  1. If you have time to speculate you have time to play the tourney. Rejoin!! H P.s. As for speculation just wait for it to be released.
  2. Hi, I apologise to my my last two opponents their games are on hold this week as I have a lot of things to do and I need to give the games quality time rather than rushing it. I hope to be back on track this weekend. As for Tero I keep asking him to stop and run away but he refuses. The game is on the way to being finished and I can keep that going this week. Sorry chaps, I hope that is OK? H [ July 16, 2002, 06:13 AM: Message edited by: Holien ]
  3. Ahh so others noticed it too... Make? Model? Manufacturer? Can it swivel or is it fixed? H
  4. A great write up. I have seen the next computer screen for my new home office. H
  5. Hi, Cheers for posting the AAR's. I have been able to turns out for Tero as that game is near the end. My other games are on hold until I get some serious DIY out of the way today... H
  6. Hi, Just got in and I hope you enjoy the Bishop's Finger. You deserve it. Many thanks for the demo and it was worth the two hour drive home, and 2 1/2 hour drive there, through such delights as Brixton, and central London. The game looks and sounds good and I am sure people will enjoy it. My T34's were driven badly and suffered at the hands of some brave Germans with satchel charges and bundles of Potato Mashers. I need more practice! Great graphics. Great Sound and some nice new twists on orders etc... Many thanks BTS and Andreas for being so open about the new product (within reason of course). I must now get some sleep as I have some sanding to do in the morning. A DIY weekend beckons me. I must get athe house ready for the release so I can play the game. H
  7. Sent out a turn to Tero, Not doing well indeed! Ha! As for the turns to Jazza and the new chap Frunze, I have seen them and need to process them on Saturday. I am having a night off and going to a BBQ to see what the future holds for CM. We are on the tail end of the game with Tero and I am not sure who is holding who's tail. BTW nice moves with a brave BHQ deep behind enemy lines. Not often you see those boys leading from the front!!! As for the other two they are progressing well and should be finished on time. H
  8. This sort of information rerally helps game play and perhaps should be in the manual. All of this sort of stuff is discovered by reading these threads and if you are new to the game playing an old hand you are up against it. H
  9. Why oh why? Bad news... Sorry to see you go I had hoped to best you again!!! H [ July 10, 2002, 06:13 PM: Message edited by: Holien ]
  10. Look darling you were good, but a chap has to move on to better things. That game was stonking and one of the best scenarios I have ever played and I am glad I shared that with you.... However, the next best is Head for The Hills with sweet Tero... He is terroising me with too much XXX at the moment and I await every turn from him with sweet anticipation..... H
  11. Well that is a revealation on the combat bonus. I will stop placing my decent HQ's next to guns. I had assumed a greater hit chance but if that is not the case you only need a HQ with Stealth and Moral near a Gun and even then Stealth is useless after the thing is spotted. Which is darn quick when firing. This will affect the way I play and give me a stronger edge in the future, as the use of HQ's can be essential. Thanks for that info. H
  12. Hi, I guess we would not be having this debate if the American Version of the game was the same as the European one? If the changes are so small (and they do appear to be) why not have one rule (software version) for all? Would America be happy with that? Anyway, it is obviously a matter of principal for some people. Those people have total free choice to use the back door to if they want. H
  13. Look guys it is no good beating your breasts here. Enough has been said about the distribution. Your choice is simple. 1. Buy from a CDV source in Europe. 2. Get an American friend. 3. Don't buy and cut your nose off to spite your face! No amount of moaning is going to change this. THE GAME PLAY WILL BE THE SAME no matter which version you have. The copy protection issue is slightly unclear and I am sure will be answered soon. H
  14. This is not free trade? Before I start something, I understand totally why this is the case as BTS have had to make an agreement with CDV to not under cut their ability to make money from the deal. Fair enough. That is business. I guess us Europeans will be giving some of our money to CDV and not you. There are of course ways and means around this. If you happened to know someone in the area covered by BTS then you could pay for the software and have it delivered to that address. Of course you would then have to pay postage out of that address and hope that your friend there would do that for you. I am sure most Europeans will take the CDV route, or explore off board discussions with friendly Americans. This is mere speculation on my part and not an intention I hold. H P.s. This is not giving BTS a hard time as life is full of compromises and I support their decision to market the game via CDV. It is after all their business and as they have delivered the goods, I support their business. [ July 09, 2002, 06:15 PM: Message edited by: Holien ]
  15. Nice photo's Pity about the grockels and tank tops... H
  16. Patches!!! You talk of patches... The game will be perfect!!!! H
  17. Hmmm I wonder what the photo's show... I do hope I was dressed decently or the fashio police will be out to get me. As they should some other people. I thought lederhosen were out of fashion, but I was wrong. H
  18. As for Fashion.... You are in a league of your own Justin, and long may it stay that way. 50,000 ft and under... H
  19. Hi Justin, I know that I will be playing both games. I guess a little less of one than the other. H
  20. Hi, So what is the ruling here on Passwords. I am happy either way just lay it out clearly what you want to happen? I have no fear that White4 or Redwolf will pass them onto anyone else. I also doubt that it would help anyone as it would be against your interest to pass it on as you would be helping someone who you are effectively competing against. Anyway TB / Winecape please make a clear ruling so I can abide by it. We shared passwords in the last tourney and I do not think it affected the outcome. H
  21. Yep I am a memeber but this year you have to pay, even as a member. Reduced fee of course... I hope to go both days as I have only been one day before and it was just not enough to be able to see all that I wanted in the detail I like. H
  22. Yes all the time ohhhh Mighty One!! But nowt in it apart from a turn from Jim and the setup of the final tourney game... I guess your ISP is a bit slow!!! I await your command... H P.s. I bet you make it a weekday to try and stop me coming down...
  23. "German Boy" "England Expects That Every Man Will Do His Duty...." How about it? H
  24. JK, I have shared my password with my opponent. I can see no harm in it if you can trust them not to pass it on to anyone still playing in the other groups. Both of my opponents fall into this category of totally trustworthy (if not on the field of battle) and I know it is not what I would do. If TB thinks otherwise then I will not continue this. Sounds like a great show and I shall have to check out the fort the next time I am over that way. H
