  1. Well the thing is, how well ya feel about them after you seen them on the battlefield. In any event I hope you'll still find them useful.
  2. I appreciate the comments guys, I glad ya find them useful.
  3. Firstly I apologize for my tone in my earlier post, didn't intend to seem as harsh as it appears. It's nice to know that contact can be made with the people at that site, I've been meaning to play around with that stuff also for awhile now. I did covert the road gear earlier for some whitewashed KV's I made awhile back http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=23;t=010948;p=1 ,but thought better of posting to the public. I just downloaded your su152, you've done a hell of a job there, not only in the fit but getting the color to matchup. Thanks for your effort.

  5. Actually I just looked again at MikeyD's stugs and that road gear is in fact from my whitewashed versions of Heinz Babies grey PzIII's and I used that gear on my WW versions of MikeyD's stugIII, stuh42 and sig 33B. See for yourself from the screenies at cmmods. Below added in edit: To finish harken on this, maybe it's just me but I seem to see more then just a little similarity with the road gear pictured above and this road gear: ww pz3-m [ December 27, 2005, 02:19 PM: Message edited by: DEY ]
  6. Okay that could be, maybe it's off his stugIII-F's. It sorta looked a lot like my whitewashed versions on Heinz Babies grey PzIII's.
  7. Go for it, feel free to do whatever you want with my mods, they're made for you guys to do as you see fit.
  8. LOL, I thought this thread was directed at me only, but I see that isn't quite the case... at least I hope not. Unlike others here, I agree with every single point you stated. But then again what do I know.
  9. I'm not much of a tank expert let alone a grog on British AFV's, but I believe there was more or less two main tank class types in the British army during WW2. One was an INFANTRY TANK class type which desribes the Matilda's, Valentines and Churchill's. The second was the CRUISER TANK class that includes the Crusaders, Covenanter's, Centaurs, Cavaliers, and the Cromwells, Comets, even the Challenger. So you can see each one of these main class types had lighter to heavy sub classes. Below added in edit, It would seem at first that the CRUISER name designation started out in the late 1930's as a tank model with updated models designated with mark# as the germans done throughout the war. Then starting in the 40's the CRUISER name seemed to evolved into a tank class. http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/Quarters/1975/g_tnkuk.htm [ December 18, 2005, 07:32 PM: Message edited by: DEY ]
  10. Funny, it would appear this is another German AFV that has avoided being seen by me eyeballs. I can't for the life of me recall ever seeing anything of this little critter before. Or maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention. http://misc.kitreview.com/armourreviews/um349reviewrb_1.htm http://www.missing-lynx.com/gallery/german/cl140.htm http://wilk.wpk.p.lodz.pl/~whatfor/aufklarung_38t.htm http://www.lemaire.happyhost.org/char/complet/3386.html
  11. You could do that quite easy for the early model by just adding a 1 to the front of the number, but the late model will need a a lot more work, you will have to do a side by side comparison to renumber and also there is no grey colored skirts for it. Though you could just use a total pinked-out blank for the skirt bmps, this then would have the late model appear in game as skirtless.
  12. Tooz, I haven't as of yet, done anything with the yellow panzerIII's, other then MikeyD's new N model that is. It seems to me that this isn't the first time this ground has been covered. If you don't have the yellow based pzIII-M, early or late in some form of a winterized look, I'd suggest you use the versions in Gorden Molek's commos packs. The number sets are as follows, The PzIII-m early is numbered from 162260 - 162271 The PzIII-m late is numbered from 57260 - 57279 There are winterized marders in the assault guns and self-propelled guns cmmos packs also, over too cmhq. So the yellow tanks and AG packs are on this first page here, http://www.combatmission.com/cmmos/Winterfahrzeuge/Winterfahrzeuge1.htm
  13. Just to recap that a few of my so called mods have been redone and reposted lately. Winterized Soviet T34/85 model-43 Winterized Soviet T34-m43, OT43-m43 Winterized German Yellow FlakTracks, standalone quad 20mm and 37mm AA guns. I'm still not happy with this look, but I just got too burnt out fighting with it for now. Winterized German Grey Flaktracks, standalone quad 20mm and 37mm AA guns. I was sorta experimenting with a hasty applied, well worn look. I've kept version three up also. Plus I see UncleTgt has had a go at the grey version with his look, ya might what to check them out, if ya haven't already. I'm sorry about those whitewashed french tanks, frankly I'm not so sure they should've of been posted as they are. David, I'll see what I can do with those sometime in the near future.
