  1. At this point? I have no idea.... however, it should be remembered that CMSF uniform mods will not work with CMSF2 so, does it really matter? In the year 2020 (remember CMSF was released in 2007), I imagine you'll likely have to make any 2003 uniform mods yourself or find alternate placeholders.
  2. Amazing work... that North East sector has caught my attention (I was just thinking earlier today that I'd like a coastal map with some offlying Islands).
  3. I've been playing a lot of stuff by @Mr.X recently, so I suppose it was only natural that I used his "teaser battle" for the Zawiya Uprising campaign to trial out the latest version of the "ME soundscape "... ... of course, then I wondered what would a "proper" H&E conversion look like? So I played around with the map & came up with this... ... i'm fairly happy with it, it needs some tweaks, but i'll certainly end up adding this converted "teaser battle" to the single scenario content for 0.97. Earlier in the week, I also converted another scenario "In the Fields" although I'm not too sure who originally made this...
  4. IIRC it had most of the CMSF weapons/vehicles with it (certainly for the reds). Also IIRC, a combination of the two was the best option available for modding the UI of CMSF/CMSF2 (which is why I chose the combo as a base for the H&E UI). I have none of those early experiments left however the H&E silhouettes are, obviously, part of the 'Open Beta' & the vast majority of it should be applicable to base CMSF2.
  5. Nope, that's still the 0.96 skin for the m48a3. Technically there's nothing to test yet however all the hard work has already been done by others (for the People's Army campaign it was done by @Fredrock1957)... once the terrain has been altered & a few tags added all I need to do is slot in a few different forces, tweak a few things here & there, rewrite the breifing &, hey bingo, a "new" scenario is born. It's a poor mans method of creating content... but it seems to work out more often than it doesn't and my Mother always said "quantity has a quality all of its own".
  6. Only a few turns in & I'm enjoying it so far... I had a 'broken door' issue cost me a man but that's hardly your fault. Most tricky aspect will be how to present the AAR, I think I'll break the battle up into segments (The Canadians battle, The Commando's battle, the post link-up* battle etc)... I suspect this will take a while. I do like how I see bits & pieces of the ideas that would make Zawiya Uprising so great (the trickling in of reinforcements, your varied force mixtures, surprising enemy positions... oh & the mines!). *Assuming we do linkup.
  7. And the last map ('The Road') of the People's Army campaign... ... which means it's time to get back to the People's Militia campaign (IIRC I have about 11 maps good to go for that... however I need 15).
  8. There are a few model swaps here & there, many are tagged so that content creators can use them appropriately (the manual explains much), however I think it's the maps that are the true star of Heaven & Earth... ... and more, so many more, are to come.
  9. No invisible trenches. I did have a vague plan of looking at some animations eventually... the overly athletic obstacle jump animation would likely be top of the list to change... I might look into implementing that for 0.97 as it is kinda immersion breaking. Are there any side effects to this animation swap... or any video's of what it looks like in game (I once saw a video of WW2 forest fighting & there were lots of animation changes... but it's the only one I've ever seen featuring animation mods)?
  10. I've done five CMFI AAR's... the first three being of the "Advanced Tutorial" campaign. The last two (including the latest one) are from the "Welcome to Sicily" mini-campaign by @Mr.X.
  11. Odd, I haven't got to that mission myself but @Aquila-SmartWargames managed a "minor victory" & got to the next mission (and, indeed, has completed most of both campaigns). Looking at his post mission screen (in slow motion)... the enemy get their 20 point bonus & cause 19 points worth of damage to the Imperials, the point total was 39. The Imperials got 33/35 points for kills & the, de-facto bonus, of defending their base for 20 points.... 53 points in total. Did you perhaps empty your base of troops & lose the bonus... or just suffer heavier casualties (he suffered seven)?
  12. There's also the IvanZ edit which I used as a base for the H&E silhouettes... now that I think about it I'm pretty certain he hasn't been credited in the 0.96 manual. I'll have to remember to add that to the 0.97 manual... along with @IICptMillerII & @Jace11 (Modern US uniforms & BHCW Special Force Berets respectively).
  13. Amazing pics! @Hapless discovered that first Ikke scenario is a little iffy at the moment... just remember that I've designed that concept campaign so that a ceasefire will always advance you to the next mission.
  14. Two more map conversions... The "mountain retreat" scenario needed very little work...
  15. Playtesting for six scenario's in this thread. An 11 mission campaign in this thread. "Afghanistan Roulette" in this thread. The Heaven & Earth "Open beta" comes with two campaigns, over 40 scenarios in total. There's even an attempt at a conversion of the Consular Evacuation scenario... although I fear I've made it too easy.
  16. Make it a video AAR... your reshade profiles are simply stunning!
  17. I dragged myself away from CMFI long enough to finish off another map for the People's Army campaign... ... I think I have three more maps to go.
  18. Interesting that Invisible OpFor ammo dumps could be a bug & even now are not a feature of hotseat play. If it is a bug then I could get rid of the [cache] tag from H&E (which is our workaround... basically we make a vehicle, not invisible, but model swapped into an immobilized "ammo dump") which would mean adjusting one of @puje's scenarios. @IanL, @BFCElvis could it be that OpFor ammo dumps were never meant to be invisible? It does seem counterintuitive (especially as the AI doesn't use them).
  19. I flip between extremes of "Yes, of course" & "No, not a frigging chance". Another day, another map for "Major Nguyen's Brigade"...
  20. Oh dear lord no... that's just the current default* H&E background (borrowed from CMFI). The "moodier" clouds will be part of 0.97. *There are different backgrounds for mountainous highlands, flat paddy areas, coastal areas & war torn cities... activated by various tags.
  21. Oh I'm sure there will be enough differences to allow you to play both (certainly the H&E Conversion will not be centered around a crack company of Russian Airborne, in BMD-1's, fighting Mujahideen)...
  22. I will grant that the modern "right" (with its natural inclination towards "populism") has been psyoped to a significant extent (certainly in the US). However, I can come up with many, many examples of the modern "left" (with its natural inclination towards "elitism") also being succesfully psyoped (as mentioned, Michael Moore has just released a documentary about this). The current "crazy right-wingers deny the virus" narrative is arguably a psyop FOR "the left". I see a few, likely astroturfed, protests involving a few thousand people (btw, I notice no-one mentions the protests in New York City) & a few hundred bloggers & e-celebrities, of dubious worth, backed up by a number of "experts", especially from the notoriously "right-wing" institutions of Oxford & Stanford Universites. I'm pretty "right-wing" & I learnt about this virus, in January, because of other "right-wingers"... I don't see the tens/hundreds of millions of the 'silent majority' promoting this (blatantly schizophrenic) "blame the hoax virus on China" narrative. PS I remember "the left" from my youth... as far as I'm aware "the left" died a long time ago.
