  1. What a hoot this is, now I can get the snow-less, leafless hardwood trees in cmak all a sudden with the TEMP at cool or cold, snow or snowless ground, as in cmbb. And as stated leaf-less, snowy hardwood and snowy pine trees are there for me if the ground condition is one of the three snow conditions and the TEMP is set for at least frozen. So my cmak (BFC) version is working the very same as my cmbb (CDV) version in this regard.
  2. I just went through this stuff again and now with this BFC version if I set for either light or sno-deep snow, I do get snowy pine trees and leaf-less hardwood trees, as long as the temperature is set at either forzen or extreme cold. In cmbb you can get the leaf-less hardwood trees even if the temp is just cool, but no snowy softwood trees unless the conditions are set the same as cmak.
  3. Okay I see where ya are coming from now, it appears that either BTS stopped the engine from loading the winter BMP skins for any of the tree options, or this got broke in the last update. It just seems to be loading the summer skins for either the pines, woods or scattered trees. Thats going to be a real visual bummer for western europe winter battles. All the more reason to keep BO around I guess.
  4. You didn't know that all the trees in combat mission have been coated with teflon. "TeflonĀ® is best known for its slipperiness,."
  5. It is very simple thing to fix, isn't it. If you can't find scenarios made by other people that suite you, then make your own. Also this is a bloody game for christ sake, some of you people got to lighten up a bit, even more to the point I really think more then a few around here need to seek some professional help. It's a done deal, started and finished over sixty years ago.
  6. Well since my scenarios aren't of much interest, maybe I'll try doing somemore of my amateurish mods. I've been playing around with this whitewashed look for MikeyD's yellow PzIII's, and Andrew Foxes gelb modder Tiger. Hopefully I'll have all them done, sometime in the next few weeks. Though I intend on redoing the PzIV's also, and would just as soon upload everything around the same time, so maybe in a month or so.
  7. Just a quick notice to anyone interested, I did a slight rework of that camo'ed PzIV-J, made from MikeyD's artwork. I tried to darken it down a little so it doesn't appear quite so bright, especially in certain daylight conditions such as rainy weather. I also added a couple of side hull skirt options. Now you have a full skirt, or just the hanger minus any plates, or minus a few plates. Hope the mod is useful. Later, Dwayne
  8. I noticed now that a lot of my older mods have had the download counts all reset. So there is something mega screwed in that regard, though I do recall before, that almost every time I updated a mod the count would reset to a lower number. One has to wonder whether running that bloody windows 2003 has a little to do with things this time.
  9. unFair Weather Warriors is a battle, I don't make or even play operations. I don't recall there ever being such a beast made. Frankly I don't like infantry heavy battles, so that is why I added a couple of tanks for the Partisans.
  10. In CMBB the Sturmtigers are available, starting August/44. Also for anyone interested, ya can access Jagdtigers starting in July/44. Frankly as far as the editor goes, I can't recall ever seeing any problems or restrictions on units based on any of the main regions of Europe or the SU. Of course there is with the Finland region, but if you set for "All Combined", then you can make battles with Finnish units along side, say, Romanians, Hungarians etc. Plus have Germans with armor like KT's fighting along side Finnish Troops.
  11. Well what I was really thinking was that maybe something was wrong with them, that I may of been able to fix. Though as David stated there is quirky stuff that goes on over there sometimes with the download count. Likely a lot of code got broke when Todd moved over to MoneyShaft's Winblo's. Though I feel if something isn't being all that well received, then maybe it should be killed and dragged out to the backend of the place and buried in the woods. I know that something very likely like that, is going to happen with those whitewashed French tanks and that yellow flaktrack pack. I might try to see if I can do something, along the lines of fixes to those current versions. I just don't feel up to doing anymore new modding, not in the near future anyway. At the moment, I got the scenario making itch.
  12. I was just looking at the downloads of these mods, and I'm somewhat shocked at the pathetic download count. Are these mods really that bad, I may as well delete the damn things.