  14. A few links that may be of some interest in this regard. http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=42954&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&sid=7ae9addfc88edac8f1c482658af5b0ab http://beute.narod.ru/Beutepanzer/su/su_trophy.htm http://www.tincrossmilitaria.com/Tincross%20Militaria%20-Armor%20Pix.htm Pre-war polish stuff, http://derela.republika.pl/armcarpl.htm Here is one for you, junk2drive, http://www.santacruzchronicles.com/scwveh.html I don't think there is any doubt that it may had be better if it came to either one or the other, it would have made more sense to had included a captured KV instead of the SU-85.
  15. For the the germans in cmbb, there is two base color schemes covering the early and late part of the war. For the early part of the war from june 1941 until february 1943 all armour and guns will be in a grey based color, then from march 1943 until the end of the war everything is in a yellow base color. What this really means is that there are two sets of bmps for most of the german AFV's and guns, one colored grey and one yellow, the trigger for which is loaded is the dates as noted above. So say the PzIV-F2, if you had a scenario with the date of december 1942, then the grey based (dunkelgrau) one would be used by the game engine, note that there is a winter slot for each grey and yellow color base also. Now if you changed the date to december 1943, then the yellow based (dunkelgelb) would be used. The terms early, med, late, etc usual regard the point of manufacture in the life of the entity specified.
  16. Yo dudenheimer, Does any of your many a winter mods ya installed show up at all. Are you using either one of the two mod managers, they can at times cause more headaches then their worth. Have you confirmed that the files are indeed in your BMP folder, or in the case of a Mac, where ever the BMP's are suppose to be located, being I don't use Mac's I have no idea what gives in that regard. You do understand that any BMP file dropped into your BMP folder has to be in number form only, ie: 5400.bmp. Anything in say this kind of form: 5400_sno.bmp, WON'T be recognized by the game engine and it'll be ignored. Though you do mentioned my mods which should work with no problem. If you have the ground condition set to anyone of the three snow conditions, and the bmps are in the proper number only form, then the winter BMP's should showup in the game. I would say you have somekind of mac specific problem happening here and as stated I don't use this type of computer, so I can't do too awful much to help in that regard. Files ending with .PSP are paint shop pro specific stuff and will not be recognized by the CM game engine, you can find several share-trialware graphic programs that can recognize these file types and load them up, where you kind save them in the bitmap form that the game engine is coded to recognize. I might suggest you post this over to the cmbb forum, we need a experienced mac user, one that is a modder would be even better.
  17. There is without doubt a winter slot for this AFV, something is screwed up with your install somewhere.
  18. I don't understand that statement at all, if ya have the bmp's numbered from 63260 to 63279 and set the ground for any of the snow ground conditions then you should see whatever artwork you've numbered in the 6**** range. Thanks for your effort, the Jagdtiger looks outstanding.
  19. I was just a bit curious if anybody has ever tried this version of this scenario I tweaked for human to human battle. There has been a fair amount of downloads, but nobody has had anything to say about it over to the proving grounds where it's at.
  20. Well now that we have all that squared away, welcome aboard. Another fairly common place to download battles and op's is at a place called the proving grounds, www.the-proving-grounds.com though these scenarios and OP's are in a beta state, the idea here is that you download and playtest them for the authors, then post some feedback on how things played out for ya, thats what the general idea is but it seems very few bother to post feedback, they just use the place to download stuff. You can also use the place to find opponents to play PBEM's and TCP battles against. Also the guy running this site is working on a whole new place for people to post finished scenarios and OP's for the general public. Lastly since ya been directed to Cmmods, I gather you see all those mods to vastly improve your visual appeal of the games, don't be shy about asking for any help in that regard.
  21. I don't know how well know this article is but for those few that may have not seen it before. http://historynet.com/wwii/blkursk/
  22. Well I guess maybe I should apologize for my tone, but everything about your post smelled like a spammer fishing for email addresses, lately they have been sneaking onto this site to a degree. Though I did wonder afterwards whether you meant that you have played all the battles and operations included with the games, but it's just that you say you've had BO for several years, but are just now posting on this site. It all just seemed a little suspect to me.
  23. Lets see now you say you've played all the Operations and Battles, and would really love to to use some of the Operations and Battles and then Operations available. WTF are you saying or asking here. And also since you have as far as you know played all the Operations that are around to infinity you would like to learn how to download and run Operations.  Maybe you could take another stab at that in say American or Canadian english so we can understand what the hell your trying to ask or comment on. If your a spammer fishing for an email address, I got a lot more suggestions for ya.
  24. Well I can only speak for myself J2D, but I have played more then just a few scenarios's that I had to replay more then couple of times, until, I got somekind of a handle on what was going on. Thanks for the playtest, maybe you'll give it another try or two in the future.
