I can't believe I didn't see Kampfgruppe mentioned up there! (or did I miss it? *grin*) I'm back with Compassion's list... Do I remember Computer Ambush? I still play it occasionally! In fact CM is very reminiscent of CA when you've stacked your orders. Padooka, go get 'em! Or... one of my all time faves was Operation Market Garden for the IIe. Although a bit off the subject matter, my absolute alltime favorite was Fighter Command for the IIe... Note: all of the above are still playable using A2 emulators which are available for PC's & Macs

Perhaps you guys talk too much & should play more? (ducking & running... *grin*)

KUDOS to BTS!!! Not only for the upcoming TCP/IP, but also for being REALLY daring and telling us what's going on! NOT ONLY THAT, but also telling us things like "Charles doesn't know how to program that." Wow! Do you know how many years we've been kept in the dark? This is so damn refreshing, if I didn't love this game, I would still support this company!!! Now for a slight problem... I saw an admission from BTS that they have actually been sleeping. That's THIRTY PERCENT of the day to most people. If they had given up sleep all this time, we could've been asking "when is CM II going to be out" by now. (This logic follows the line of the old Abbott & Costello skit where he works a year at a dollar a day & wants to be paid, but is informed that he only worked 8 hrs a day, meaning he only worked 1/3 of the year, and then there were weekends which had to be deducted, etc, etc until he only has a single dollar... which a bellhop waks by & grabs).

I can no longer play CM with a straight face!!!!

Where did all those hilarious hamster posts & pics go? (I can't seem to find the right ones using search... only bits of them or references to them) I wanted to show my wife how Kitty's in-progress site & mod were started/instigated, who BTW, did not fully comprehend the danger posed by these units. (and now they've gone undeground... *ack!*)

CM continually surpasses my expectations! To me, it is also reminiscent of Computer Ambush, Battle Group, Panzer Strike, and a host of others... seemingly taking the best of them all and improving upon that, then throwing the nice additions!

Having grown up thinking Capt Kirk _and_ Spock were green, I don't see the problem. *grin* (I'd just suggest drivers as the others have)

Even a hamster-hater such as yourself, can appreciate the need to learn from history! If we don't learn from the history of hamsters at war, that same history is doomed to repeat itself! (read: more hamsters!)

Almost as important as the actual mod you are working on, is finishing your site! It will be a great clearing house-reference for those of us researching the history of hamsters at war, while not having direct access to the recently unclassified informational histories at the pentagon!

Got 'em! *grin* (I think the only thing I need to finish the Germans is the non-winterized halftracked vehicles). (I _HAVE_ to play the Germans since I started doing that in Kampfgruppe on my Apple IIe... hmm, wargames have come a long way since then! *grin*)

I'm in need of mods for the German halftrack vehicles (SPW, etc)... are there any out there? (guess who's been mod'ing it up all weekend? *grin*)

Kudo's to BTS for laying it all out... sure makes a delay easier to swallow (and increases our dedication to BTS for trusting us with actual information versus the standard "just bump the date" news from others)

Thanks, that works. Too bad it won't stay at a higher resolution if I subsequently reset my desktop. *sigh* (I like games at higher res, my eyes want every-day text at lower res *grin*)
