If you are talking purely of the fire issue I have been able to light numerous fires with FT and even a couple with molotov cocktails. I have also noticed that forest burns much brighter and spreads. This is just an obversation and I haven't done any real tests so that might be one thing to look at; differences in tiles burning. Just a thought.

Did you read the nOoB FAQ? if not, do so now. Play game after game after game after game. Try different force compositions and then jump into PBEMs in about a month or two. Get used to losing to the AI before you start losing to humans. The AI doesn't send emails like this: 'Dude, nice tank..right up to the point it went BOOM!! U sUk. ' But then again I enjoy taunting and being taunted so everyone has their view of things. Enjoy the game. BTW, when I started my buddy recommended inf only and/ or small maps to get the hang of it. Not another thread that states "'X' cheats and here is the proof"? Please read sig, more specifically the exchange between Zulu and kunstler . I personnally stopped using random settings shortly after getting the game. Occasionally I will try a QB with random settings, but not often, and I am usually disappointed with the results. If you really want a specific force...then choose it. Same goes for the other parameters.

Aaahh, 3 glorious days in the Sin City, the drinks, the lights, the shows, crush of unwashed masses, the giant void left in my wallet...ah, good times. Place them deep in woods on a likely approach and when the enemy troops come up...WHOOOSH!! Oh, it is loads of fun. Their biggest drawback is lack of range (32m max) as an added bonus they draw fire like nothing else. So you have to put them someplace protected or pin the enemy down before advancing your FTs. BTW, Soddball's little game is probably the best environment for FTs. It is at night and in the fog, visibility is so low FTs actually have a chance.
