2.
quote:
Originally posted by Juju: *Leaked* or not; after using them for a week on many games I'm happy to report at least I didn't notice any problems.

Same with me. No problems after installing these new drivers. Before *only* problems with CM. So far so good...
 3.
quote:
Originally posted by Vader's Jester: I watched as the Abandoned Pather went from a barrel-down graphic to a half-knocked-off turret to show it had been knocked out

I´ve never seen this! Been playing for a looong time, and missed it entirely... Nobody has a screen-shot of this? Can it be because I started to play CMBO with a really low-end system, upgraded, and still use my original CMBO install from my old HD I imported to my new machine? Jussi
 4.
quote:
Originally posted by Gyrene: Jussi, maybe Tero can point you out to the origins of the ÜberFinn phenomenom. No real harm is meant by any of it, matter of fact Finns can take a joke much better than either Americans or Australians, we could learn a thing or two from you guys. Gyrene

Yeah, Iknow its a joke Just wondered where and when it started so I could sleep better
 5.
quote:
Originally posted by Gyrene: I thought the Finns knocked out T26's by picking them up and throwing them at other T26's, or by swinging mighty trees like golf clubs and sending the Russian tanks back to where they came from. Gyrene

Damn, I´m too new on the board to know how this has started... Anyone remember what post "flamed" this kinda ûberFinn behavior... Our ûbertactic wont work in the future when everyone knows about it...
 6. Yeah, I guess you are right... But he fact that I´m REALLY looking forward too fighting some sovjet ass in different time-framesis tickling me... Oh the bastards who dared to opopse us whe´n we were attacking their country...
 7. The Finnish Winter War lasted only 105 days... From the 30.11.1939-13.3.1940, so I think its very much in the time-frame... Please forgive me if I´m wrong, but this is the knowledge I have... Ohdear... What is the actual timeframe of CMBB...? God this is embarrassing... [ 01-12-2002: Message edited by: Jussi Köhler ] [ 01-12-2002: Message edited by: Jussi Köhler ]

 8. I was just wondering how CMBB is going to simulate the surprising effect of Finnish against Sovjet troops... Can all of this be fixed with the "stamina" factor or is there an other equation in the play... I personally dont hope so, we did whoop some ass (compared to what was expected off us) guite a few decades ago... I know this might wake up to be aflamer, but it certainly is not supposed to be... [ 01-12-2002: Message edited by: Jussi Köhler ] Edited caude Finnish ppl cannt play soccer... As good as the rest of Europe... [ 01-12-2002: Message edited by: Jussi Köhler ]

 16. I have never seen anyhing similar before. I personally think it must have been somekinda bug... Or just the AI reacting to beeing such an easy target... Was the Bazooka team at the point of turning cautious just cresting a ridge or something? Sounds weird...
 17.
quote:
Originally posted by KwazyDog: I was testing recently and played out a battle against two T-34's with a platoon of Pz-38's. [ 01-09-2002: Message edited by: KwazyDog ]

Now who would want do try that... I hope CMBB wont be published in a looong time... My studies are nearing their completion, just the last push left... Would it be possible to publish CMBB next fall possibly??
 18.
quote:
Originally posted by Shipmonkey25: Where did the link to the CMMOS 3 mega update go? I don't seem to be able to see it anywhere on the CMHQ site.

Heres the direct link: http://www.combatmission.com/cmmosv3.asp Worked for me atleast... Jussi
 19.
quote:
Originally posted by Philippe: The other bit of news is that the one thing that Field and Stream didn't cover is winter terrain. Thanks to Ed Kinney and Juju that has changed. They have produced a comprehensive winter terrain set and asked me to write the CMMOS adaption, which I have done. While I was at it I thought it would make a lot of sense to do the full monty on winter terrain, so voila, Winter Wonderland, the winter companion to Field and stream. Publication of Field and Stream, the Abominable Snow Mod, and Winter Wonderland are not linked. For more information (and pictures) check Ed and Juju's thread.

Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes...... I honestly think that after we get CMMOS compatible terrain-sets, not much, if at all can be done to improve on CMBO without changing the code... Incredibly impressive guys!!! After this improvement we're gonna have the most realistic, user-friendly, beautiful, fun, addicting piece of wargaming on our hands...
 20.
quote:
Originally posted by Compassion: For some it causes lockups, but they say that the 23.11 drivers solve the issue. HAvne't had a hankering for DOD in the last few weeks, so I don't know.

Hi there! I currently have XP and a Geforce 2MX400. With the 15.70 drivers CM kept crashing (which it never has done to me before) and had several graphic glitches. Now with the 23.10 drivers all the crashes are gone and the only graphical problem I'm seeing is the AAR-screen transparency. So after a little bit of tinkering I got my system up and running as before. And XP seems so far to be a VERY big improvement from 98, 2000.... Some older programs wont work offcourse, but who cares... CM is running fine Jussi
