  1. huurrrumph, i dont have one or a dog. my cat however loves to use the keyboard and watch the action with the back of his head, while staring into my nose.
  2. yep, pics at my site, sb east of elba. the game uses torso bmps for all body parts. i think italian airborne did not exsist late war, but hans uses them in his fictional battles.
  3. any armor grogs know the color of usmc equipment in the pto? b&w photos look darker then olive green. the cmbo pacific mods are almost brown. some color footage i've seen looks like they are dark for beach landing,(camo against the ocean?)like the cmbo mods.
  4. not a grog but i think you are correct, heer mods do the basic german soldier. andrew fox's are good looking and trouble free. but see your other question about variations of uniforms. use McMMM.
  5. assuming you are talking about someones mod, the modder usually adds letters to the name (extentions) of the bmp. or the file name will be different. open the zip and look at the contents. McMMM will separate these versions for you and you can choose which version you want. providing that the armor is available in the time and place of battle. on to your next q
  6. ?? the manual for the game in pdf is on the cd, loaded to your drive when you install the game. for windows, go to start, programs, battlefront, etc. books in pdf would lead to "filesharing" (stealing) imho
  7. yes you are being too touchy. this is a good read on a saturday morning. i could care less if the kurds are segregated from the sunnis. i got what you meant m.d.
  8. how would you guys compare a large setup in cm to board games and turn based hex computer games like steel panthers? i cringe at battles with large groups all mixed together in a lump. but i'm starting to remember how many hours i've spent setting up other games. maybe part of the fun?
  9. captain wacky's is my favorite for cmbb, and comes with a freeware converter that works well for me. but you have to read the instrcutions.
  10. lol, i would expect it if i was trying to get across a long river to win. and this battle is 35+ minutes seriously, i thought not, but would hate to march 1km up the map for nothing. better to ask than wonder why your engineers are just sitting there.
  11. rtfm, 5 searches, i think not, but can blown bridges be repaired?
  12. they are working on the aussie things to make money to do cmx2, add one year to eta.
  13. in the meantime you are missing out on some great gameplay. buy the bundle, learn the game, and wait for the next generation.
  14. i play the a.i. for a draw or minor victory. a major vic means it was too easy. if i see a major defeat coming, i restart. a loss can teach and improve.
  15. go to work, open ms word, make nice sign for closeout item in color. = free having subordinate look over your shoulder and say "and where are you going to print that in color?" = priceless
  16. take the game cd to work, load on your work computer, use the company black and white printer. no hassle, low cost.
  17. eichenbaum, in some ways large scens are rl, in that i dont think front line troops would get resupplied in cm timeframe. reinf would come up to take the line forward, leaving the unsupplied, tired troops to hold vl's. thats what i do. just my opinion.
  18. same game, no factory, new sandbags. love or hate desert. modable to anywhere. what allied country do you want to play? best $40 i've spent in a while. better than slot machines.
  19. i have a duron 1.2 and ati 7000 64mb ddr, 512 ram, wd 80g 7200rpm 8 cache. 800x640. game runs fine. only jerkyness is when a lot of craters on map.
  20. i just had a T30 hmc chase an enemy into a building. the t30 went in one side at an angle and stopped at the other side wall. the enemy kept running. it fired three times before the building exploded. then it fired at the routed running troops. didnt even faze the crew.
  21. the tan camo is from the cmbo pac mod. i havent played with the color yet. the helmet cover is made from a sample of camo cloth and is correct color. i have made some green camo from photos of reinactor supplies, but they are too light. best i can gather, tan was pre war, sage green was given to 1942 recruits, then tan camo. olive green unis and green camo were late 44. the airborne jumpsuit is battleship grey from the photo. have you seen my start menu icons with the 11th ab icon?
