  1. Controls suck but this ones got potential! A nice little tidbit to tide me over while waiting for Tow.
  2. Was there stielgrantes for the 37mm Flak? I remember seeing it somewhere; it could have been on a Tamiya model I built years ago. Any one have any info?
  3. My sentiments exactly I hope CMx2 is a 'unified' CM encompasssing the whole european WW2 theater; '39-45, I think it would be a truely epic game. Maybe the next engine will spawn a trilogy; Europe, Pacific and Korea?? I think it would be a mistake to move the CM timeframe out of the WW2 era.
  4. I beleive NebelWerfers are already modelled in CM as an off map arty strike.
  5. Surrey, BC Canada- South of Vancouver 20 blocks from the US border
  6. My vote goes for the Hetzer, just imagine it with a F1 style wing!!
  7. Control-F5 doesn't work for me, oh well Im used to the wait, and CMMODs is worth it! Thanks ColumbusOhGamer for the great work, all the best.
  8. I have that problem 75 percent of the time, It seems completely random. Although sometimes i log in and it takes me right in and other times it goes straight to the menu screen, most of the times i log in and it stays at the login screen. I've found that if you leave that login window open and refresh the page a while later, is the only sure fire way to get in. btw when i first sighned up i tried for TWO DAYS before i actually got into CMMODs!! Ive writen to the webmaster twice, got no response. Maybe the website has a bandwidth cap??
  9. I had LOS as I just moved a infantry squad thru that area, they were taking MG and cannon fire so thats what probaly started the fire. Im sure that the Vodka stash also contributed! Maybe if it was set in modern day russia I wouldn't be surprised, due to pollution sometimes the snow falls black, pinkish or yellow!! Black Snow
  10. Thanks for the awesome work!! love em both, cant decide which one to use!!!
  11. There were no emeny infantry nearby, the tank had been knocked out for at least 5 turns before i noticed the fire. I was doubly surprised because i had never seen a road tile burn while playing CMAK, let alone a frozen one!
  12. Just got CMBB!! After D/ling mods for a couple hours, the first battle i played this happened. Is spilled fuel from a KOed tank modelled?
  13. I was playing a QB in a dust storm and my PzIII stumbled onto a pair of valentines, in the confusion of battle the lead Valentine and my Panzer drove right up to each other, to my surprise, my panzer changed targets at roughly 10 meters and engaged the second valentine, cursing my rotton luck i expected to be blown sky high at point balnk by the first Val, didn't happen, the panzer blew away the second Val and just sat there staring at the first, both had their turrets pointing at each other, next turn i ordered my panzer to engage the Val, nothing happened until some supporting infantry started lobbing grenade bundles at the val and it backed up and at about 15-20M was destroyed by the panzer. I figured that it was modelled that if AFVs are too close to each other they can not engage. i guess it makes scense if you have a panther ram a sherman there would be a problem traversing that long 75. but looking back, it seemed very strange as the PzIII had a short 50mm and they were within 5M for at least a minute and a half. I dont even know if this sort of thing is modelled or minimum range for that matter in CM ,but i have been rountinely surprised at the depth of detail in CM (I fliped when i saw that the Nahverteidigungswaffe was modelled!) are minimum ranges for AFVs modelled?
  14. No problem. I am absolutely blown away by your Valentines!! Amazing work, what afv are you going to grace with your art next?
  15. only two CMBB mods that Ive had problems transplanting to CMAK were the ambush hetzer and jagdpanzer.
  16. Damn fine work! thnx is there a legend available for bmp numbers? Ive been fooling around wih some mods and it would make my life ALOT easier.
  17. I tried to do rezip the files, loaded into Mcmmm went to preview bmp nothing showed up when i installed it and an error occured, can any one give me any pointer? Could the fact i only have an evalueation version of winZIP? Do i need to make a directory then zip it? Thanks and great looking mod Tanks!
  18. From what heard very good work, but I havn't heard them in game yet im having trouble getting them installed, cant get either the .rar or zip files to work with Mcmmm and theyre listed as 'info only' I dont want to just overwrite the files or manually back them up. any tips
  19. Just tested 4 50cal M2mgs on top floor of light buildings 2 Pz4s fairly close to buildings one buttoned. Buttoned tank knocked out and burning within 20secs, the 2nd lost commander and a crew member and was immobilized before being taken out near end of next turn.
  20. I believe there is a trusted mode with PBEM helper I havn't tried it yet, the helper makes things go ALOT faster, than manually managing and keeping track of the files.
  21. All or Nothing was my fav scenario in CMBO. I'd love to see that one re-tooled.
  22. Its no secret that in dresden and tokyo civilians were deliberately targeted to break the population, and Im not trying to make light of the horrible attrocities committed by both the axis powers or their violent expantionist policies. My grandfather was wounded and captured at dunkirk, the only reason he survived is he was repatreated in late '43. The the fact remains that the allies DID target civilians in strategic bombing despite what many people think. War isn't black and white trying to moralize something that happened over 50 years ago while nations were fighting for there lives just isn't worth it. i feel the facts speak for themselves. Peace DRESDEN '45 "It seems to me that the moment has come when the question of bombing of German cities simply for the sake of increasing the terror, should be reviewed. Otherwise we shall come into control of an utterly ruined land" Winston Churchill, memorandum to Air Marshall Arthur Harris (28th March 1945) That the bombing of Dresden was a great tragedy none can deny. It is not so much this or the other means of making war that is immoral or inhumane. What is immoral is war itself. Once full-scale war has broken out it can never be humanized or civilized, and if one side attempted to do so it would be most likely to be defeated. That to me is the lesson of Dresden. After the war Robert Saunby, Deputy Air Marshal at Bomber Command, commented on the bombing of Dresden.
  23. How many civilians were deliberatly killed in bombing attacks on germany/japanese cities? Not trying to diminish the brutality of the axis. Just saying the allies didn't exactly have clean hands, but war is war...
