Ergo, if you want to bray in this har thread about what a tactical genius you (MaggotMoldyballs) are then your sig line is on the line. Numbers and such are for naught. You must register a win. Be it a girlish tactical, a lame-ass minor or manly major win, it must be a win. A draw means that sig line remains the same*. So if you lose and pull a draw on the re-match you sig stays for the required 6 months. Soddball hates the map of the Majestic Rematch. I find this so pleasing that I can hardly contain myself. Gaylord Focker has buggered off again. But then facing a platoon of Panthers with 2 IS-3s, one most likely gun damaged, is a daunting task for even the most stalwart...and this he is not. Did I forget anyone? Who cares. Home late, out early tomorrow. Turns slow or not at all until Tuesday. I think I stepped in some mold and infected my staff, some of which were too weak to withstand it. On a positive note, Soddball doesn't like our rematch scenario. This is enough to make me all warm inside. MasterGoodale is correcting my late night, drunken emails to him but turns are only received every 2 days. In his defense, the maggot is trying to prepare a proper attack against 3000 points of masterfully placed and controlled German troops. He may be a maggot but he ain't as dumb as he looks...or sounds....or his play style would lead you to believe.

Playing around with this. How do you save files? Originally I would open file with notepad and then "Save as" to PBEM folder. Not being too quick it took me about 2 weeks to notice the save feature DIRECTLY below the open file option. :eek: I then switched to this option as it saved me a few clicks. No problems for months. Fast forward to last week, 10 days or so, when the unloadable file issue came up. I had been recieving PBEM files exclusively and my comp always prompted to save in PBEM folder. Well about this time, or a little before, I saved a text file from the forum in "My Documents". Ever since then my comp thinks that PBEM files go to "My Documents" not CMBB/PBEM folder. Much clicking got file into the correct folder. This is when I started getting the unreadable/ unopenable files. Have gone back to opening files in notepad and using "Save as" to CMBB/PBEM and no problems since Saturday. Maybe that solved the problem, or perhaps Al Gore fixed the Internet? Who knows but files are flowing, I am perplexed, and things are back to normal.

Soddball still mulling over the map? Look at the pretty buildings now before they all come down. Prinze Eugen has nothing on the map that I can see. Sez it'll all change soon. Gaylord Focker got off the GF long enough to send a turn. Game sent to Teddy so now the dance-card is full once again.

In the fog and at night visibility drops to 50m. Flame HTs rock in this range. ATRs at this range are completely useless. Geman Pioneers are great for night battles with the FTs chewing up inf, if you have some cover.

Wow, haven't seen Dave H this furious since budget cuts forced the office manager to switch from Starbucks to Folgers. :mad: I do like the peppering of maggot now with every post. You know, the fact that he spent that much time on the subject is a marvel. I don't think he spent that much time on any one turn in either of our two games. Additionally, in the finest American tradition, he found a loophole. And precedent HAS now been set....look for any technicality you can find to keep your sig line safe. It's times like this...*sniff*...that I am PROUD to be an American. Dave H may be a no-game-having, inbred, weasel-humper but he is wily fellow as well. Kudos to you my good man. Got files from two seperate opponents, not zipped, saved to PBEM folder. Exit Outlook, load CMBB, go to multiplayer, try to load file and it kicks me back multiplayer options menu. It also dings that "you-can't-do-that" sound. First opponent whose game this happened with had to re-send file 3 times before I could load file. Other opponent has only sent it twice, so who knows if 3 is the magic number. Running Windows XP, v1.02 CMBB, not a virus as Norton is up to date, system: P4 2.4, 128 DDR RAM, plenty of room on HD, ATi 8500 (sans fog, of course). Could this just be an issue with my DSL service pucking up mail delivery. BTW, email account is with DSL service and they can have probs from time to time. Or is this a "uninstall/ reinstall might fix" kinda thing?
