  1. Okay, as of tonight it's official. I hate them. They are not inaccurate as portrayed above! [ October 11, 2002, 12:41 AM: Message edited by: -E ]
  2. As a complete coincidence, I was playing a TCP/IP game the night afer this thread started and found his evil bolshivek ampulomets killing my tanks left and right! So much for being inaccurate! *argh/grin* Not sure about the Soviet National Anthem initially, but it does work if you change the tempo! LOL
  3. ROFLMAO! YOU are the guy John Cleese portrayed in a movie aren't you? (and I thought he was just being outrageously silly, never knowing it was a serious character study of a real person!) ...Now go away, or I shall taunt you a second time-uh. *grin*
  4. Crap. Now I have to try this... where can I find a sound file of the Soviet National Anthem?
  5. There is at least one dissenter to having a hard copy manual about the house. He's a parrot and obviously hates CMBB as evidenced by his attack of said manual. Luckily the manual was saved from total destruction by an in attentive owner with a quick reaction time. That same owner learned much about CMBB from the AAR of this quick battle.
  6. Which Vancouver? The one nearer Doug & Bob McKensie's Great White North? Or the one 4 hours below it which is closer to your listed home of Havana Cuba? *ducking and running grin*
  7. Preordered 7th of september and still waiting. Now that is .... </font>
  8. VERY nice job on all pages concerned! (and I appreciate how tedious it must've been!) But there is another excellent use for these pages as well... they will help me decide which units to buy in QB's in the future based on your pics! (EVERYBODY knows having cool looking units is 90% of the battle! Right!? *grin*)
  9. I gotta chime in as well with serious kudos!
  10. That's no help... they're useless underwater! Again no help... every attempt at submerging ran into serious boyancy problems. Actually, I later ran into another mention of one of these which included a picture of one emerging from the river [insert some semi-famous Russian river name here]. After careful study of the aforementioned picture and very careful consideration with a serious eye to grognardom, I came to the conclusion that it looked like a wet tank. [Crap! I hit my grognardom while typing this message! ...boy, that smarts!]
  11. While this was in jest, if under fire I would certainly love the cance to submerge! (not schwim) LOL
  12. Tauchpanzer III: "Diving tank." 168 Ausf F, G, H, and PzBefWg III Ausf Es were converted from June to October 1940 for Operation Seeloewe (Sealion, invasion of Britain) by the 18th Panzer Regiment of the 18th Panzer Division. The air intakes were closed by rubber seals and the exhausts had non-return valves installed. An inflatable rubber seal was placed around turret ring. The hull MG and commander's cupola had rubber covers installed. There was a pump that removed excess water that got inside tank. When under water it would get air from a 59' long and 8" diameter hose which was attached to a float that on later models had a radio antenna. It could operate to a depth of 50' for around 20 minutes. Explosive charges were installed to the seals to be set off to remove the seals when tank reached dry land. A command vessel would communicate to the submerged tank via the radio to guide it. ...I think we've been short changed by BTS!! *grin*
  13. No this is an upgrade from that one! This one uses a more CMBB-like interface at the bottom! I'm really insulted. I can't believe you didn't appreciate the technical expertise and extraordinary effort to incorporate that into a screenshot, ah, I mean the "mod." LOL Who didn't? *grin* It can be run it on win98 and in Dos under win98 using a couple of A][ emulators. Couldn't tell you if win2k would run it.
  14. Who's grass mod are you using and where can I get some, err, it?
  15. . . This mod may not see public release due to delayed governmental declassification and technology patents pending.
  16. A WEEK after the release and you guys are talking about fixing things?!? You guys are doing it ALL WRONG! Boy is the rest of the industry going to be pissed when they find out you guys have set customer relations/satisfaction/complaint resolution precedents! (CRIPES! If this gets out, consumers will EXPECT to be treated like customers!)
  17. Increase your desktop resolution to higher than 800 x 600 and CMBB will allow higher.
  18. I'm not addicted to online porn. I could stop anytime I wanted to. If I wanted to. I just don't want to. No, really, I *could* stop. Problem with CMBB is that it lead me into online porn. If I hadn't read this BBS, I wouldn't even have know it existed.
  19. Get the free program "Qres" (swaps desktop resolution, launches your program, then changes desktop resolution back to whatever upon exit). (You'll have to do a search on where to find it... I've had it for years and can't remember where I got it from at this late stage).
  20. It took about 4 days for a large number of people in Washington to get it. But, this was from the mass pre-ordered mailing/release.
  21. I believe all CMBO parent models incorporate anti-hero/parent-worship logarithms that incorrectly cloud the player's impressions of capabilities. Keep in mind that the sequel (Toy Story: Beyond The Crib (aka TS:BTC)) will have the opposite game effect on one's children.
  22. Ditto. (Kampfgruppe for the Apple ][ was one of the two first games I ever bought)
