That's funny. Really. I mean no disrespect fellow CM'er, but before you enlist, please be careful of what branch and what job you decide to do. The military is not a big Die Hard movie or Quake III match. To explain, let me quote a short letter to PC GAMER sent in from a guy in the army: "As a member of the United States Army, I want to know if the 'America's Army' game can simulate sweeping the motor pool or mowing the grass, possibly picking up the garbage around the post. How about trying to stay awake while you stare at the same screen for twelve hours? Call it 'Guard Duty' simulation mode. These are the things I've done week in and week out for two years. I want a game that pits my weed-whacking skills against another soldiers' online! If the Army could glamorize these facets of 'Army Life,' they'd have an honest recruiting tool." -SPC Name Withheld Do not get me wrong. It is a great and honorable thing to serve your fellow citizens with military service. Just don't let the recriuter make you think you're going to be in Top Gun part 2. Toad, I pick up PCG about five or six times a year (normally when there is an article I am interested in that is too big to read at the newstands). Anyway, Trotter got a two page "annaversary" layout a few months ago from the PCG staff. They spoke of his background and 15 years with PCG, and he named CMBO in his top five favorit wargames of all time. It is a bummer that they skip on wargames as much as they do. I bet they let him have two pages for CMBB. PCG seemed really impressed with CMBO, and have stated they were looking forward to CMBB. I agree PCG aims for a graphics heavy, twich and click fested kind of crowd, but they are the best PC game mag out there. Their reviews are objective for the most part, and dead on most of the time. Since I do not need to buy games very often anymore though thanks to BTS, I don't need to read it as much as I did pre-CM. -

I would like to see what Trotter says about it in the US version. His glowing review of CMBO is what sold that game for me. I ordered the very next day! I was so excited about what CMBO could be (and ended up being) that I must have read that review five or six times while waiting for my backorder to ship!! You guys are all nuts!! For those who took my thread the wrong way: I know I am still somewhat a noob on the forums (even though I've been with CM almost the whole time), I know that member numbers mean jack squat, and this thread was meant in good fun (as it has turned out to be). Sure it dosen't work at times, but it's a great site that he puts a lot of work into. If you don't like it, go host your own goddamn site so we can bitch about it. -
How about splitting the forum up?

Hum. . .hi mom. *Belch* -
I think it is more realistic. If I say to my squad: "run to that building NOW!" I expect they should do it without delay and plot their own path if there are things that block their approach. But if I say: "Run forward 20m then turn left at the rubble heap, then run 15m more, then climb up to the top floor and put your men in the NE corner," I would think my squad leader would need a few extra seconds to devour those orders (not to mention the extra seconds I need to relay them to him over the radio). It just makes more sence than plotting 35 waypoints (as in CMBO) and having your green Sherman undersatnd everything you have told him and exicute it in 20 seconds.
