  1. Yeah! And remember to load the Ohjusmies sound mod.
  2. Holy ****! I just changed my screen resolution to 1280x1024, and the game looks at least ten times better. This is the best modification i've seen yet.
  3. Only thing my CMBB needs straight outta the box is new sounds. The originals just suck. Big time.
  4. Thank you both for your quick responses. Phil, I sent you an email with title: CMBB Performance issues. [ March 08, 2003, 09:20 AM: Message edited by: Ohjusmies ]
  5. I just changed my system from PIII600 with TNT2 to AMD 2000+ With GeForce4 Ti-4800 and 512MB Ram. The old system was running CMBB at wery playable speeds, but with the new one I get about 5fps, wich is totally unplayable. Anyone have any idea why this might be so, I'm really afraid my career as a CM player is over.
  6. Yes. Especially good bogging and immobilization sounds are in short supply (00000311.wav, 00000312.wav, 00000700.wav).
  7. Bruno, I was referring to the finnish independence day, that was yesterday.
  8. I'm currently waiting for my password to the mod database to arrive, but when it does, I will upload everything I can.
  9. Yes. Infact I immediately modded all the sounds after playing the game for the first time, it just sounded that awful to me. I have tried to get them uploaded, but it takes alot of time since I only have a 56k modem.
  10. I think it looks like africa with those trees. Good effort.
  11. Have you ever seen russian roads? I assure you it's possible to get stuck on the potholes they have.
  12. GJK They are better but I think they could have even more reverbiration. You see, firing a gun creates an extremely short and loud pressure wave, most of what is actually heard of it is echo. And when shooting outdoors, in my experience, the echo can be several seconds long, especially with rifle type weapons. But I guess people have differences in taste and 'realistic' gun sound isn't really that impressive when heard from speakers. [ November 03, 2002, 06:22 PM: Message edited by: Ohjusmies ]
  13. Yes, I agree. Most of the original CMBB gun sounds are very wimpy and pasted together from only a handful of samples. What's the use of having a 5 second 16-bit, 44khz. rifle sound if it only repeats the same, low quality sample over and over?
