  1. what i would like to see is hq interchangeability. often we are given section or platoon hq that don't have infantry attached. why can i not assign a couple of squads to these leutinants i have laying around doing nada? this would also be helpful if any plt hqs were ko, then there would be more options to have them regain effectivness.
  2. ca n a 3 inch mortar not be carried by a bren carrier? if so wouldn't this be preferable? i mean bren carriers are crap true, but those 50 odd bursts they carry can be useful for defending itself.
  3. hillarious. one quick question tho. i think i heard that cmx2 will NOT be put out on mac? if not, then shucks ill have to stick with cmx1. but they SHOULD do a mac version no matter what.

  5. this is kinda off topic but her goes. i am not the best armor tactician, but then again, neither is the AI. so how come no matter what kind of sneaky moves i pull, the AI is ALWAYS more accurate. i know tests have been done on this and it was discovered untrue, but how many times i have seen my crack tanks being outshot by regular/green. why can crack tanks not KO with 2 or 3 shots? and why can reg tanks do so at will?

  7. speaking of, if i am shooting at a tank among others on a ridgeline, is it possible for me to miss the tank im aiming at and hit another one instead? of course irl this would be possible but in cm?
  8. exactly what i was thinking andreas. in WWII, smgs had way more close range firepower than rifles. nowadays, no so sure. also when did it become a good idea to argue with jason c? he is a genius i take his words as truth until i find otherwise.
  9. i have one question that vexes me daily. anywhere u see ww2 light mortars (ie 60mm-50mm, etc) they are being fired indirtectly. of course in cm we can't do that. why why why why why. yes i know with proper use of a spotter they can be used effectivley in open terrain, but what about in bocage etc.
  10. well i went to unfortunately iwm, but it was friggin awesome! here were vehicles i have played with in CM and there the real deals are. pretty cool imo.

  12. i had one recently, i was getting off, no lie, two shots a turn. dunno how it happened, the crew was vet. at best. argh, it died in two turns anyway. ya'll vastly overhyped its anti-tank capability.

  15. there is at least one ambush based scenario at the depot (back wen i saw it a couple years ago), it was fun there might even be more.
  16. haha. i believe i read in the BO handbook that motorcycles weren't included because of the potential for abuse of the unit type. somethign about hundreds of cycles chaging positions i beleive.

  19. this doesn't really apply to anything posted before, but i have a problem with the C&C in the games. why can only co hqs or higher take over sqauds out of hq range? section hqs and weapon plt hqs should also be able to take over sqauds. this is especially needed for if an inf plt hq is knocked out, his sqauds wouldnt be out of C&C for the whole game, the men could be absorbed into the other plts. or maybe im dumb.
  20. yeah that's the only thing that irritates me about the game. if i am commanding two companies i give orders to EVERY sqaud and zook. IRL the CO would just give basic orders (move thru the village, get to the top of that hill, take those woods) as opposed to move this squad to that dip, move that mg to get covering fire over there, its so hard, but i love trying it
  21. just go to the info and check the speed of the projectile. the faster, the better, which is why tungsten is faster.
  22. i dont want more detailed control. im already overwhelmed as is. if there is a 1:1 man representation, i would hope it is able to be turned off.

Also, is the US required to follow geneva conventions even if their enemy does not? i am referring to armed medics, i mean japanese and VC both shot at medics, were they justified in carrying weapons for protection?

  25. yeah, i was going to say yank, have you ever played this one? i am too disgusted to play it again, but my attempts centered around first fire and maneuver, then wehn that failed i switched to rushing the guns. yay for me, i still lost all my tanks, just faster this time.
