  1. The look of the Partisans are unique relative to other units, and do have slight differences between the Major combatants, i.e. colors etc., but nothing very significant. Also, grunts do not change with higher tech levels.
  2. I think this question really comes down to the potential scale you would like the world campaign (or any campaign for that matter) to represent. With all unit characterstics editable, map and resource allocation editable, and a map size range from 32x32 to 256x256 there are a lot of possibilites from small theater maps to global sized maps in one form or another. Hope this helps, Hubert
  3. Actually you can edit the sprites as well as the individual turn lengths
  4. If by time frame you mean the start and end date, then yes, you can set a start and end date from the year 0 up to the year 9999.
  5. It's a little early to say what the final plans will be for the AI but definitly some good points to consider here
  6. That's why it's probably good I let the computer handle the calculations Good catch!
  7. No plans at the moment for this kind of functionality... as expected, most of the focus is on getting the core game up and functional while the extra chrome like this is just a bonus as time permits. For campaign names, I am just thinking of something simple like, using the Poland '39 example, all the units that took part in let's say the capitulation of Poland, i.e. all Axis units in Poland when it surrenders etc.
  8. Actually both the readiness and morale calculations give a value relative to 10, then it is shown as a percentage in game. For example, let's say a unit has moved and starts with the following (just arbitrary values): Morale = 90% (from last turn) Strength = 10 Supply = 8 Hq Rating = 7 The new morale value would be: Morale = 9 * .75 + (9 - 9 * .75) * .8 = 8.55 = 85.5% Readiness = ((10 + 7) / 2 + 8.55) / 2 = 8.52 = 85.2%
  9. Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that we've put up an initial FAQ for the game on the SC2 product page, check it out here: http://www.battlefront.com/products/sc2/faq.html
  10. Thanks for the kudos, it is greatly appreciated and I really do hope SC2 will live up to everyone's expectations. Hmmm.... retiring from game development? To be honest, this is something I have asked myself every once in a while (believe me game making does take a lot out of you and perhaps this is just exhausted Hubert talking here ), and while I do have some further game ideas, I often think about pursuing the *other* challenges that exist out there. No one knows for sure what the future will hold, but at least I try and keep every realistic option open just in case... until then game development suits me just fine Hubert
  11. While the scripts are not quite as specific as the example you've got above, it is still difficult to say (at the moment) exactly what can and cannot be done with the scripts since they have yet to be fully tested. Also, keep in mind that even once they are fully tested, due to the very nature of scripts, there will probably be a lot of possibilities available that I haven't even thought of But I would reiterate what Pzgndr has stated, that there are quite a few different script types and there will be a lot of neat little things you can do with them (including some logical linking here and there), that ideally, should just (in the worst case scenario) give some of the variety and flavour you are looking for
  12. Most scripts have conditional parameters so loosely speaking there is a bit of linked logic possible between scripts.
