I found out how to buy this from canada, i'm assuming it would work in other countries. All of this is done on the amazon.com website using firefox 16.0.2 on a pc 1. You need to change your billing address and/or 1-click billing address to a valid united states address. (I just cleared out all addresses associated to my account and it will ask you at one point for a billing address) 2. Purchase a digital amazon gift card, email it to yourself then activate it on your account (only needs to be price of app your getting). Need to do this so it won't ask for credit card information, if you have CC info in one-click then I'd clear that out to prevent issues. You can use a CC if it's issued from a USA bank, I had to use the giftcard option. 3. We will need to setup a proxy for SSL connections. In firefox goto the options screen, click on the advanced tab on the top, then network on the lower tabs, then click settings in the connection area of this tab. Click manual proxy configure and in the SSL spot put in a USA proxy ip and port and OK out of all the screens, I used this site. http://www.hidemyass.com/proxy-list/search-226496 4. Now you should be able to click the "buy now with 1-click" button in the app you want to purchase and you will have purchased the app. If you get an error about geographical restriction then you didn't setup the proxy right(or the billing address isn't accepted). 5. go to the amazon appstore on your android and you can go into "my apps" and if your purchase went through then you will find your app listed here, download and enjoy. I realize I didn't go into very much detail, I'm too tired to make it more detailed.

Sheesh, a complete lack of proper rules means that the MBT could be posted upon by a SSN such as myself. Never before had I seen such disregard for the what the Mutha Beautiful Thread stands for, stands sideways for .. or just stands on top of. Well that is except for BOO'S last incarnation of the MBT but what else can you expect from him.

OO some very nice discussions here.. I'd just like to throw out another "bone" of sorts. I've made up a little CMBB(don't have cmak.. and don't have cmbo installed) scenario that was what happened in the show I watched. To say the least I couldn't do what was suggested .. because honestly the tiger loses every time .. there's always 2+ sherms left. One thing they didn't tell about or try in the show was smoke. The 3 sherms that are supposed to get taken out pop smoke and I usually only lose 1 of them. The one that's supposed to ambush from behind tends to get targeted or the tiger moves. Played it 3+ times as a hotseat and every time the tiger gets taken out with more than 1 sherm alive .. that's with sticking to what the discovery channel said was their supposed tactic.(if you don't hotseat the ai tiger will turn around so 3 sherms have a shot at it's back turret .. or if your axis the ai sherms will run towards the flag.. had to hotseat it to try and get the results I wanted) I don't know if this provides anything at all by making this scenario .. but it was fun. It also proved (not that it needed to be) that war isn't something you can't always stereotype things about what is or isn't best. It's all about how it's used when it's available. give me those 4 shermans and I'd learn that dern tiger a thing or 2..!!!! wamphyri

I'm not a huge poster on the forum but I've recently been playing another game that would actually add a little to the ideas here. The game is Rome:TotalWar. During the battle that I just took part in I had over 600 men in my army(all idividually modeled - very perdy) .. I had an ally army of over 800 coming up on my rear .. and the enemy army was at 700 .. That's around 2100 models to idividually render and there's no slowdown. It's not the same I know but if this game can put sooo many troops on the field at one time then cmx2 should have no problem. Even if it graphically shows 1:1 that everyones going on about .. but does it's numbers how cmx1 did I'd be happy ... even if my guys died .,. I'd see them all die in a perdy way! Wamphyri

Know it's been a long time since anything's been added here but figured I'd add one instead of start a new posting about it. Had a QB I played vs the russians (cmbb) in around 1942ish, computer determined all units so I ended up with some realy bad tanks with only 30mm armor vs some t34's. There was only 1 flag and it was in some woods on a hill closer to me than him. I setup this brutal defensive screen using the SMG's and 2 FT teams. I guessed perfectly as to where the AI( i know I know .. but I just wanted to play) would come up to attack. I had a staggered line of smg's and regular infantry squads with my 2 FT's in between and about half as many squads in the rear as reserves. It was a brutal masacre, if my smg's didn't get them and they got too close .. the FT's finished them off. I was out numbered at least 3-1, the only real casualties I took were when I tried to deal with the t34's that came near the woods. I'd send my squads out to throw packs and some got gunned down before it happened. Still got all the t34's with my infantry tho!! But the Ft's realy helped in this since I'd probably have been overwelmed from all the enemy troops. All the FT's lived to fight another day! Wamphyri

That's what I've always noticed with the sturmtiger, it'll never go through the armor but the explosion would be completely devestating to the crew inside!! Wamphyri

I would definately agree with trackpad about the tactics used .. the tiger shot on the first tank before it had any others in sight. I'm no ww2 tiger commander but what were the chances of a sherman being alone? Wamphyri P.S. to falcon .. eep .. that'd be rough

I was watching discovery channel here in canada and they had a cool 3 part series about certain weapon/equipment conflicts in war. In ww1 I saw the camel vs the folker, they chose the camel. In ww2 it was the sherman vs the tiger and they chose the sherman, also there was the spitfire vs the 109 and they chose the spitfire. In the cold war it was the mig vs some american fighter(dont member name .. but was during korea both), and the m16 vs the AK-47. Now that thing that gets me is how every allied item seems to win no matter what. During the sherman/tiger debate they had 3 clasifications, firepower/manuverability/armor, and we all know the answer to this .. the sherman only wins the manuverability one. However, it seemed to win the contest because it was mass produced .. well I know this was true .. and shermans out numbered the tigers by a ton .. but come on. They make a new reason for the sherman to win the contest just out of the blue. The only thing that kept me from throwing something at the television is they did an awesome job at re-creating a tiger vs 4 shermans battle. They used actuall shermans/tigers and used fake explosives/smoke to simulate damage. Was realy cool to see the turret speeds in use.. the last sherman flanked the tiger and knew the turret would take forever to transit to the rear. The sherman got a rear shot on the tiger and that was the end. In the testimonies of some sherman tankers they talked about getting 50 feet from a tiger and having round bounce .. god that'd be scary. also, they did a simulation of what a tiger round would do to a sherman. They took a piece of 2" + steel and a bullet shaped thing with explosives enough to simulate a shot at 50 feet. The shot went through the steel and all the little wooden things to simulate ppl with ease!! One of the things the sherman tankers talked about was how many shermans there were .. if theirs got knocked out they'd get put into another one. It's crazy to think how they were pushed into one after another till that enemy was taken care of. Just my views of this whole thing. Anyone's thoughts? Wamphyri

Well on my very first pbem game I was the one who did the sneaky moves. We were playing cmbo and the map was a scenario with pre-determined units and setup. It was a bocage map, and there was alot of it! I was the defending allies with nothing but infantry and he had infantry and 3 stug's! Make a long story short I used alot of flanking moves since he seemed to be concentrated around the middle, I'd hit units on the sides and fade back into the bocage. Managed to kill 2 of the tanks with my zooks and almost the third. Had I sent in all my units just a few turns earlier than I did to crush him it would have been a victory for me instead of a draw. great game! Haven't had any as fun as that one since. Wamphyri

correct me if i'm wrong.. but I went through all the units in cmbb and it didn't show a ferdinand. Was it called the elephant in cmbb?? That's the one tank that looked like what is described here!

That's not true about them being backwards compatible. I've read in the CMAK forum that someone created a program that will convert maps from one CM to another .. with only minor problems, depending on what tile was being transfer to another. But with cmx2 it may not even use tiles!! a fully customizable 3d terain i don't think would be backward compatible with the current cm games. only time will tell.
