  1. Well, not actually a feature, but could you move to the west coast prior to the next release?
  2. That explains why he's a Commissar. (Commissars and party officials all live in dachas in Redmond, Bellevue, Issaquah and Samammish). (Gig Harbor/Key Center)
  3. Okay, pre-ordered it. Now send it or somefink! *grin*
  4. In 5 minutes would work for me. Of course, it will lead directly to the "do you still have my order? where's my CD?" syndrome.
  5. I think I know what the translation for 00000504.wav is without resorting to subtitles or external help!
  6. Sorry Matt, Haven't gotten over this way in a long bit and seem to have poked a hole in the peng thread as it leaked into this one.
  7. When can I get on the waiting list? [ August 23, 2002, 10:40 AM: Message edited by: -E ]
  8. Wittman & Hobo are dead wrong. I don't know what the best feature is (and it's highly sadistic of you to ask!), but I can tell you the escape key is your enemy if you use a Voodoo card and any FSAA. (although there probably aren't many 3DFX cards in workplaces are there? *grin*)
  9. Are those pre-historic dreadlock toupe's on the men?
  10. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by New Age Santa: I thought the victory flags were to represent important tactical positions. Small flags being smaller points to take and not as important and the large flags for the areas that are of the utmost importance....<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Survey says..... bzzzzt. Smaller flags are lighter than larger flags, and thus more prone to become mobile.
  11. I've really been thinking about the original post. Is he a public defender?
  12. You are all a bunch sick bastages (but not farging bastages). Now I know why I had to stop reading this BBS for awhile. ...Although Joe Shaw is the only one who's really hit upon the crux of the matter. A simple look at your screen will make it PAINFULLY OBVIOUS... those flags are WAY too large and WAY too heavy to move about. ESPECIALLY the major objective flags. You'd have to rope 5-6 heavy tanks together to even think about it (although making Tank Rafts were a common tactic (did you really think they supplied Lenningrad over ICE?), this tactic is beyond the scope of CM. I believe it was supposed to be incorporated in the game at one point (look at some of the skins, they have ROPE for tying up Tank Rafts on the sides of the tanks), you'd have to ask Charles why it was really dumped as it's absence really detracts from the game (and creates topics like this one).

  14. 1. Where do we get sock puppets? 2. What is the effective range of a sock puppet? 3. Does a sock puppet in sneak mode, get the hull down benefit?
  15. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by russellmz: who cares if it takes five shermans to take a tiger if at the end you still got one or two sherms and he has nothing?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I'm thinking the guys in the first 4 Shermans might care. *grin*
  16. But then again, it may be something as simple as finding where infopoop put the "Visited Link Color" in the style settings for the new control panel. ( Matt)
  17. [Correct me if I'm wrong, but...] As I understand it (?) the new UBB version generates the html code on the fly for each reader, making each page, and it's not-yet generated links, "new" to the reader's browser each time the reader loads the main pages. The color of the already-linked is a function of your browser, but if all the links are _going_ to be brand new _after_ you click on them each time, it probably confuses everybody's browser. (i.e. you may've read a thread before, but it's going to be completely "new" if you try to read it again).
  18. I tot I taw a puddy tat! I did! I did tee a puddy tat! (hey, you ever try to type tweety bird in UBB?!? *grin?*) Desert Hummel (& nashorn)(& 250's & 251's)
  19. Sorry. Had to get that out of my system. I don't necessarily feel any better though. *sigh* (the thermometer bar is still blocking my view that could be put to good use while waiting for my screaming internet connection to do it's thing (well, I've been known to scream at it, so that makes it a screaming connection right?).
  20. > Might you be thinking of the 15cm sIG33 auf > Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen II(Sf)instead? No, I'm thinking of the one in the pre-made scenario that sticks out like a sore thumb in light of the other desert camo's. *grin*
  21. Got all of those... they're the mods that make the hummel stick out like a sore thumb and lead me to this emergency quest! (going to play some more online in a couple of hours, and can't have a sore hummel, err, thumb)
  22. I need one quickly, and could swear I saw one somewhere before... help?
  23. The AI does cheat. I caught it cheating (had a fifth Ace up its' sleeve). I had to take it out back and teach it a lesson. When I was breaking its' fingers & kneecaps, it suddenly just died (see! it even cheated me out of my just revenge!). So I had to get another game. I think the word has gotten out, as I haven't noticed any AI's trying to cheat around here anymore! So as you can see, everybody above is right, depending on if their AI knew of or was related to my original AI, and got the word about what happens to CM AI cheaters.
