  1. I made a quick test with a 72 vs a 75 at 2km away in flat terrain,and the 75 variant won 4 out of 5.It seems the game makes a difference ...
  2. Actually is there any difference between, let's say T72M1v(2001) and T72M1V TURMS-T? I mean,is the TURMS-T fire control simulated to give it an advantage over the previous version of T72,because I saw both have the same weight, defensive values, mobility and equipment? The same with T62-1972 and T62-1975...?The defensive and mobility values are the same, and the only difference I noted was the equipment: the 1975 version got "targeting" while the 1972 version was given a ''Gyrostab".Does it mean that the first is better at target taking? Thanks in advance!
  3. whether it's not in the manual or just I don't get it,I don't know. But I don't really understand what kind of difference in between light, medium and heavy airsupport(antitank) element.Or,in the same class of mission the difference between f15,f16,kiowa and apache.Does f16 carry more ammo than f15,or has apache better detection tools than the kiowa.....?
  4. Oh,I thought the Marines came with some onmap artillery...but now I see another reason to wait for the WW2 game...
  5. well,I just got some interesting opinions here and declare myself satisfied with them, but still...a CMx2:ww2 would have been nice, wouldn't it???
  6. my fear is that the ww2 title will come after the British module. btw,why does Battlefront have to make 2 modern modules ,making it 3 with the first title, while the ww2 addicted cannot enjoy ONE single title with the new engine?
  7. Hmmm... it seems I need some better art skills...I guess I'll use the Chechen mod, thanks!
  8. is there any way to take off the muffler from the fighters(combatants) faces,or has a mod been done for this feature?I would like to have them naked headed or eventually put instead a regular army helmet. Thanks!
  9. Let go the water,it can(more or less)be simulated by the marsh. But what about snow...? And I'm especcialy interested in CM:Normandy;will it have snow?(you know,in october it's not unlikely to snow). PS:and will "Normandy" get AA assets able to down airplanes like in CMBB? Thanks!
  10. Arnem, but how are you thinking to translate the air support from HOI into the CMBB,knowing that using the airforce in CMBB is much more noxious for friendly than for the enemy? I have two approaches: -Firstly a 50-turns battle with the whole airforce's friendly ground army coming in the 20th turn as reinforcements in order not to be smashed by their own planes(especially when attacking). -Secondly,not to use at all airforce in CMBB and use instead only the results from the air action in HOI. What is your approach regarding this aspect?
  11. What about a less biased title: "Battle for Europe"?
  12. Actually I already play HOI as strategic with CMBB as operational-tactical level. But it's pretty strange, even with the hughest CMBB map possible, because I have to make a number of concessions, for the lack of a real operational level.CMC would be a real plus and I'm eagerly looking forward to it.
  13. Tiger,of course I wouldn't imagine that Battlefront would change the schedule,it was more like a louder way to express my impatience regarding the WW2 version! Cheers!
  14. The setup zone you assign as setup for AI,must be into the setup area designed with the map tab.
  15. it is good, but not what I was expecting. For ex. the enemy AI won't use it's artillery or air support at all.No anti-air assets, horrible QB generator,an almost random OOB editor. Not to mention lack of water,bridges,rain,snow...etc!
  16. I feel exactly the opposite:after playing a few times CMSF,I want more badly to return to the WW2 with the new CM engine. Even if the germans won't have air support...so what?we can give them some american planes. And about the British module...you say there are some englishmen playing the game and they deserve the module. But I gues there are enough Chinese to request a Chinese module, and the Russians would like a Russian one and so on...PLEASE,that way we'll never get to play WW2 using the new engine!!!
  17. besides,I STRONGLY want a playable enemy ingame AI for CAS and artillery,as well as air defence artillery.... ...Oh well, and,of course, please get rid of the brits module, even the marines Modules, and speed up the WW2!!!
  18. Well, the absence of the AI artillery and CAS is a big disappointment for me,as much as the lack of the on-map mortars.I did wrong by buying the game and now I regret it! Sorry guys, but I wished you weren't so lazy and money addicted. And I'm saying this with sadness, not anger...
  19. I'm not sure what you mean with this. The AI doesn't use air and artillery well? </font>
  20. I see there are new great features in WW2 game, but I would like to know the new features of the marine module in order to know if I buy it or not.A module wich only adds a few vehicles and uniforms will not make my day. When I bought CMSF I was surprised not to see any AA,and when I found that the AI artillery and CAS didn,t work properly, this made me really sad. So,I'm looking to find at least these two things in the new marine module.
  21. Tried,but didn't find all the answers,especially for nos. 1),2),3) and 5).
  22. hi!I must confess I am a little dissappointed of CMSF for the lack of a few features needed for a decent sim and scenario editor. But I'm looking forward for at least a part of them in the new module.So... 1)Will it have a useful in-game AI artillery and air support? 2)New terrain like water, perhaps snow? 3)Anti Air assets? 4)new Quick Battle and Campaign generator? 5)A system(point based or anything else)to create somehow balanced blue vs red scenarios? Thanks in advance!
