  1. Unfortunately, there is no bitmap for the berets, shrecks, bazookas and mortars.
  2. The first I can remember playing was TAC on a friends computer. The first one I owned was Kamfgruppe. They're both still kinda fun. As for boardgames, when I was eight,I went to a barbecue where I entered a game of skill and daring (egg toss). My partner and I won and we each got to choose our prize. He picked the Star Wars game (the bastard) and I got AH's Air Assault on Crete.Needless to say, this was a little too advanced for my tiny little brain.I still have it but haven't looked at it in years(still hampered by a tiny little brain I guess). Jarhead,I also ordered those plastic soldiers. They came in a little cardboard box that looked like a footlocker. The bases were too skinny to keep 'em propped up without support and if you managed it you had to be very careful not to breath on 'em.The ads were definitely better than the product.
  3. Steve and Charles announced that CM2 will now be known as CM2:Electric Boogaloo.Less war more breakin'.
  4. I did a search and turned up a free site host that provides a mac FTP program,so I assume that'd work for ya'.I'm not sure if this was what you were looking for or not. http://www.howdyneighbor.com/

  6. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by mensch: when was zimmerment first used? and second anyone have a good site where there is alot of photos (colour would be nice but most likely not avaliable) of StuG's and StuH's? I am looking for a better reference to paint up my StuH/G and maybe even personalize it more, anyone??<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> This site has info and photos of zimmerite patterns for the StuG and other tanks: http://www.panzerdiesel.com/eng/e270.php This site is spotty but it has color photos: http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Launchpad/2173/page2.htm If you don't mind using models as a reference: http://www.track-link.net/gallery.php?sub=list&cat=Germany%20WW2&so=&cp=8 Here's a list of links that you can comb through: http://www.buffnet.net/~tonym/armref.htm Forgive me if this was no help what-so-ever.
  7. There are liquids that are intended for scratch filling that can be found at just about any CD store. There is an item called a Disk Doctor that buffs out(?) scratches.I'm not sure how well any of these works though.
  8. I'll assume that you meant that the "1 captured" was your opponent. That,I believe, refers to how many were captured during the battle not after.
  9. I believe that tanks with additional "armor" are already in the game.In the selection screen they are marked with a "+".I'm not positive though. As for mods,I think I may have seen one floating around but I don't know if it was released.
  10. Thanks for the translation,Gremlin.I can see how green troops might want to take on a tank after reading that.It pushes all the right buttons.
  11. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by The_Capt: I don't have to take off any clothing do I?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Yes.Otherwise the greased gerbils are just useless.
  12. I could be wrong but I thought that they were supposed to have a watch on deck that specifically kept a look out for small boats but didn't.Basically, the captain didn't follow regs.I imagine that unofficially, his career is capped. 13. I read an article a few years back and IIRC it said that ,yes, the legion is hard to get into but that they mostly build roads and other engineering projects in various former colonies. It also stated that one of its biggest problems was keeping the men in shape.
  14. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Wesy: Here's a couple of films for ya... Japanese movies from the 50's and 60's AND NOT JMSDF or JSDF vs. Godzilla Fires on the Plain - B&W, movie about the Japanese retreat through the Phillipines I believe...a bunch of rag tag soldiers very near the end of the war, suffering with TB and many other diseases, starving (think Donner Party)...Generally depressing... The Burmese Harp - B&W, also a classic "anti-War" movie...a Japanese Army Unit on retreat through Burma post Imphal Operations...About a guy who gets separated from his unit and gets taken in by Buddhist Monks. He contemplates life (or rather the misery of it) and goes about buring lots of dead Japanese solders...It really is a good movie...check it on http://www.imdb.com <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> You've got to give the JSDF credit though; they always came back for more.
  15. Watching Seven Samurai or Ran is a great way to spend an afternoon.
  16. I believe it means "if I remember/recall correctly".
  17. Here's a little something on Myth III: http://206.50.51.4/news/displaynews.asp?story=192001-92357
  18. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Major Tom: You ever see that Alyssa Milano Vampire movie? It is always on late at night on those, well, less respectable channels, like FOX. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> If you're watching it on FOX you're not really seeing all she has to offer. As for Daisy, I can't understand the panty hose-with-shorts.I did like her at the time though(and just about every other scantily clad female).
