  1. let us know what works. i'd be afraid that at too close a range they would be worried about blowing themselves up in the attack. i think maybe a move to contact command if the tank is not moving.
  2. never heard of this, but what do i know. did you upgrade to xp or are you installing on a new computer? if an upgrade, you may have to uninstall and reinstall. if you have lots of mods and downloaded stuff, you could move your bmp and scenario folders somewhere safe first. same with any saved games or pbem. then copy the folders over the new install folders. or wait for a better answer.
  3. "Kokoda wouldn't be something you could model with CM." imho, you cannot model large scale ops, but portions of an action can be. pick a piece of the kokoda story or milne bay, and you can make a good battle from it.
  4. i've uploaded 8mb of palms, brush, grass, rocks, tea bushes to replace grapevines, grassy wheat, lava wall, driftwood fence and map editor. big thanks to miket, japanzer and all others for the pacific mod. this mod keeps things green in winter. (without snow in parameters) treebases and brushbases you are on your own. suggestions at my site.
  5. my wife usually laughs at me. if you have a pc, with the shot on screen, hit the print screen button on the top right of your keyboard. minimize the game. open ms paint. hit control v then from file, save as...
  6. sorry for being vague, cmhq should have some tips in the cmmos section. i have the cdv se version that came with 4.03 and instructions. i can email it to you if you need it. miket is your best help
  7. both mentioned battles have newer versions, hans moved the ships closer to the islands, fred fixed a problem with exiting and the boats. btw both play well as pto

  9. thanks for the answer pat, thats why i like wicky and alexoscar's snow dusted afvs. my feeling is that if you are out in the field of battle and it starts to snow, you are not going to have whitewash.

  12. I've uploaded the SNLF mod versions of Italian Carro Armato M11 M13 M14 at CMMODS. Thanks to the Pacific Mod Group and Miket, Japanzer. Dont forget your Boys rifle when hunting.

  14. yes, go to cmmods, cmbo, search by designer, miket, all, other, get the cmmos and the rulesets. you can upgrade 4.03 with this. install all the rulesets. then get the cmak. if you are asking if there is a 4.05 for cmbb, no

  16. harry, i've never seen one of those sp scens. hans and fred have done some of my favorite battles, and it is hell not to peek at the pages hans instructs not to. try fred's angel of sicily. or hans' small battles, east of elba. to win either you must follow the briefings. a.i. doesnt have to work as hard with these methods.

  19. if you like to read, go to www.tarawaontheweb.org and check the stories from tankers on both sides, slugging it out on a beach similar to cmak desert warfare. especially the japanese tanker who had to pull back from an offensive position to act as the eyes of hq command, only to have clutch and engine problems under marine fire....
  20. only caution is 11001 is for 800x600 and 11002 is 1024x768 players. 11003 is the bfc logo that can be customised also. ms word can be used to make custom titles to copy and paste in ms paint. my pto 11003 has a cm logo on top, a red over white "pacific front" at bottom and a color painting of a dogfight over henderson field. add to that the theme song from baa baa black sheep tv show.
  21. try my method of pasting, in ms paint, the cmbb sky over a cmak sky. the trees dont get so big. however i play 800x600 so i dont see the top of the sky from ground level. is this different in 1024x768? another thought on buildings. you dont need normandy coastal buildings with snow on them. the allies were not there by winter. and cmak uses the same southern italy buildings for winter northern italy.   22. madmatt, as i wrote, if from above or main page, you click products, cmak, websites, you get the cmbb list, most of which are defunct. i try to point forum newbies to the resources link above. it still shows cmbo and cmbb weblinks, but no cmak. not that things have changed much, but a newcomer may be confused.
