  1. Anyone get the idea that the communication between CDV and the Battlefront guys is not that great?
  2. Kind of cool if you ask me. IGN Holiday Shopping Guide Nothing like a little attention from a mass game media webpage giving props to the game we all know and love. [ November 16, 2002, 05:16 PM: Message edited by: Danzig ]
  3. I think the next CM game should be a RPG based tactical warfare in the world of GI Joe. Think about all the cool new weaponry and soldiers we would see! I mean, who doesn't dream about a tactical battle map involving several H.I.S.S. Tanks versus some Joes armed with laser rifles and jetpacks!?!? Throw in some great character acting, a spiffy soundtrack and you have yourself an instant best-seller! Gooooooooo Joe!
  4. I like the color green. Also, puppy dogs amuse me to no end. Call me simpleton. Call me daft. But why oh why can't people just play the game for fun?
  5. King Rat Bloody good stuff about man in japanese POW camp.
  6. Any chance for making Camo'd guns? Now just painted camo, but perhaps a wee bit of brush and netting around the barrel and stand? Not sure if this is possible, but it sure would make them 88's look damn sweet.
  7. I think we need a seperate forums for CDV customers. 'nuff said.
  8. I think they really are a priority target because everyone loves seeing one of those guys get his tanks hit and go up in a DieHard-style ball of flame and death. Now I hope that's something we see modeled in the next CM, heheh!
  9. Never saw this in CMBO: I was playing the Blitz Op(great Op btw, best I've played yet on CM engine...sooo much fun)and I had a platoon set up in some trees, the HQ out front doing some spotting. During the movie turn I watched as my mortar starting firing off shots without being given a target. When I selected him, there was an orange line to the HQ, and the HQ showed a black line to the target, following it while the mortar team was currently bombarding it! That is sweet, sweet stuff. It's really all about the little changes, heheh!
  10. Not on topic at all, but Rune...Blitzkreig was the absolute most entertaining and exciting Op I've ever played so far on the CM engine. Thanks!
  11. German optics better in cold, worse in heat...
  12. That there, is what modslut legends are made of... Great work, man!
  13. I've had AA listed as shooting down a plane in CMBB. I didn't check it after that batte(I play extereme FOW) to see if it listed the aircraft by name, but it definately showed up on the flak's kill list.
  14. OK everyone say it all at once, so we can just get it out of our sytems. "CDV is not a good software distrubutor and no one in Europe likes them." There, feel any better?
  15. Great idea guys! I have CMBB already, but this is sure making my Saturday at work go by much quicker!
  16. Here, here. Great job. It's all I can do not to go home from work early everyday just to play more CMBB. I haven't had a day off from work since I received the game on Monday, but am REALLY looking forward to this weekend to get some solid playing in and perhaps my 1st CMBB IP game as well! Seriously guys, great job! p.s Yes, another thank you to scenario and Ops designers. Played through about 4 scenarios and just started on my first Op last night. Good stuff and well designed. I loved the Morning at the Zoo scenario, that was soo much fun!
  17. It chucks molotov cocktails far distances. Not to great for against tanks, but will play havok with any halftracks or open-top AFVs, and I'm sure infantry don't like them too much, either!
  18. I've had no problem with this command. The only thing I've run into is when the AFVs don't really have anywhere to hull down to where I chose, they keep advancing to that point. But all I do is just abort the order once I realize they are advancing too far. It's not an automatic tool by any means, you still need to look at the lay of the land and make sure there are at least something like a hill or slope that's going to get your AFV a hull down position. You also have to make sure that the point you choose is going to let the AFV have LOS at some point. i.e. you couldn't place the hull down point just behind a hill. Also, the AFV will stop automatically once it's hull down to the point you chose. When they do stop, just grab the LOS tool and place it where you put the hull down order to, and your AFV should say hull down now. Hope that helps somewhat.
  19. OH AND IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW TYPING IN ALL CAPS IS THE EQUIVELANT OF YELLING IN THIS WONDERFUL WORLD WE CALL THE INTERNET!!!!
  20. BTS said they are working on a way around this. They said it on the last thread you posted the same complaint on, Bullet Sponge. Well, at least for the tracer rounds. I don't think it's very realistic to use tracers for tank rounds, do you?
  21. Tank rounds are a little harder to spot, but they are there, Bullet Sponge. You can usually see the end result of a tank round pretty well though! If you look closely you can usually see the round bounce off a tank and rebound elsewhere if there is a ricochet, too.
  22. The 1st one from the other post of yours is still the most kick-ass, but these are looking mighty sweet as well. Thanks for your efforts, my good man!
  23. We need a seperate forum for CMBB tips and tricks, seeing as sooooo much has changed between the two games.
  24. Somtimes I wonder about people's fascination with FPS count. I mean the game either looks good or it doesn't. I know people who play shooters and keep the FPS up the whole time, just so they can blame an untimely death on a dip in their FPS...
