  1. I highly doubt that. He bought 2 of the L/11 regimental guns, not sFH 18s. Those guns werent the most common things around.
  2. The part I quoted is in the third paragraph of that interview, after the interviewer states "They delivered the Churchill later".
  3. The Russians appeared to like the Valentine. Dmitry Loza in his memoirs on www.battlefield.ru said Edit: He also said this about the Matilda. [ February 24, 2003, 05:21 PM: Message edited by: panzerwerfer42 ]
  4. Theres plenty more than 2. They were left out because of time and disk space reasons.
  5. That's most likely the loader pitching out empty shell casings. I've seen some pictures of Stugs with heaps of empty casings next to them while engaging long range targets. To be prepped for all around combat all the loader had to do was close the back hatch.
  6. I've noticed this as well. The 251/21 never targets aircraft. It works quite well against ground targets though. 251/17 will fire at aircraft but not very effectively as already noted by others.
  7. Anything with jager 43 or gebirgsjager 43 squads is basically an SMG unit. They have 2x rifle 7x SMG 1x LMG. The earliest a true SMG platoon shows up is the Grenadier '44S battalion in July '44. Each company has 1 SMG platoon. Volkgsgrenadiers show up the very next month.
  8. The BA has thin enough armor that rifle bullets can punch through it at the right range.
  9. MGs do jam more in the cold and extreme heat in CMBB.
  10. I've seen a pillbox knock out message display "Night is Falling"
  11. Thermite is extremely simple to make. Simply mix aluminum powder and rust powder. Being metallic it's obviously tricky to ignite. Usually a magnesium ribbon is required to ignite it. I've yet to try it but that's the common recipie for it. [ February 07, 2003, 01:34 AM: Message edited by: panzerwerfer42 ]
  12. Take a full can of soda and place on rock. Grab rifle. Point at can and shoot. Observe effects.
  13. Shells certainly have been known to stick in armor. The weight imbalance thing doesn't sound very plausible though.
  14. The 105 howitzer firing HE is perfectly capable of taking out the T-34, so it's higher powered cousin should certainly do the same.
  15. I didn't know it was actually on the page. I thought it was just something someone said around here and was then added to the page.
  16. How about a bare dirt tile? It might not exactly be vital to the game, but it could help make some maps look a little better. I don't think it's realistic to see all open terrain covered in knee high grass.

  18. The 2nd pic posted does somewhat resemble Adolf Galland. If it is Galland then it would be possible the fat guy looking at the camera in the background could be Goering.
  19. Some vehicles it's quite variable. The King Tiger for example had a hydraulic traverse that varied with the RPMs of the engine. At the maximum allowable 3000 RPM it apparently was capable of 360 degree traverse in under 10 seconds. At 2000 RPM it could do it in 19 seconds. This doesn't really match the measurements Brightblade took at all.
  20. I've only seen one reference to russian cannister at all. This is from the memoirs of Evgenii Monyushko on the Russian battlefield site.
  21. I dont know why but this always happens. If you want to keep the TRPs the designer has to add them as reinforcements for each new battle.
  22. The 4200 is still a really good card. Gainward 4200s overclock to near 4600 levels very easily. Stay away from any of the MX series.
