Thanks Sergei... I have em ok. But am going to rename scenarios and campaigns properly as some of the downloaded ones don't ID themselves as (say) USMC... or UK... etc.
I pre-ordered the NATO/AFGHAN bundle (with hard copies). So, I just downloaded the NATO mod. Lovely. But, it occurred to me that it would have been a nicer offer and wouldn't have cost BFC anything extra if I could d/l CMA at the same time as NATO - while I wait for the hard copies.
The scenarios all have names that start with "NATO..." but none of my campaigns do.
Since I have downloaded lots of campaigns it's hard to figure out which are the NATO ones. Anyone have a list of the campaigns that come with the NATO module?
Am sure there have been other threads about this. IIRC, it does take a long time to dismantle. The real question is why is it possible to to set-up so quickly?
"I tend to sit around a lot trying to identify enemy locations, and then arty them or pick them off from range..."
HP: It makes the game a bit boring, but, I think a large part of success in the game is going exactly what you describe above. (Certainly with the extra range of the Brit rifles.) Not sure why you still get ("unacceptable?") casualties.
Yes, wot Stikky said...
For what it's worth I like to move units (in Hunt usually) but always with a Hide command at the end just in case. Next turn I unhide em and let em spot for a few minutes (assuming I feel there is something out there).
I agree with akd's points. Re Nox's, I have always interpreted what one sees in the game as an abstraction. The "slow" look around would be the time it takes to check behind boxes, furniture etc. I think someone else also noted that the enemy may also be slow to fire at an assaulting team. I think speed of seeing depends on the quality of troops.
I never received a reply from sales re this, but do you charge a CC immediately an order is made, or after the product is ready and about to be shipped?
(I thought it was the latter, but I nioticed my CC was charged a month ago when I made the NATO order.)
I have seen MG teams pick up RPG's and vice versa, so I think that most units can pick up most weapons and ammo, it's just not very predictable is all.
Stagler: Thanks for your reply. However, I meant, are your "scenarios" playable, or are they ONLY maps for others to use for QB's?
Generally, if only a map, it would be called a QB Map rather than a "Scenario."
CMSF takes a lot of patience. I find I have to let inf units (preferably with binocs altho' not sure I see any difference) sit for several minutes befiore they start spotting interesting things. Try leaving your inf units to spot for 5 minutes b4 moving up the vehicles.