  13. I took a quick look, it appears Partisans are available starting in July/41 until July/44.
  14. Ah... incase someone might be interested and since this is on topic. I have updated and posted a Partisan scenario to TSDII. It's named "DEY-unFair Weather Warriors" ,it's made to be played as Human controlled Axis versus Computer controlled Allied. It's Partisans (with a few captured German AFV's) attacking German security forces. It has been changed quite alot from earlier versions. Also somewhat off topic, I've posted a reworked The King Has Arrived and it's been renamed to "DEY-Desperate Measures E1"
  15. Okay I've been posting some scenarios again, at TSDII. Don't blame me, blame lucero1148 and zmoney. Also lucero1148, that was nice of you to post a review of the Goulash battle, I appreciate it. I've posted a couple of reworked older scenario's so far plus a new one(Romania Attacks). I've just reposted an updated version of that Romania Attacks today, for some reason I'm having problems getting the editor to keep terrian height settings. The Panfilovic scenario is a winter battle, with sno-covered ground.
  16. Just don't do it..?! Not the above, it would seem!. Then I assume you mean the gun barrels. The bmp appears to be numbered the same in BB and AK for the AC. The barrel on the AC is that black strip on the left side of the bmp #107383 The texture barrel bmp for the HT seems to be done different for cmak, it appears to be shared with the lynx.. Which is numbered 3504. In cmbb the 250/9 seems to have it's own barrel bmp, for the gelb one it appears to be numbered 103504. Of course I could be wrong. Actually for the AC I think the above might be the MG, the 20mm gun barrel is likely #107384. [ March 20, 2006, 01:02 PM: Message edited by: DEY ]
  17. I'm not positive, but I believe the 65mm mountain howitzer is numbered the same in BB and Ak, and that is somewhere in the range of 12300 to around 12311.
  18. As I added above there is two different sets of BMP skins, one for the grey base color and one for the yellow base color. So you could very well have grey tigers in 44 if you wanted, just renumber the grey set to the yellow number set and copy and overwrite the yellow set. Or of course you could do that the other way around, have gelb camo'ed AFV's in 1942, actually I have done that with a few guns. Which brings me to something I forgot, this same thing happens with the GUNs also.
  19. For the Germans regarding AFV's as your very likely aware, they had two main base color schemes during the war up into the spring of (1943) everything was in a greyish base color. Staring in the spring of 43 they used a more yellowish base color. This is reflected in CMBB, the change over in the game is March 1943 I believe. There is a seperate hard-coded entity for both base colors. So a stugIII-F in 42 will be a different AFV then one after March 43. Also there seems to be a little confusion regarding the term early, mid and late reference in the naming of AFV's this states the point in time of the manufacture cycle of the entity, not a point in time period of the war. Added in edit: Actually I'm not sure if there is indeed two different hardcoded entities for grey and yellow, or if there is something set up in the coding to switch skins for each each base color. But there is indeed two different sets of skins, one grey color and the other yellow. [ March 10, 2006, 07:31 AM: Message edited by: DEY ]
  20. As far as I'm concerned there will never be any of my scenario's ever posted to that bloody site. Also as far as interest goes in my battles, your one of the minority. Some of my scenarios might be in those zip files over to cmmods, I really intended to update those and repost to the public, but I'll be goddamed if I'll bother now. If your interested I could try and go over a few in regards to updating and pack them in a zip and email them to ya sometime this spring.
  21. That appears to be the case for me also, those whitewashed StugIII-F's I uploaded after Todd got back up again are doing the same thing that is happening to David.
  22. Post deleted, due to being off topic. [ January 27, 2006, 08:30 AM: Message edited by: DEY ]
  23. Here is ATI's equivalent to the nVidia quadro line. http://www.atitech.com/products/workstation.html Good ole Matrox is still around but only makes specialized products now, what a shame. http://www.matrox.com/mga/workstation/3dws/products/home.cfm
  24. The QUADRO name is a product line of video chipsets made by NVIDIA. For the most part this technology is directed at the high end professional market, such as CAD, DCC, and the science-medical area, etc. http://www.nvidia.com/page/quadrofx_family.html When 3DFX went belly-up several years ago, they sold most of their technology patents and intellectual property to nVIDIA. It's no doubt that 3dfx technology has played a small part in all of nvidia video chipsets over the last several years.
  25. That BMP is shared by almost all the open fighting compartment AFV's, wheeled and tracked. Plus the shields of some guns. For the DunkelGelb (yellow) based stuff, the summer BMP number is 104000, winter # is 154000. For Grey based stuff, the summer # is 4000, winter # is 5400. There really isn't a whole hell of a lot you can do here because you may try something that will look okay for that wespe but looks stupid on the ostwind. You need to find something that you can live with for all the AFV's and the few guns that use it or you'll have to load a different BMP each time you use one of these entities that use this BMP.
