  2. ...and if you've got time to post cutesy pictures in this fan club, you've got time to fire up that TCP...
  3. Oh, so that's the latest gripe??? Well, if the Bren was detachable, I might think about it... as it stands, those Universal Carriers are subject to such gamey limitations...
  4. Card carrying member of the British 2" club since 2000 - but indeed, my true love is the onboard
  5. Good Gawd those are beautiful, Andrew. I don't care if the Devils wore jerkins in the winter (i'm sure some did, c'mon ) but i must have those masterpieces. Need any more Brit uniform beta testers [hint, hint]? Why, I'd love to... Have I been obnoxious enough yet? Can't wait for your new British Uniform Pack, Andrew. And if the übergrogs reject leather winter jerkins for the Paras, then I say leave 'em in as optional for the punters!
  6. The game is really quite plump. But not enough brain matter is seen after a gamey SMG charge.
  7. Another good site on glider usage, primarily the British Glider Regiments: Glider Pilot Regiment: 1942-45 Quick Link:Loads 6 pounder AT gun in a Horsa And regardless of what you think of Ambrose, "Pegasus Bridge" has some great information on glider training and the famed "Ham & Jam" mission. 8. What can I say that hasn't been said... I like the open collar and visable shirt underneath - that's been a refreshing feature of your recent mods... The dot pattern is one of the best available - very photorealistic. I'll add it to my arsenal as soon as it's available. Merçi. Did I hear that you had some more Commonwealth armor in the pipeline? I'm still drooling over the Cromwell.
  9. Got LOS? If not, maybe the wait'll be more like 6 minutes,
  10. Wow. This should go over really well. Mamasita?
  11. Someone forgot to leave their PIAT in the corner by the litter box...right? Or is it the Walther PPK that's hard coded to look like a Colt .45 again?
  12. Man... and I liked the belt buckle. What phrase/slogan was it that the standard issue Wehrmacht belt buckle had stamped into it (early war, at least)?
  13. I dig the open collar. Shirt underneath works well. The camo looks spiffy with the feldgrau trousers - I'd use it straight outta the box... you've even made the stock face textures look good in that gettup! See here, Mugsy - just you never mind this CMMOS conspiracy, us Mac addicts need it now! [ April 24, 2002, 01:56 AM: Message edited by: Fairbairn-Sykes Trench Knife ]
  14. See, this is the Combat Mission forum, dude, - I don't know how they do it in Mexico, but at least try to post something about running machinegun teams, exposure percentage in a small wooden house, or why the Bren can't knock out Panthers...
  15. It's not like the puppchens actually hit anything. That tank of yours I whacked with a schreck. Serves you right for buying tanks in extra dense woods.</font>
  16. This I can do. I think. [5 minutes later] Well, I'm not coming up with any innovative ways to deride you and your fancy-pants idea. I'm going to have to get back to you on this one. Well it worked for you - now didn't it. My greenies had no idea that they weren't facing a brigade sized garrison with all that scurrying to and fro that you did. Bigger and more ferocious is great, sure, but four (count 'em) 120mm spotters do the trick just as well. Under your proposed system I might have thought you had eight spotters. Sheesh. But seriously, it sounds like an idea that could be implemented with relative ease (not that I know anything about programming) and would make the whole scouting/recce part of CM that much more challenging. [grumble...grumble...something inaudible about Puppchen...grumble]
  17. This entire thread has turned into Commonwealth porn. It's indecent, I say! Perhaps if I had installed "Net Nanny" or the "V-chip" I wouldn't be able to see those sordid spreads of Cromwells and compromising poses of Tommies in darkened leather jerkins. Now, increasingly isolated and alienated (from hi-res Panther mods), I've turned to these scantily clad (dressed only in a 'mickey mouse' camo get-up) sirens of ill repute for comfort. Ummm.... it's your fault Andrew.
  18. "Black Bull! Black Bull! Black Bull!" Superlative attention to detail. That bow MG looks pretty crisp... Finally, the Cromwell is up to the current MOD-slut™ standards... thanks Andrew. [ March 30, 2002, 09:35 AM: Message edited by: Fairbairn-Sykes Trench Knife ]
  19. Thanks, Mr Salt. I was sure I'd read of their use in Germany, Spring '45.
  20. And where, pray tell, is the Morris Light Reconnaissance Car, MkII? Its 14mm AT rifle and lone Bren gun would be devastating to the German player!
  21. I believe it allowed the barrel to be lengthened - thus increasing the initial velocity of the gun. Why doesn't the Daimler get _any_ HE in CMBO? Anyone know the logic behind this decision?
