  1. There are 4 aircrafts availabe in the whole operation. This would certainly be a loss of 100%. It looks like those Russian AA guns were very effective I think you have lost 3 aircrafts. The AAR of battle 4 has given the final result. [ December 08, 2003, 06:31 PM: Message edited by: eichenbaum ]
  2. Thanks Schrullenhaft. It's indeed the Quadro FX. 3d design (3ds max) is even more important to me then 3d games. The 53.03 drivers (forceware) ? Mmmm... I certainly can try those... if they won't work then I can always go back, thanks to Detonator RIP from Guru3d Maybe I get some more improvements in the performance. Nils
  3. Did you try to remove the remains of uninstalled drivers with Detonator R.I.P. from http://www.guru3d.com before reinstalling ? Nils
  4. Text display problems with the nVidia Quadro FX500 Just got this new graphic card from nVidia, the FX500. This card is really hot, the graphics in CM run very smooth and the fog is absolutely magnificent. I couldn’t find any layers in the fog, even on the edge of the map the fog has a very natural look. Also is the alias on objects such as buildings and vehicles completely gone. But the text in CMBB doesn't look the same anymore : White text is now blue The blue landmarks are now green And the briefings background (a very ugly) light blue. I have installed the nVidia 52.16 drivers and deleted the CM prefs file several times with no effect. It's not the end of the world but I just wanted to let you know. BFC shouldn't use their precious time with supporting graphic cards for workstations Nils (edit : changed the title - added 'Quadro') [ December 11, 2003, 03:55 PM: Message edited by: eichenbaum ]
  5. Something like this ? Sorry it isn't available yet. Comming soon !
  6. Tom, mmmm... that explains a lot. I was curious about that. I had the link placed on my website for some time. If you site is updated, please let us know so can make that link active again : http://www.eichenbaum.org/links.html Your site is too good to just let it slip away ! Nils
  7. Hééé Remko, bedankt voor je berichtje ! We'll not be able to release it with X-mas That's too litle time to get the interface done. There're still some (important) components in development. Nils
  8. That question could have been asked by the Axis forces once they moved into the south of the Crimea. The maps are made 1 on 1, including the calculation of height and terrain. Although the height differences (rings) would have been greater then possible in Combat Mission, the terrain stays impassable for most vehicles. If you're moving through the mountains, East of Sevastopol, you can't go anywhere with your tanks in most times then on the roads or a mountain pass. There are 3 main fronts in Operation Storfang: North: The operation starts with the attack of the Northern army. (German, supported with tanks, very heavy artillery like Dora) starting on flat terrain (Belbek valley) moving into hilly terrain after the crossing of the Belbek River. South: Starts equally with the Northern attack. (Romanian, mostly mountain corps supported with heavy mountain artillery). The terrain is mostly mountainous until they have reached Balaklava where it becomes hilly. East: Starts advancing after the Northern front captured Sevastopol-North and the Southern front took Balaklava. (German mountain corps with heavy artillery support). They have to cross the Belbek river on several places and then move to mountainous terrain towards the Charnaya valley. In Eichenbaum's Operation Storfang you'll encounter the same problems as in the real battle of 1942 like Rivers, Forests, Antitank ditches, Mountains and very heavy fortified positions. The maps we're working with show everything. Once you've said "it's like flying with a GPS system" ... well, it's just like that ! Nils
  9. This will be very diferent for everyone. Depending on the map size, amount of units, the type of gameplay and if you're the offender or defender. Especially the gameplay is important. I know I have been playing PBEM with huge maps where a turn could take 2 hours. It's the highly detailed planning and analyzing the flow of the battle that will take that long. Some might find that to gamey, but you can see it like a chess game.... time is needed... or nights thinking about it....
  10. Yes it will be something like that. Some parameters will be tracked like the amount of needed reinforcements, requested artillery & airsupport and if you achieved the objectives (acces codes). Also will the outcome be influenced by the movements on an operational map, if you attack one village first and then capture a bridge nearby for example. 12. Trommelfeuer wrote a nice AAR with screenshots of mission Swartzekätze (A1) on our forums. <marquee>Warning : Spoiler Alert!</marquee> Thanks Sven ! [ November 29, 2003, 12:41 PM: Message edited by: eichenbaum ]
  13. Thanks Murray. Let's hope it will turn out this way. CMAK decreased the pressure on Storfang a bit. I was having some health problems with all that working lately. (RSI) I'll continue with the development. The 1st missions will be hand over to the scenario testers in a week or so. Nils
  14. Anti Alias is off and still I'm seeying text as blocks. I have installed (and need) the latest nVidia drivers. Is there any solution to this problem ? Regards, Nils
  15. Thanks Ken ! Really hope that in a few months some still want to stay with CMBB and start the fight in the Crimea. Already it's getting very quiet here on the CMBB forums
  16. Nou... helaas gaat de Duitse artillerie in CMBB maar tot een kaliber van 240mm . De 80cm van Dora zullen we helaas dus niet gaan zien Veel plezier met de operatie Nils
  17. Artillery section of the 11th Army near the Belbek river, NE of Sevastopol. (Commanded by Generaloberst Eugen Ritter von Schobert)
  18. Hey it's the closest without going over right? What do I win what do I win????? I hope it's not a free copy of CMAK cause I just preordered. </font>
  19. CMAK demo is out... CMAK pre-order available... Let's see how many soldiers still want to fight on the Eastern front. Let's seperate the boys from the men... !!! (must say I'll try the Demo first )
