  1. Which is a great confirmation that they are still planning on including the Dutch Army! Is the long hair thing really just with reservist so we wouldn't expect to have any in Syria?
  2. I hope sales stay strong. I'm loving the Brits and looking forward to the NATO module. After that is another (French) module for CMSF completely ruled out or can we at least get a "we're not sure yet, wait and see"?
  3. MARS, I'd like to know too, but Battlefront is careful about telling us things if they think it's too soon. If I may attempt too answer for them however... 1, They don't know for sure yet 2, You can expect all frontline vehicles and weapons for armored and armored infantry formations. Don't expect support vehicles and units. It most likely won't have airborne formations so, sad to say, the Wiesel is probably out. However if you are or recently were an Officer or NCO or in the Heer, they could probably use you as a beta tester. Then you'll know more than us.
  4. Welcome Shark. You'll find several weapons mods at the Repository here: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=select&id=27
  5. IIRC the Syrians have a 100mm Anti-tank gun though I can't find a source for that anymore. It's quite possible work on Anti-tank guns for the Normandy game will be far enough along to allow one in the NATO module along with a truck to go with it. It would be fun to get some more Uncon stuff like the Toyota SUV that will be in the Afghanistan game.
  6. So what types of Leos do the Canadians and Netherlands use since we'll see them in the game?
  7. That's a great idea. I hope they do it that way as I think there will only be one campaign in the initial release.
  8. My guess is the Germans are the front runners for the campaign, but it might well depend if sales of all Combat Mission games were better in Germany or Canada.
  9. I suppose they can give Canadian units improved spotting abilities, but I doubt they'll do it. More likely they'll leave it up to the scenario designer to give a better intelligence briefing at the beginning of the battle. The Canadians, like the Dutch, are getting into the game mostly because all or almost all of their vehicles will already have been done for the US/British/German forces. With 3 new armies in the new module , I don't think they'll be doing a lot of specialty work for the Canadians and Dutch. Steve will have his hands full working on the TO&E of the 3 armies.
  10. Actually the plan is to have the Dutch rather than the Danish.
  11. I'm curious about these two uniforms. I assume the one on the right is what a Heer soldier would wear in Germany. What is the one in on the left? What does the Heer in Afganistan wear? I assume that's what will be used in the game.
  12. Yes I think we'll get lots of WWII North Africa -but with technology 65 years more advanced- scenarios once the NATO module comes out. It's scary to think what Hitler would have done with nukes though.
  13. I botherered me a bit that some of the Canadians in CMAK had a bit of a Southern Drawl as they shared voices with the Americans. I haven't noticed any drawls in CMSF. Perhaps that was intentional as they most likey again share voice files. But yeah, even us Californians can tell the difference between someone raised in Texas and someone from Tennessee, but the degree that people move around these days tends to confuse things alot.
  14. Is that because rendering has gotten better in game or because of hardware improvements?
  15. The Strategy and Tactics Forum has some good stickied post that I think all those new to the game should read, even those familiar with earlier combat mision games.
  16. Maybe it's a 1.2 thing and US crews will do the same now. Only players with the Brit module have 1.2 so far and there probably hasn't been very much US play by them for comparison.
  17. So I'm thinking (a dangerous thing yes I know) that campaigns in WWII will have to be handeled differently than CMSF given the much heavier casualties one would expect especially in the initial battle (which I'm guessing will often be a breakthrough attempt). Possibly the player can expect to see significant replacement to his core units. What are your thoughts? Or should the main campaign be the race across France or an attempt to close the Falaise gap rather than the slogging through the hedgerows and breakout battles?
  18. Now you're just trying to get Alizee into the game aren't you?
  19. I'm one of those guys who prefer NOT to have civilians in a tactical wargame as I prefer to keep it clean, so Steve is not just making guys like me up. I realise it may be more realistic at times but I want to be "playing" a wargame not simulating everything a real war entails.
  20. It's a bug. See this thread: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=88037
  21. Who does/did use the Snatch 2 then? Is this a parallel to the M1117 thread in that only MPs (or whatever the British equivalent are called) use it?
  22. Is any one sure it made it into the final game? in the scenario forum we were talking about a few vehicle models that didn't make the final cut like the "Snatch 2" patrol vehicle.
