Force Organization At Start

I follow your model. After figuring out my mission, I group my squads by platoon by company, my support units with the higher HQ's. Then I look at the map and decide whom to place where. The grouping process can be tedious but does force me to spend more time plottin' & connivin' before placing units. Cheers, Mike -
I don't think you can find better gaming value for 65 bucks. The only reason CMBO was removed from my CD drive was to put in CMBB. Both games are excellent. Buy the bundle pack and enjoy. Cheers, Mike

"A similar complaint can be made about the Axis AI. No Sealion before Barbarossa. Norway occassionally, Sweden rarely if at all. Ditto for Spain and Turkey. Italy attacks Greece through the mountains rather than a 1-turn seaborne invasion with air support. Rommel to North Africa? Nope." - Bill Macon And frequently won't take Denmark either. I also would like to see more development in this area. The AI seems unadventurous. Cheers, Mike

Another vote for the bundle. You can't make a better game purchase for 65 bucks. Cheers, Mike

Thanks Gordon. You rock! Cheers, Mike -
I played a quick battle set in May of 1945. It was an urban defense with a ragtag & out-numbered German troops I had picked. I had one of my tank hunter teams hidden in the upper story of a building, just waiting for the hordes of Russian tanks that were in view. Then a Soviet pioneer squad popped out of nowhere and ran into their building. And then another popped up and were coming across the street as the action phase ended. I figured that the 2 squads would quickly find and kill them. So I decided to let loose on the group coming across the street, picturing my guys going out in a backs to Berlin, the damned die hard kind of way. The next action phase started and my boys acted like it was a war movie, wiping out the squad by end of the turn. They used up a lot of ammo. The other squad gave them ineffective fire from the first floor and was removed the next turn by a squad I sent to the rescue. The tank hunter team ended up with 18 Infantry casualties caused. Now if I ran that turn again, they probably would be immediately waxed, which is what I thought would happen. But it went my way this time, which will comfort me as my luck goes downhill from here.
