It costs far more, but it has given me thousands of hours of gameplay - and still does.  So when it comes to price per hour of gameplay, CMBN is by far the cheapest game I ever bought.

Like the others, I recommend you try the demos: If you like playing them, then you have found a game that you probably wont get tired of for a very long time.

This dust mod looks good, but wouldn't dust accumulate in recesses? At right angles... the Chafee has many of such nooks and crannies on the part above the tracks...

You are probably right. But if I should get into that kind of detail, the mods would take so long to create that I wouldnt bother making any at all.

These two Sikhs walk right up to a firing german tank - without ever noticing it!

If I had the team selected during the entire sequence, you wouldnt have been able to see the tank that is the centre of the discussion. Excactly because they dont see it!

I select the team in the end of the video to show that they still havent spotted the tank.

It is a PIAT team I sent out to engage the tank, so they could have done plenty - if they had only seen it.

  7. Got another mod ready - and as it might not be the last, I figured I might as well start a dedicated thread for my own mods.

This one is one of my new favorite vehicles in CMFI R2V: The Morris C9B SPAA.
A favorite to play with, that is - not to mod! It has been a real PITA to mod, because it has no large surfaces, but millions of little nooks and crannies. Luckily, modding is now over and I enjoy playing with my weathered Morris SPAA. Hope you will too.

As always I´ll share it via this Dropbox link - until it is available on CMMODS IV.

The Australians take the mickey out of how the NZers talk, and they're a hell of a lot closer than the South Africans.

Yes, yes. I am well aware of the differences, guys.
But I had to use voice files that were already available in CM - and would it have been better if had chosen UK English, American, Indian or Polish?

  9. I assume this is the first mission?

This worked for me: I found an avenue of approach where I could lead all my troops up to the railway embankment under cover of trees (a sort of right hook and then left hook - like a large S). When my forces reached the embankment at right edge of the map, I disembarked infantry and sent them across the railroad into the woods on the other side.

But first I had tried to guess where the AT-guns were hidden and then began the mission by shelling those positions. It turned out I had guessed right and taken out most of them. If you try to look at it from the opponent’s view there arent that many places you can place an AT-gun.

Great campaign by the way - but it doesnt get easier, I’m afraid.

PS: If you want the SA troops to have voices, I have made a mod that replaces the broken SA voices with NZ. I think you can find it in the mods and maps section.

    Hope this helped.
