  2. Ozzy, the preview of your mod looks VERY good, but please make a difference between the scattered tree treebases and the woods treebases which is easy to see ( also with trees "off" ) The differences which i can see on the pictures is too small imho Monty aka Moose

  12. I would like to have an option for a Creeping Barrage ! I read also about arty barrages in which there was a narrow "tunnel" free of arty . In that narrow space, the infantery advanced at full speed. The russians used this, not shure about other countries. Monty aka Moose
  13. Nah, its very early ( 09.10 AM here ) Monty aka Moose
  14. Belgian is no language. Belgium and Dutch people speak Dutch ( Nederlands ), also called Flamisch ( Vlaams ) To make it more complicated, a large section of Belgium is French spoken. That section is called Wallonia (spelled ok?) So, you need a Dutch - English translator or a French - English translator ?? Monty aka Moose [ May 09, 2002, 03:08 AM: Message edited by: Monty ]
  15. Great News ! Sadly, the Cromwell IV i was using in my current pbem battle was knocked out 1 turn ago ...arggghhh!! Where can i download this mod ? Monty aka Moose
  16. Hint: Copy your WHOLE "Bmp" Folder and rename it to lets say Afrika bmp. Then, add all the new bmp files of the Afrika mod. When you want to play Afrika, rename the Bmp folder and name the Afrika bmp folder to Bmp. This way you can play with several terrain mods.
  17. Here are 3 screenies from the movie "When Trumpets Fade" : Here is the FT who will die very soon, he panicked and is now running away: The commander of the group who are attacking the 88 mm guns is shooting at the FT : This is the result : btw the second FT in the group DID attack the 88 mm gun postitions because he did not want to be a Ronson, and he managed to take out the guns. Monty aka Moose
  18. I have "When Trumpets Fade" on DVD, and when the FT was hit by a bullet ( friendly fire from his commander because he was panicked and tried to get away !!! ), the tank burst out in flames, but i did NOT saw an explosion. Only the user died due to burn wounds but other soldiers near would not have been wounded i think. I will try to get a screenshot of it on this forum Monty aka Moose
  19. Awesome !! I am using Cromwell IV at the moment in one of my pbem battles so i can use them NOW hehe.... Monty aka Moose
  20. Good points all ! Here is a completely different approach : ( easier to use for CM ) It would be nice if the scenario designer have an option to stop the players using view 3,4,5,6 en 7. ( forced ) Together with another new feature ( you cant scroll outside of your setup zone ) this gives a much more realistic way of viewing / spotting. The player can choose if he looks around the whole map when the battle has started or he can play "realistic" by only look from his battle line positions.
  21. Maybe this has been discussed many times ( sorry in that case ) but this is what i think about a lot lately : Would it possible for ( a future )CM to use this ? : At the start of a battle, you see only a very rough Map with little details ( especially in East Front the Maps were very bad AFAIK ) When advancing units discover vital points like hills, roads, rivers and bridges, these become visible on your Map ( with different color ) Offcours, normally there would be a time delay between the spotting and when HQ would get this info but for CM we can skip it i think to make the gameplay more interesting and faster. It seem to me, this could be used easily (??? ) in CM. This would also mean, you can NOT see the whole map when you make the setup for units, only the area where you start. I think this would make/give us more interesting battles What do you guys think about my ( hopefully genius hehe ) idea ? Monty aka Moose
  22. Thank you, Monty. Your almost complete lack of comprehension has been duly noted, and will not count against you unless you post again.</font>
