Now send the turn and let me die in peace. These last two games are on maps that do not inspire me but are certainly challenging me and causing more grey hair than I really need... H P.s. Frunze is still at it and yet more vehicles need to be washed down and mud removed from the gear box...

To the Cpl and Frunze As for bogging vehicles I only wish I had followed your advice... As for my PC. It will be out the window if it gives me anymore turns like that!!! :mad: I think Redwolf has given me some of his luck... :eek: Anyway it is good to be playing again even if I am doing poorly. Hi CDIC, Just re-reading the thread and it slipped past me 1st time that you now have a sproglet!!! Congrats... As a special Sproglet present if you e-mail me your address I shall arrange for the magazine to be sent out to you. I can not find the article at the moment as it is in a box somewhere but I do know where I can get the magazine and will send a copy over to my favorite chinese based player... As for the tourney I have done moderately well so far and I am suffering a bit as well. I hope as always to do well but should pay better attention to where I should place TRP's. As for your game I have just done the set up and found that some of the boats in the free placement zones will not move. Did you know this? I can not say too much here as my opponent might stumble accross this post... Anyway it is nice to be back on line after a two week lay off... Catch ya later... H

Head for the Hills is my second favorite game in the tourney and the map and game play had me on the edge of my seat... Mind you I had a worthy opponent on that game... As for St Mere Eglise I am becoming fond of it and starting to hate mud and Americans with too many automatic weapons... Another Day is progressing and my new opponent has done well this turn. Shhhs don't wake him as he is asleep and the good news awaits his morning... H

At last my PC is back up and running and I now have carpet underfoot... Two turns sent out and the last two games are rolling out... Sorry for the delay chaps... H

CDIC, The Map Rocks... I think the raid was in an edition of a magazine showing pictures of the battle site the and now. I shall see if I can dig it out once I get my house unpacked after decorating. I have yet to start this game as I need to focus on the tourney which you escaped from, damn you... BTW if you designed any of those tourney games let it be either the game with those damn mountains or the defence of the German town on the side of the hill. Both maps rocked and the game balance was quite good. Anyway just thought I would say hello and let you know your work is liked. Now if you can e-mail me any tips on the game as an Allied attacker that would be great... H

Hmmm, That is a ruse I rarely use. There is usually too much map to guess correctly and it is a waste of points to buy too many of them. You usually have better points to use them on rather than set up zones. However, I can see that if you did choose well it would upset the attacker. IMO TRP's are better used when you are going to have repeat use out of them. For example if you have a bunker and position ity in such a way that it can only be attacked from a certain LOS. If you place the TRP on that point then you will enhance your chance of a 1st shot hit. H

TRP's are essential at night with Arty. Use TRP's to target open gaps in between woods where you know enemy armour has to pass. Use TRP's on dense woods where you know the enemy is likely to advance through. TRP's on Flags is a nice treat for the attacker and allows a pre softened counter attack to be made. TRP's on the reverse slope of the hill from which the attacker will attack is a good way to ensure the accuracy of your mortar and artillery fire. A TRP a day keeps the attacker away. I love TRP's and they are essential means of leverage in a defence if used properly. H

Ohhh bugger another chap down... I am on turn 13 of 30 with Jazza "Another Day". I will await info on to who to send it to? Will re-start both games this week after DIY delay. That is of course if I get my office back after the carpet is laid on Monday. H

I have been off line for two weeks but then that is because her indoors has me by my balls at the moment.. Just waiting to get my office back up and running... H P.s. White4... If you lived a bit closer I would get you doing the sodding painting I have been doing most evenings. That with dismantling wardrobes and moving planks of wood would help deal with no turns. It looks like this weekend is blown for turns and I truly hope to get back to normal next week and finish the last two games. My office and PC have to be dismantled tonight so that new carpet can be laid and the walls painted. I actually come to work to rest.... And read this forum as this is the only contact I have with the game.... The end is in sight and it can not come soon enough.... Sorry chaps... H

Hi, My apologise to the players of the last two games. This weekend was heavy DIY and sorting out my tattered finances. This week is another one which will be dominated by DIY and trying to finish the project. I might get a turn or two out but don't rely on it. Sorry chaps... H P.s. I think we have enough time to finish the games if we can continue as we were before I bombed out on you. Please let me know if you have any holidays comming up that might preclude us from that aim?

Hi, I have just seen the end with Tero and that was some fight. The last two games will be kick started this weekend once I have my floor sanded and the stairs installed.... It is all comming together nicely... H

Hi, I apologise to my my last two opponents their games are on hold this week as I have a lot of things to do and I need to give the games quality time rather than rushing it. I hope to be back on track this weekend. As for Tero I keep asking him to stop and run away but he refuses. The game is on the way to being finished and I can keep that going this week.
