@FlammenwerferX's luckiest artillery shot ever. Somehow this one landed right on the deck killing my entire SMG HQ riding on the tank in addition to KO'ing the tank and killing the entire crew as well.
Ugggh.

Just wanted to see everyone's PBEM CM experience level? Are you a regular, vet, elite?? I'm just curious how much everyone else does.
Currently I have 5 PBEMs going against three different people. Theaters in play right now are 2 RT, 1 BN, 1 FB and 1 FI.
Who are the warriors out there?

This looks awesome! Thanks!

Ok, back to the real action. @FlammenwerferX and I have about 6 minutes left in Metal on Metal Comet vs Panther, and I have to say this have been some of the craziest, most vicious, up-close, knife fight, tank battling I have experienced.

A couple of shots from @dragonwynn's CMCW campaign, Seven Days. It's been REALLY fun so far!
This brave American soldier had fought so hard defending this position, survived being overrun by three BMPs and a T-62 by chucking grenades and shooting anything that dared come at him, even holding his breath to spring up at the last second to gun down this charging Soviet, only to be instantaneously killed by one bullet while reloading his rifle.

And now for something completely different...
Italy.
Firefight!
The rarely seen Italian fascists!
My favorite light tank of the war.
German airborne amongst the rubble.
-
This place needs some action!
Normandy.
US Paras. The best at what they do.

I'll reply as well, ha! @FlammenwerferX and I are still very much engaged in Metal on Metal. It's pretty epic so far. I think we are down to the last 17 minutes.
Around my other (3) PBEM's with @Fizou, RT, FB and BN, I have just really been enjoying FB and the new content. It made me start the Aachen campaign...
In you go boys!

I hope someone chimes in! I would but I have spent the last 15 months playtesting Mr.X's Summer of Destruction campaign pack.
If no one volunteers shortly I will give it a whirl.

ty , I've been here since 1999!!
2000 for me! I'm still here and don't envision ever not being.

Awesome!! I am looking forward to giving this a go now.
I loaded this up before, some time ago and just couldn't get over the ranks being so off, a captain in charge of a platoon??
Anyway, very cool that you have revised it and made some fixes! I'm enjoying 7 Days so far as well!

You are missing campaigns. I have 24 for Red Thunder XD
5 by Battlefront, 5 by Franck and 14 others created by members of the community.
I started the game in December with BfN, FI and FB. I'm very far from finished XDSame. 24 campaigns for RT also.
If you haven't, once you start playing humans, it's NEVER finished...

It cannot be emphasized enough. If the briefings of the many missions are reasonable, then that is solely @pintere´s credit He corrected all (!!) the briefings and repeatedly had to deal with my terrible English.
Ack!! I meant to do that too for all the 5 Bridges and Tiger Trail briefings! Sorry, I forgot to get back to those.

Do you think the code includes a 'luck dice roll' where one player gets the luck and other doesn't ?
In Pershing vs Tiger this week, I had an unbuttoned M24 Chaffee on recon duty. One of @Ultradave's Tigers spotted it and an 88 shell exploded in the trees a few feet from the TC's head. He buttoned up sharpish, no injuries. The next 88 shell hit the turret and achieved a partial penetration right next to the TC's position inside. Again no injuries, just made the crew 'nervous'. You don't say . The Chaffee then retreated into the trees, and a turn later was Ready and OK...lucky TC and lucky crew.
Anyway, good luck with your Panthers, although I may be a little late for one of the them!
In direct opposition to your lucky M24 TC, another one of my Panther TCs in this battle was killed just being unbuttoned and backing away as one of those 17lber rounds exploded, in the ground, about 10m from my retreating Panther and the shrapnel killed my TC. I swear!! Of all the rotten luck.

Sometimes it's just someone's lucky day, I think. A near miss, a glancing blow. Maybe the TC saw the shot being fired, and had just enough time to duck and pull down the hatch enough to avoid the flying tree splinters. Mantle hit - glancing blow (looked pretty direct though), happened to hit the heaviest armor on a lightly armored tank?
Like board games, while each bullet/shell is intricately tracked, when it hits, there is some element of chance as to what happens, as there is in real life as well. Think of a real person being shot - a half-inch either way might have been fatal, but "tis but a scratch" And since in a different thread someone said I can't say such things without the meme, I bring you, the Black Knight.
Merely a flesh wound.

Indeed. From my perspective the crew spotted the trenches first before even seeing the Panzerschreck team. And then when they did creep forward they didn't see the enemy AT team until they got a mouthful of 'schreck.
However, the T-70 did his job.
