  1. No outdoor activities to keep 'em occupied? Real life maybe? Any life? Sheesh.
  2. Welcome aboard Timu24. Get some good practice in with CMBB and CMAK. We always need new blood (to flow) in the next incarnation of Rumblings of War. Sincerely, Charl
  3. Excelllent MikeyD. Many thanks for the time spend. Much appreciated.
  4. Indeed, the link is amiss. Nor can I find it.
  5. WN, You could/should blame it on Matt for swishing it all up at the CMVention. Winners Prizes: 2 of the 3 arrived in Australia and UK respectively in good nick. 3rd one will probably end up in some ATF gent's gullet, given that USA wine lawyers are forming a sing-a-long "Free the Grape Society" at www.wineinstitute.org/shipwine/index.htm [ February 23, 2006, 09:37 AM: Message edited by: WineCape ]
  6. Walpurgis nacht, I've timed the courier package to not arrive when you are at home. Please leave again.
  7. Lemme do a search ... again. Works now at http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=16;t=019362 . See Shandorf's comments @ Tourney II a few scrolls down. Funny dude indeed. BTW, is he still around? [ February 23, 2006, 05:32 AM: Message edited by: WineCape ]
  8. Glitches have been found in Beta. More testing needed.
  9. Right, Victor Charlie has just mailed me to say that he has received his winners booty in good form in Bondi Beach, Australia. Any other so lucky? Let me know. Sincerely, Charl Theron
  10. Lars, Thanks for the honeymoon and (d)how picture on the pond.
  11. Ignore Seanachai at your own peril - he delivers rabid prose & is usually senile, but he can make sense if you have your bi-foculs on Welcome aboard! Sincerely, Charl Theron
  12. Ace & GaJ & Kettler & Cpl Carrot, Many thanks for the efforts with RoW V. Likewise Richie for your prize, Mike Meinecke/Treeburst for his monetary contribution. The others I have mentioned and thanked by name already. The 3 cases x 12b wine prizes for the 3 winners have been despatched and will probably leave the shores of South Africa by early next week via plane. I have selected some Cab, Shiraz, Pinotage, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and some Red blends for each winner, a cross section of the noble cultivars we produce here in the Republic. Sincerely, Charl Theron
  13. RoW VI might well be based on CMC or even CM:SF - who knows.
  14. John, Can't find the winelist that you've requested in an earlier post. Must have deleted it. Apologies. SteveS, Your welcome & Prost! Let me know when the goodies eventually arrive. Sincerely, Charl Theron
  15. Update for 3 winners: The assorted wines - various cultivars to give a broad spectrum of SA bottled sunshine - are packed in their styrofoam boxes. I have received the export documents and collection from my premises for couriering will be this Thursday coming. Expected transit time 12-18 working days to the USA, UK and Australia. Kind regards Charl Theron
  16. Victor Charlie, Walpurgis & SteveS, I'm at a referee refresher course in Jo'burg - on short notice. Only back coming Monday. Not to worry, the wine will only improve during this time. Will drop all three an e-mail with my wine recommendations. Sincerely, Charl
  17. As long as you're old enough to drink it I'm off to another province this weekend to officiate a pro match - after a 3 week recess - so will honour my promise to the 3 winners as soon as I'm back next week. Congrats to all the other participants for sticking it out, despite some hiccups. My sincere thanks to the scenario designers, Cpl. Carrot, Ace Pilot, John Kettler et al for admin duties, not forgetting Diablo Fish. Sincerely, Charl Theron PS: Can the winners drop me an e-mail so long at WineCape@global.co.za as to what they prefer regarding red and/or white wines. As well as their street addresses and day/mobile contact numbers for the courier of wines.
  18. Kingfish, Do you mind forwarding the winner e-mails to me so that I can start preparing the freight of wines to the winners' respective addresses? Sincerely, Charl Theron
  19. You see, It's a drug. Somebody was of the opinion a few months ago that a great chunk of forum members either D/L the mods or yak away here - or both - without playing CM. For months on end. Perish the thought. I personally look mostly for MikeyD and Andrew Fox's mods, repeatedly, diligently, oh, and Tarkus Interface mod is another must have. So many must haves... But paying for them. No thank you. Then I'd rather leave BFC's mods as is out of the box. I'd rather BFC charge me more for creating their game artwork then pay someone for their incarnations, with respect. 20. Gack! He's back. Missed your light sense of bonhomie in this dark, desperate thread..
  21. I believe prizes are in order of delivery, Kingfish? Congrats to WN (2nd time winner), Steve and Victor, as well as the diligent participants. KF, send me the e-mails of the wine prize winners so that I can start discussions regarding ther wine choices, will you. Regards, Charl Theron
  22. To answer BigDuke's question: The mission/battle was a complete success/victory for the USA forces. The war and its strategic/operational aims are another issue and debate. Inferring any operational/strategic and political aims, as derived from this specific battle account is - given the microscopic nature of small encounters and no benefit of hindsight - pure speculation. 23. Aha, the real issue I venture to say BigDuke. ***EDIT: Deleted the rest as tried to get witty with booze in the cellar underneath the mosque and added, as usual, nothing to this interesting discussion. Apologies.*** [ January 05, 2006, 04:24 AM: Message edited by: WineCape ]
