  1. What if it is now a 1 man crew? can one guy drive a Stryker I am playing thru the Training Campaign this morning. I think I would have learned alot if I would have done that on day one. It would have saved me aot of frustration and questions.
  2. My Stryker was not Destroyed or Immobilized, it just said Dismounted. There was still a blue icon above it. I guess the crew had to utilize the facilities. Anyway, how do they recrew the vehicle? How many does it take? They did run like pansies when their vehicle came under fire, but if the vehicle wasn't damaged, couldn't they re-man it?
  3. I got it working. Those Engineers did quite well. What's the encumbrance limit for a squad? How many Javs can they carry? Is there no way to Acquire Javs from a separate squad? Thanks for the help, guys.
  4. Makes one wonder if coding time could have been better spent on other more noticeable issues. When BFC puts out Combat Mission : Portugal to the New World, then a correctly modeled starscape would be a necessity.
  5. Ok, thanks. Why does it have to be so difficult? Why would they grab one and not the other? Do I have to tell them to fill their canteens and tuck in their bootlaces too? Sheesh! I'll try again.
  6. I had an Engineer squad grab some ATGM from a Stryker. They got them just fine but would not fire on the enemy vehicles! Why not? Anything I need to do to get them to fire? This shot is from Small Gain for CMSF
  7. There was another WEGO vs. RT thread somewhere. Majority was WEGO.
  8. ALT-P It is now in the HOTKEY window of the MENU
  9. My 1.03 patch(BFC e-version) to non-standard directory worked flawlessly even on a different hard drive.
  10. I know what it is. The squad screwed up and they're getting smoked. Ready . . . Exercise! ONE TWO THREE ONE ONE TWO THREE TWO "If you maggots cannot maintain your intervals we can do this til I'M TIRED!" ONE TWO THREE THREE ONE TWO THREE FOUR
  11. Collisions are alive and well. This UBER BIMP took out a Bradley. The conjoined twins succumbed shortly thereafter. Battle was Al Wadi Bugger or something. Nice map. Especially with the 1.03 textures.
  12. Judging by this definition, this word may just find a home in this forum like somefink did. from Wiki: Slang Queef (onomatopoeia), pussy fart, and vart are slang terms which refer to vaginal flatulence. The term fanny fart is also commonly used in Britain and Australia.[6].
  13. I was too lazy to type the entire paragraph, so it does sound like a twelve inch curb halted the US military. The Combat Engineers used MICLIC to remove the obstacles: a minefield and 3 railroad tracks I would guess the curb was just an innocent victim. Wrong location type thing. Who knows? But it seems the author would have been corrected by someone along the way about the curb.
  14. Chops try this site This thread says CMSF maps and scenarios can be loaded/downloaded at CMMODS.COM.
  15. Funny you guys brought this up. I am currently reading "We Were One" by Patrick K. O'Donnell(another recommendation from this fine forum). page 73 states: "...the engineers were to clear three lanes through a twelve-inch curb running down the center of a road perpendicular to the Marines' line of advance. The curb had to go since it would prevent even tracked vehicles fro entering the ciy." Tracked vehicles cannot breach a foot high curb? Or would it be an unnecessary risk of damaging your track/becoming immobilized?
  16. JSB, I think another 512 of RAM would be your best bet. I jumped from 512 to 1GB in memory specifically for Oblivion. There was a noticeable difference and my system is older/slower than yours. Athlon XP 2800+ nVidia 6600GT 128MB CMSF should play smoother or at least allow you to up the settings with another 512 of RAM. Good luck, BG
  17. As far as Scenario size, I went thru and renamed them all so they would sort together. A filter would be great in a future release (WW2) I don't play the giant ones. Too much stuff going on.
  18. Just an attempt at a little humor, gummi. . . . . very little apparently. I could tell you were not a native speaker. Hell I been trying to speak American for 40 years and Texan is as close as I can get. No harm intended. Carry On
  19. Doesn't the icons on the briefing screen depict battle size? Two soldiers up to 5 soldiers for big engagements? I would recommend Dawn Patrol. My fav Scenario thus far.
  20. gummi said: Hey, at least you're getting stroked. So when is the 1.03 due out? I thought it was today?
  21. I was thinking the same thing Steiner. We know Fraps seems to cause some problems. I have the mouse/camera lag issues if I run Fraps in the background. Wonder what other software could choke out CMSF? I have an nVidia chipset on my motherboard. Updating those drivers (sound in particular) got me going. AthlonXP 2800+ 1 gig Ram Win XP SP2 Leadtek 6600GT 128ram video using onboard sound
  22. I'm all for the red icon of death as well. I have four healthy guys, was that a 9 man squad down more than 50% or have I only lost a couple of Joes? I can't remember. Knowing what assets were lost would also be a big help. Usually a Leader or Anti Tank asset first, right?
  23. Those are some amazing pics. Kwality is outstanding. What rig are your running? At what settings, AA, etc? The shadows look a little jaggy. Do they look that good "stock" from CMSF or did you use Photoshop to enhance them? Like THEY did here
  24. Just contact Madmatt ( matt@battlefront.com ) or someone. They will verify and help you out. These BFC guys are great. Play the game, join the discussions. This is by far the best gaming forum out there. I think our average age is mid to late 30s, and I would bet more than 50% prior or current military service. Globally speaking. W could always use another lawyer for some of the heated debates. Hawkmek
  25. Same here. No need to have it that small. When I uploaded my briefings I changed them to like 24 font on my file, but they get miniaturized on import.
