  1. Looks great, rtdood. Thank you for all your work and time!
  2. Falaise, I've said it before and I will say it again. You're an artist! I love that church.
  3. Thank you, Probus. I've ordered the MP44 book. Hefty price, but a must have for me.
  4. Very interesting, Probus. Any idea where the book on the assault platoon can be ordered or dl-ed?
  5. I used to order most of my books at Amazon uk, but after Brexit I have to pay customs, which makes it much less attractive.
  6. After giving it some more thought I must admit that you're right. My comment was too harsh. I offer you my apologies for jumping to a conclusion. Having said that I'm waiting for a reprint of your book for a reasonable price (it's now almost 50 Euros on Amazon Germany), so I can give some well-informed comment on it. The subject is quite interesting.
  7. That reminds me the Six Nations tournament is approaching again!
  8. Btw, Rinaldi, I've tried to recreate your Feierabend AAR, but for me Gnojau remains a death trap for the Red team. Tried it several times and although I managed to score a victory the Red team is always doomed. But again, superb AAR. Really enjoyed that.
  9. Just a minor argument between dbsapp and me. Nothing personal, just living in different worlds. And I made him laugh. That's always good. So nothing dramatic and no insults that prevent this thread from continuing.
  10. i agree. The Cold War wasn't some silly game, but a real threat. It cost billions and billions and many lifes, caused unspeakable misery and damage and the only reason why the Soviets didn't attack was that it would cost them more than they could pay. We in the West should learn more lessons from it, instead of neglecting our military once again and leave the initiative to an evil and merciless enemy, who never brought anything else than bad news. I can't find the Storr's book for a normal price, but his conclusion that the Red Army never was a realistic threat also doesn't convince me to pay the price asked for it.
  11. I also very much would like to see a winter module, so we can make up our own storyline. The Winter mod for CMRT by Kohlenklau and Kevin is for me still the mother of all mods. And even compared to FR it still looks superb.
  12. It wasn't a bad try, that I must admit. Waiting for FR was agony because I'm an Ostfronter, for all other goodies I'm happy to wait. Just curious about which countries will be in the NATO module. But I understand it's still early days.
  13. Unfortunately we had no women in the army in my time. I admire female soldiers though. It's much harder on them. Not sure whether they should serve at the front, but perhaps I'm old fashioned. Well, I am.
  14. Well, the period of long haired dutch soldiers (the seventies) didn't last long. When I served in the eighties there was little difference anymore with German or British soldiers. Personally I prefered very short hair since it was more hygienic. Most guys in my outfit followed my example.
  15. I have two volumes on Muhlenkamp himself too. Very informative. Standartenfuhrer Johannes Muhlenkamp, Kommander Des SS Panzerregiments 5 "Wiking" Und Seine Manner; Teil 1 & 2 (Volume 1 & 2)
  16. Indeed. It's also the only module that makes sense, so I don't get the secrecy. The Brits and Germans are a must. The dutch for me personally too and one of the largest forces actually 'at the front'. The French, Danish, Belgians and Canadians are also candidates. Hopefully they will all be in. How many countries does the NATO module for CMSF contain?
  17. Don't forget to read "From the Realm of a Dying Sun, Volume 1: IV. SS-Panzerkorps and the Battles for Warsaw, July-November 1944" by Douglas E. Nash. HIGHLY recommended.
  18. I don't think it has been officially confirmed, but a NATO module is pretty certain. Personally I think it will be upon us quite soon, because there's a seperate team working on it and they've already shown they're fast. As always Steve is a bit of a tease when it comes to the news we're really waiting for, but we should let him have his fun. All will be well
  19. I know what you mean. It's like your favorite actor suddenly announces that he likes to wear a dress at home. You know it's modern and entirely hus business, but you can never look the same at him again.
