Civilization II as did Civnet and CivII PTW has this feature in it, it is called simultanious Move. It would be a nice option for those who want a faster game but i would ONLY make it an option as the problem arises when he who moves the pieces faster gets to react to moves better for instance if i move an army into a clear hex then goto a diffenet part of the map to place a unit. My opponent sees the moved army moves his entire line around it and when the turn ends quickly selects all those same units and gets a second move thereby destroying my army with no reprecussions. Sim move is for fast fun games but cannot be accounted as Strategic by any stretch of the imagination and would destroy this game in my opinion.

I don't want to constantly see Terif/Zap matches and not get a game in. I would also like the reverse to be true All Challengers must play not rated's at least once a week or lose challenger status. Thereby stopping challengers from "Dodging" games so as too keep thier status. The one exception to this i would stipulate is if the Challenger has not had a shot at the title yet. O and a recommendation on the PBEM issue. Why not let people PBEM but once they get into the Challenger or higher bracket they must play tcpip to keep the speed up.

It looks like The rankings can be based on Zaps thread. It seems to be panning out with no issues. But as soon as the site is up and a more "profesional" method is available i'm sure most of use will play this ladder. Well i did a search for the old Civ2 2 ladders i used to play but it looks like they have all disapperaed must be cause civIII is out. Shame CivIII PTW sucks.

I suggest the WInner report i have played many tournaments in my day and i have run a large percentage of them and many times the loser forgets to post thier losses But never have i seen a winner forget OK I see no incentive here to play anyone that is ranked lower than you as you cannot gain and you may lose ranking. Or am i missing something?

Yeah that's another reason i don't delve too deeply into the "Politics" of the time The barbarism appalls me. I love a strategic "GAME" but would never move a piece if Actual innocent lives were the cost.

WOW Massive Multiplayer game where the Major powers can be individually played or multiple powers by one individual. That would kick ass haveing to coordinate attacks with your allies. Course who wants to get stuck with france lol
