  1. I think the medal and the concentric circles are good choices. I'm personally not sold on the tree and the flag. The icons themselves look really good though.
  2. Thanks Noob for trying them out. I made 2 backups of all the BMP's and Wav's by zipping them up and moving them off to a CD. I can then restore to the originals pretty easily. I'm anxious to get some feedback on the sounds. I just played a couple of scenarios and I really liked them. Then again, I did the sounds so of course I liked them
  3. Just finished and am uploading the 00000600's of the wav's. Tank bursts, mortars and others. These are really beefed up and add quite a bit to the size (in mb) to the originals, so unless your system is beefy as well, you might have some slow down with the play. Affects added: Panning (left/right), reverberation, depth and slight flange.
  4. (00000200 - 00000231) - Explosions They're the same wav's from CM:BO I found and I had done a sound mod for CM:BO some time ago (never made it available) so here it is. Very much beefed up the explosions. I think you all will like this one. Available at my site: http://www.garykrockover.com/cmbb/ GJK_Beefy_Sounds_Explosions or whatever I named it I also threw up a list of what each sound wav # is for those interested.
  5. BTW, part 1 of Tiger's grass mod is now available on my site. The other parts should be up sometime tomorrow.
  6. Is it just this one file? I'm downloading it now, will be posted shortly on my site.
  7. I don't have size limitations on attachments for my email, but if you do for your outgoing then doing the FTP route is fine with me. Email me off-list with the details and I'll start grabbing them.
  8. If you want to use winrar or winace and break them into 10mb parts and email them to me, I'll host them on my ever-growing CMBB mod site: http://www.garykrockover.com/cmbb/ gary@garykrockover.com
  9. We have splash-down in Austin, TX! Woohoo! Bad news, the in-laws are in town for the weekend, DOH! Gonna be some late night gaming though!
  10. Nice site Antwar, but you're hit stats javascript has an error in it...fix it or somefink! Just harrasing ya (there is a script error though)
  11. What if I get a "bad" CD, but my current reader will read it. However, 2 years from now, when I have a new CD/DVD drive, and this drive wont read the CD, will it then be too late to get a replacement CD? Or has this been answered already...maybe I should read all the posts in this thread first or somfink....
  12. I ordered on the 23rd. My order # is in the low 90 thousands....
  13. Email them to me (no restriction on size) or if you have a restriction on outbound, email me anyways and we'll figure out an FTP or something. gary@garykrockover.com I'll add them to the http://www.garykrockover.com/cmbb site.
  14. I've got my collection started if you want to email it to me I can post it.
  15. I've uploaded a TOTALLY UNTESTED grass mod, that I would love to test once my game arrives...but it's "real grass" bmp's. I overlayed what Lewallen had done with a sample of an actual pic of some Russian countryside grass. I resampled it to fit and converted to bmp. I don't know if it will even work, so obviously, back up your originals first. You can grab this mod (16 mb) from my site at http://www.garykrockover.com/cmbb/ (real_grass.zip) Screenshots are also provided.
  16. Screenshots are now available. Let me know if the German flag still looks too orange. And thanks to the original mod-artist on this, he needs to have credit for it.
  17. I've made it easier for everybody. Just go to http://www.garykrockover.com/cmbb/ and you will see a filelist with size and name. I'll be uploading my version of the flag mod that was posted yesterday, taking the "orange" tint out of the large German flag by making it a deep red color. GJK
  18. I can't wait to get up out of here (work) for the day so that I can get home and see if I have that infamous little yellow sticky note telling me I have a package! Surely the postman made the trip up to N. Austin for the delivery today....
  19. I tried geocities and netfirms to host the file, but geocities has a 5MB max file size limit and won't allow .exe files (like self-extracting compressed files), and also won't allow outside sources to pull links from their page, and netfirms has a 256k filesize limit... does anyone know of a good free hosting site??? the screenshots are still up on geocities, though: HERE ~Sam</font>
  20. I win it every time. Right from the start, run all the armor down to the victory locations. You might loose 1 or 2 tanks tops. Move one of the tanks behind the woods that hold the large flag to catch the fleeing Germans. Each turn select enmasse 1/3 of the Russian ground troops and opt for "Human Wave" all the way to the victory location in front of them (1/3rd to each flag). You'll have to reorder them every turn but eventually, after the armor has suppressed/destroyed enough Germans, your troops will flood into the victory locations. Hasn't failed yet for me.

  22. Nevermind! I applied the v1.12 patch and it seemed to clear it up. Also related, but it appears that it was taking the images off of the cd instead of the harddrive. I added several scenarios that weren't being seen either, and I had a scenarios folder on the desktop and that was the only folder that the game would use until I installed the patch. Mod's are working great, and even the hi-res show as well as could be expected for an older Mac. GJK
  23. Ok, after playing CM on my PC for a while now and having my favorite mod's working perfectly, I decided to install the game on my Mac laptop (older, original G3). The game works just fine, except the mod's. I've used both of the Mac mod managers. They appear to work, depending on the mod manager itself, I either select a folder that has the decompressed .bmp's in it, or I drag/drop the files into the program. I see the old pic from the appropriate resource and I see the one that is to replace it. I replace them all. Looking in the CM data folder, I see backups of all the originals (with the original datestamp) and new files with today as the datestamp. However, when I play the game, no new graphics show. Mod's that I've tried to use are the ASL interface conversion and the Magua Normandy Mod. Did I miss a step? Does my old Mac laptop refuse to show the hi-res graphics? If so, how is it showing anything since the original is now a backup? Is it pulling the graphics from the CD? I did do a full install. Confused....but glad the game at least runs on the tired old Mac GJK
