I looked through it and I'm honestly amazed by the effort that's gone into it. Such a work of art should not be treated as an ordinary thread. I'm on a lot of other forums and there the moderators have the abilit to "sticky" a thread so that it is constantly at the top. That way silly newbies like myself will see it automatically and be reminded to check the FAQ post so that i dont ask any redundant questions!

Makes sense to me especially if these guys are making decisions on their own during the 60 seconds I'd like to see better collsion detection in CM2. I dont like seening one of my tanks go half way into another one of my tanks as it tries to pass it. Kind of ruins the 'suspension of disbelief' thing thats goin on

I know, that CM is a very good game by the way. It's just a lot of money for a poor university student like myself. Plus it will probably make me fail out and make me require another year of uni!! Therefore total cost of CM = 82.13 Cdn + 2,300.00 Cdn (tuition)+ missed oportunity to take that girl I like out = A lot of money and no action! (no non-WWII related action anyways!)

I think the totals are screwed up again. Two times PC users voted at the same time both saying eg.PC 11 Mac 9 So then the next guy went on to say PC 12 Mac 9 when it should have been PC 13 Mac 9 RECOUNT!!

I'm not the kind of person to go and buy my computer games but I thought I should buy this one since it set such a high standard of exellence and I like to support the small companies that actually put effort and love into their games. When I got the bill I found the total to be $82.13 Cdn. Now maybe it's just me but I find this a little steep for a computer game that supposedly has less overhead costs than normal. Any input? (Don't get me wrong, I'd buy it again. It just bugs me when I go into stores and see good videogames for $40 or less) [This message has been edited by Canuck (edited 02-27-2001).]

I just got a copy of what I am pretty sure is the newest release of the game-do I still need the 1.12 patch? Are there any other patches that I need?

Hi guys! I've played through the CM demo and I just got my copy of the game today. I have a question about mods (all groan)....no really I need help. I know where the mods are and where to get them I just wanted to ask you guys for help before I went and overloaded my comp with mods before even playing the original games. What I want to know is what mods should I get as someone who is first playing the game. Now before you go and tell me to play the game and decide for myself what I should get-I'm sure that somewhere in the game there is some skin that CM just totally screwed up on and and you cant stand to play with that old skin and you wouldnt want a newbie like myself to even have to experience it. Maybe I should download a tank mod because a certain original tank just looks like total ****! So if you can think of any mods that you think are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT and imperative that I get before even playing the game please list them here. Oh yes by the way. My copy is a brand new copy from the batch that just came out I believe-am I still going to have to download the patch? Thanks guys!

well I won my copy so I dont feel too bad! I don't think it's that bad-a little rough around the edges but it holds my attention for a couple minutes anyways

Hi I was just wondering if any of these great mods that everyone has will work in the demo? I was looking at the total conversion mods and I was wondering if I could use them (for the demo). Also, Is there a special program that people are using to create these mods? (such as the improved tanks, terrain,etc)
